Family function

When we arrived we were quite surprised to see how big the resort was,we were greeted with friendly hellos and given water to refresh ourselves Everything at the resort was clean and well taken care of Room was very nice and big My family lives in Arizona and they too will stay for family get togethers We are looking forward to going again thank you for the opportunity for having such a wonderful time

Litchfield Park is paradise.

Pros: Grounds. Old Litchfield Park.
Cons: Patio doors need a way for guests to enter without leaving the door open. A microwave would have been great. Electrical outlets or charging stations.
Location: Wildlife World Zoo, Westridge, Taps for a beer, Blue for sushi. Walk around neighborhood and lake. Unlimited activities within a short drive. Love LP.
We had a wonderful time in Old Litchfield Park. The Wigwam had beautiful grounds. The room itself was nice but had few outlets in the room and unless you propped open the patio door, you would be locked out. There was no slot to use your door key to access the pool so you had to walk around the building from your front door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and parking lot was very crowded with a lot of locals, which was dissappointing especially since guests had to pay the resort fees for amenities. This is a great place for families with small children. They had a lot of activities for them at the time that I visited.

Party Hotel

Cons: More parking spaces, longer hours for children's play pool area so we don't hear them in our pool.
Location: Shopping and restaurants
My husband and I decided to try this place to celebrate our 26th Wedding Anniversary. We had trouble finding a parking spot every night. There were drunks/party people everywhere which left their beer bottles on the railing for 2 days we were there. They were loud and swimming in the pool until midnight. We went across the street to eat; because the hotel restaurants were full which the rest of the hotel guest flooded this restaurant to. The poor manager had to find more help; because he didn't know the Wigwam sold out on rooms. We felt we were at a 2 star hotel than a 4 star resort. This hotel/resort needs more parking spots; especially when they sell out of rooms.

Nice getaway

Pros: Everything was there good food , golfing , excellent staff very accomodating . Grounds were well kept , pool area was excellent always had ice water.
Cons: Maybe better yard markage on golf course .
Location: Good location , find Pheonix easy to get around.
Weather nice , resort was more than we expected , easy to get around , close to restaurants , shopping.

not friendly

Pros: Clean and roomy. Good TVs
Cons: Parking distance from room.
Location: Good for golf, shopping center type restaurants close by.
I guess because of the rate for a suite, or because it was booked thru Expedia, the attitude was a little cool. My room wasn't ready at noon so I went out to play golf. It was too hot so I quit after nine holes. It's now 3:00 pm and my room still isn't ready. They said the suite wasn't guaranteed until 4:00. Rooms are clean and spacious but are a little dated. Asked for a late check-out and was declined.(who didn't know that) Oh I almost forgot, the parking for my suite was about 100 yards from the front door.

Charming and Pretty Resort!

Pros: The hotel staff were super helpful and friendly, and we got checked in as soon as we arrived. Beautiful kept grounds.
Cons: We were quite disappointed in the old carpeting in our room and the really bad peeling paint out on our deck. Upgrades are definitely needed.
Location: It was about a 25 minute drive from the airport and also near plenty of shopping and restaurants.
This was our very first time in Phoenix for a concert so we decided to stay for a week after coming across the Wigwam resort online. It was super hot in August. We are from Canada and are not used to 40 weather so the Oasis pool was great to spend our time in. The air conditioning in our room was really awesome as well.

Staff at this hotel were very accommodating. Service at the bar was very slow. Room upon arrival was not ready. Had to wait until after 3pm.

Our experience

Pros: The room were large and I liked the kitchen area.
Cons: Updated internet capability.
Location: Poor restaurants in the area. We tried several times and was dissatisfied. We found better restaurants in Peoria and Scottsdale.
The hotel served its purposes for our trip which was for business. I would not select this hotel for a vacation. The swimming area was for more of the partier type versus relaxation. There really weren't any good restaurants close by and the main restaurant at the hotel was closed on the days we wanted to go. The only option was to order off of the bar menu. The lack of updated internet capability in the rooms impacted our stay as well.

The Wigwam is a great resort hotel

Pros: Everything. The food was fabulous, the resort was quiet, the staff was helpful.
Location: Don't go to Phoenix in the summer. Most, if not all, the museums are closed in the summer. I can stand 108 degrees in the daytime, but they can't.
I stayed at the Wigwam July 4 - 9, 2014. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The resort has alot to offer the traveller, with 3 restaurants, 3 or 4 pools, and a day spa. Great experience. I had the best rack of lamb I've ever eaten at Litchfields. However, the resort is so big I kept getting lost.
