Great position to all major attractions.Posted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Position and helpful staff. Price at this time of year was also very good.
Cons: Softer beds. I have a damaged spine.
Location: Advised in previous comments.
Can walk to all attractions within the area. Staff were excellent and accommadating and helpful. Language was not a problem. Ask them for something that you would like to do and they can suggest mutiple venues to meet your needs. No problems with this place. Only one small winge, the beds in our appartment were a bit hard.

Great location for a great pricePosted Jul 14, 2014
This was my second time in Phuket and I decided to stay at this hotel and not the one I stayed at last year. The main reason was the location, this hotel is very close to the main street where everything is happening, but at the same time is quiet and private enough that you won't feel uncomfortable by all the action in the street. The hotel staff was always eager and happy to help out. To get to the hotel you have to walk down a short driveway. So most people walking up and down the driveway our hotel guests and there was always a security person watching the driveway. From this hotel to the beach is only about 5-10 minute walk (depending how fast you walk). But the considering that we stayed at a beachfront hotel last year and were at the beach only a few times for a short time and all the other time had to walk the same amount of time back to the main street where everything is happening (nightlife, shopping, and eating) we decided that we might as well have stayed closer to that street. If you stay at this hotel make sure you get a room with a Poolview. The breakfast was okay, enough to hold us over until we found different places to eat. There's two pools at this hotel one of them is on top of the hotel with amazing views. You can stay at a beachfront hotel but I guarantee you that you will spend more time on the street where the hotel is located. The Wi-Fi in the rooms is not the best but good enough to check emails and post on your social sites.

Excellent Location - Value for MoneyPosted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: Location - Value for money - Friendly Staff
Our stay at the Amata more than met our needs during our 3 week visit. Location was excellent for us, close enough to walk to beach, shopping centres, restaurants etc., but tucked away & quiet during the day & evening. Our deluxe rooms with pool view were large, clean & comfortable. The staff were excellent, always courteous & friendly - all our requests were handled promptly and nothing was a problem.
