Convenient for usPosted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: Location, price, and amenities are right for us.
Location is close to Peoria Sports Complex, availability of complimentary cold beverages and snacks is very nice, and the room is comfortable. We have chosen this property multiple times. When there was a small problem with our room the staff addressed it quickly and without inconvenience for us.

Great place, Hidden gemPosted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Courteous staff, clean and quiet, reasonably priced.
Cons: Hope they don't raise the rates too high after people "discover" them!
Location: Very close to the Peoria Sports Complex
We had a very nice time. Pleasantly surprised with the snack room and amenities.

Cons: The outdoor swimming pool would have been wonderful to use if it had been heated.
The quiet atmosphere here was comparable to a retreat center. There were several choices available for quiet walks. The dining hall (commons) made it easy to get a quick, affordable meal. We enjoyed the choices available in the free snack area located above the lobby. The hotel room itself served our needs very well. This inn and conference center is also located close to many fine restaurants and shopping venues.

Conference Center?Posted Mar 30, 2015
I guess we didn't do enough research on the place because its a conference center that books out rooms as a hotel when they are not full of students. If you want a no-frills place to stay its ok. No patio to sit outside and enjoy the weather and relax. The pool was far away, hard to find, with no lounge chairs. It's a winding maze to find anything. Definitely is very old and reminds me if an old collage dorm type setting. The staff were very friendly and professional..

great repeat experiencePosted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: I could go on and on, but the staff was always super friendly, the laundry room was only $1. for washer and dryer each. Laundry soap was free.
Location: One of the best features to fitness minded travellers was the complimentary membership at the adjoining YMCA and its large and well equipped gym.
For the second year in a row we have stayed at the Thunderbird. The room was large and comfortable. The surrounding grounds were well maintained and groomed. The 24 hour breakfast/ snack/coffee room was always well stocked and available to enjoy a snack or some browsing time on the three computers. I especially enjoyed the complimentary bottled water and juices, and last but not least real half and half cream, all kept in a refrigerator in the coffee room.

Lack of a bathtub caused us to leave early (2 mites instead of4) because my wife needs a nice bath). Also the breakfast options were mediocre.

Quiet Area, Unexpected LocationPosted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Quiet neighborhood, nice use of space inside the room. Good desk area, very spacious bath and easy step in shower.
Cons: The shower water was a little hard to manage ....it was either too HOT or cold. It was a challenge to get the middle-ground.
Location: Between two major freeways, it's just an easy drive to it. Up the street from a corner that has many lunch eateries and grocery store.
Thunderbird Executive Inn is located within a university campus that has an interesting history. The lobby was so welcoming for the March Spring Training guests with little themed treats. The hotel was extremely quiet, nice areas to walk in the morning/evening and plenty of grassy area if you travel with young children. Rooms were very nice, the bathroom large, no tub but an oversize shower that would accommodate washing your children easily. Only con, the water temperature was extremely HOT...you had to be careful with that. Breakfast was a basic cereal/fruit/stocked drinks in the fridge. They have a policy of snack whenever you need to any hour of the day. We enjoyed our stay and would stay next baseball season again.
