Quiet location but still close to everythingPosted Oct 12, 2014
The hotel premises and.pools are quite good but our building was the least attractive. I guess it's because we chose the cheapest room available. Very close to Jungceylon, the beach and bangla rd. Nice views from roof top pool

Considering the price I paid for my stay at Amata I enjoyed 5 times more than I paid . Awesome location, Fair and reasonable size room, fantastic swimming pool, Good breakfast, friendly staff in short I would like to stay here again. Got very good deal thanks to expedia.

Nice but problems with wifiPosted Sep 25, 2014
Overall, the stay was good, but they should delete from the overview of the hotel that wifi is easily accessible in all rooms. It was working so badly! We even couldn't use it in the lobby.

You get what you pay for!Posted Sep 21, 2014
We booked the Amata "resort" for our family holiday. It is not a resort but 3 buildings with a pool in between and a lane way running through. The staff at reception spoke barely any english but the porters spoke quite well so they were the ones to communicate with. The rooms in the new building are the nicest but the beds are hard as concrete and after a shower half the bathroom floor was flooded. The buffet breakfast was adequate but limited in variety. Location is good if you like to be in the middle of things, about 500m walk either way to Jungceylon, Bangla Road, Hard Rock Cafe and Otop Markets. This place is more for young people who only use their room to recover from the night before but would not recommend for a family holiday. The only thing I liked about this place is Dom the daytime security man, always with a smile on his face and didn't mind sitting down for a chat.

Very clean, close to shops, nightlife and beachPosted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Cleaniness, price....very good value, location
Cons: There were some minor maintenance issues, like a clogged bathroom drain, some walls in new building need painting, roof top pool area needs umbrellas,
Location: Close to beach, shops, restaurants and nightlife.....all within lazy 10 min walk
Great value, hotel was very clean, staff very good, especially Raj on front desk, good wi fi, roof top pool afforded you good views of Patong, however, pool closes at 1800.....should stay open til later, like 2100.....ground floor pool open to 2000......I would recommend this hotel
