“"3rd time we stayed at Painted Mountain"”
Nice hotel on the exterior but rooms need upgrading in the worst way. The bathrooms in the suite are awkwardly designed. Frankly the bathrooms have more wasted space and could be reduced in size/area and add more room to living area or to bedroom. This is our 3rd time staying here and we do because our son and his family live in Gilbert and the golf course and shopping are convenient. The grounds are well kept, the pool area is rather small, and especially in the spring/summer the area gets crowded quickly. The exercise room/shower facilities are very good. The staff are great and friendly!! We travel a lot and frankly the 10am checkout time is rather unheard of in the industry and inconvenient. Would we stay here again? A big YES!
“Good experience, but...”
When we arrived to check in, the front desk person told me that the room was not paid for yet. I thought this was strange since we booked through Expedia. The room we booked was supposed to have two double beds. When we got to our room, we found there was only one bed in a separate bedroom. We went back to the front desk to ask about it, and was told the couch folds out into a bed. I was not very happy about this. When asked if anything else was available with two beds, I was told it would be an additional $40/night and it would be at the other end of the hotel. This was a real issue since the rest of our party was located in the same building. We elected not to change, and stuck with the original room. When we went to check out, I asked about the charges. The clerk on duty said, "Since you booked with Expedia, everything has already been paid for". I asked that he may want to mention this to the other clerk. Overall, the hotel was probably one of the nicest I have seen. Staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and very well stocked (dishes, pans, washer/dryer, etc) which I was not expecting. The bathroom was HUGE with a jacuzzi tub. We would probably stay there again, but will be sure to confirm the number of actual beds needed (unless you don't mind a fold out couch).
“Very Nice for the Price”
I stayed in the studio and it was perfect. The jetted tub was used 10 times in 4 days. I'd go back just for the tub alone. Overall a very pretty and relaxing place.
“Disappointed”
Rooms facing the golf course would be preferred. Traffic noise on road our room faced made it impossible to even sit outside. Shower tiles were loose and mold on grout in the bathroom shower/tub. Blanket on the bed had stains on it. A modest room was fine for our purposes. Not having it clean is unacceptable.
“Definitely going back”
Painted Mountain Resort was excellent. The service was great/rooms were very clean/ The whirlpool tub was great realxing after working out at their fully equipped gym. Didnt get to the pool - The restaurant had a great lounge and entertainment. Definitely going back.
“Great place to stay in East Valley”
Wonderful location and staff, I try to stay here every time I return to Phoenix. Great rooms, great value.
“Would stay there again”

“nice place but in the middle of renovations”
This was a nice resort as far as the room. The rest was a OK. The front desk staff could have been better.
“Great Value for Family Use--Would Return!”
Really a well kept resort; excellent pool and hot tubs, grill areas, golf course access, nice staff, planned activities for kids. Rooms were spacious, clean, great tvs and sound systems. Housekeeping was there every day to replace linens and towels. ONLY somewhat negative for us was our rooms were along the main road and there was quite a bit of traffic noise. Request rooms off the main road (they exist)...but if you do end up in our room you get used to it. Would go back again---but that was the only thing!
“Don't go out of your way”
The location and grounds were very nice and well kept. The front desk staff both on check-in and check-out seemed slow and not enthusiastic to wait on us. The room for a suite was small and outdated. There are better choices to stay in Phoenix, or closer to the airport for the money.
