An Exceptional place to StayPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The room and the views.
Cons: A very slow check-in process. The lady that checked us in didn't seem to know much about the room locations, views, etc.
Location: Everything is available at this 5-star resort.
With the exception of a really slow check-in, you couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Beautiful grounds, lovely room, views everywhere, great service etc.

The Boulders-R & R tripPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The comfort of the rooms, the feeling of being a bit isolated yet all the luxury of a big resort!
Cons: Monitor the number of guests at the spa pool & adjust wait staff accordingly. Only one waitress on a very hot day. She tried, but service was slow!
Location: My trip was a rest & relaxation event so no activities planned or required. Was glad there was nothing for me to do (by choice)! :)
This is my 2nd visit to the resort and another lovely experience! The room was perfect, bed & bedding is divine. Staff is very attentive, quick to respond when I needed a shuttle, always pleasant and generous with the bags of ice! The spa is like an oasis in the middle of the desert, quiet and in spite of the 100 temperature, was very pleasant poolside! Food at the Spotted Donkey - WOW! All in All an excellent stay, I will come again!

The Boulders was an exceptional resort!Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: The rooms were large and well appointed. We even had a dressing table with make-up lights. The food at both restaurants was outstanding.
Cons: More shops open in the shopping mall on the grounds, but I understand their having to close for lack of people shopping there.
Location: Excellent shopping nearby! We toured Frank Lloyd Wright's home and drove to Jerome, a mining village high in the mountains. Sedona is nearby.
We felt as though our casita was a hideaway with no access by car. Our patio had views of cacti, blooming flowers with hummingbirds and rabbits running in a creek nearby. Golf carts picked us up for our spa treatments, golf adventures, or lodge amenities. The food was excellent, the shopping fun! The staff could not have been nicer. Everyone made us feel as though we were family they hadn't seen for quite a while and we had finally arrived at home. It was difficult to leave!

Paradise in the Desert!Posted Aug 25, 2014
Location: We loved being close to Cave Creek.
We stayed at the Boulders for six nights in August. Our casita was beautiful and the resort is quiet and peaceful! The grounds, pools and golf course are beautifully maintained. We can't say enough about the wonderful staff and the service we received. We will definitely be back.

Lovely retreatPosted Aug 24, 2014
Loved staying here. Very secluded and relaxing. Toilet paper was cheap, but everything else seemed very nice. You have to like walking to enjoy this because all of the rooms are dispersed in mini-casitas around the lodge as opposed to up an elevator flight.

Restful retreat for the weary business owner......Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: It's beauty, peace and all around lovely serene setting.
Cons: We arrived almost at midnight and were starved as we had not ate since noon. Perhaps asking guest if they have a food request at the time of rez.
We were looking for a place to "defrag" and have no real schedule to do anything! Boulders hit the mark! Although it is the most peaceful place I've ever stayed there is plenty to do if you so desire. This property is Perfect for reading that book you have been wanting to read either on your glorius porch with a view in the early morning hours or sitting by one of the 3 gorgeous pools all day long. Hiking in abundance into the amazing desert, world class golfing, 5 Star Spa, fabulous food all on propterty! Shopping & perusing artisans and craft shops in charming villages close by. One thing we would change is staying another week!!!

We had a wonderful experience from check in to check out! The resort setting is very unique and beautiful, staff is friendly and very attentive. We weren't overly impressed with the Spotted Donkey but the main restaurant was very good.
