Close to all Downtown Phoenix activitiesPosted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Nice cocktail lounge, really good breakfast, big bathrooms with nice showers and water pressure, cozy beds. They also, have rooms allow dogs.
Cons: nothing, other than the parking situation.
Location: Many great places to eat, good bars, entertainment venues for concerts and shows, sports facilities (Suns and D-Backs)
Great facility, within walking distance to everything Downtown Phoenix has to offer. The rooms are spacious and clean, with views overlooking the Valley. The staff was very helpful. My only dislike, was the parking arrangements. They have no self parking available. This would be fine, if they were reasonable with the valet parking fees. They charge $28 a day to park your car. Once you tip the valet, it's over $35 bucks a day. That is way over the top of being reasonable.

Love the Westin in downtown PhoenixPosted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: The staff is accommodating and friendly. The hotel is well maintained and clean.
Cons: I would like to see soda and snack machines added to each floor. Those things can be purchased in the hotel shop, which requires a trip to the lobby.
I have stayed in The Westin - Downtown Phoenix four times and would stay there again. Unfortunately, a power outage was scheduled for 12/12 from 11:00pm-6:30am and then elevators were scheduled to be down from 1:00am-4:00am on 12/13, but I was aware of this before I made my trip. The Westin provided a flashlight for use in the hotel room, and I believe arrangements could be made for anyone who needed to have CPAP or other necessary equipment. The outage didn't effect me as it was during hours when I would be sleeping anyway.

Great location in downtown PhoenixPosted Dec 1, 2014
Excellent customer service, huge room. We were very happy with the staff and cleanliness of the room. We ordered room service one night and it was very timely. The outdoor patio area is amazing with the fire pit. The swimming pool is heated and clean. The view from the room was amazing. The staff were so nice and helpful with all if our needs.

Thanksgiving Day/Night stayPosted Nov 30, 2014
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Downtown location.
Cons: Can't really think of anything. Oh wait!!! $28.00 for overnight parking is absurd! No reason a guest should have to pay anywhere near that amount.
Location: We went to the Phoenix International Car Show which was just a few blocks from the Westin. Looks like there are lots of restaurants and bars to visit.
Right in the heart of downtown Phoenix but since it was a holiday not much was going on at the time. Very friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. We were given a room on the 18th floor, which is the top floor, so we had a great view of the city scape. We made the mistake of choosing to have Thanksgiving dinner at another large, well known hotel nearby rather than eating at the Westin. Still can't understand why that hotel chose to have blaring dance music playing while patrons were trying to enjoy their Thanksgiving meal!!! Should have eaten at the Westin. We walked to a nearby downtown movie theater for an evening show. Walking back to the Westin at 10pm, we noticed we were just about the only people, other than the street people, that were out and about. We would stay at the Westin again based on our experience but do keep in mind it is primarily a business persons hotel not a resort.

Very nice visit. Although, found a tiny used coffee grinder holder that was all burned up right next to the coffee machine. Slightly overlooked I assume. But overall had a great visit, amazing view and a great night's sleep!
