A sweet surprise in the center of it all.
What a great place to stay. Almost centrally located to everything you want to be near. Shopping, restaurants, tours, the beach!!!, and street vendors are so close by. The manager Skandar was exceptionally nice and helpful. All his suggestions and tips were spot on for us. I think he went out of his way to make sure our stay was the best in Phuket. He even booked flights for us to trek off to Bangkok a few days. When I come back to Patong, which I will, I will stay at the Andatel every time. The whole staff was so pleasant and very polite so you feel at home with them. That pool after a long day is so refreshing, wish it were open all night for late night dips in the cool water. Patong is humid you know! Love this place!

I just finished a week at Andatel and it was wonderful. Great and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. The security is top notch. I felt very comfortable and will definitely stay again. Rest assured it is exactly as advertised, even the pictures.

You pay for what you get. Pool was nice. A few maintenance issues e.g door lock loose and leaking shower. Overall not a bad experience.

Wouldn't stay at this hotel again
Whilst the pictures look great the hotel is best discribed as an outdated hotel that is poorly designed and maintained. The reception/restraunt area is dull and non functional, with 4 small fans in a large area. There is no way of not getting wet between the reception area and the rooms. WIFI not working most of the time and when working very slow in that get timeouts, which didn't occur across the road at Kens Resturant. No "do not distrube" signs available, door bell not working. House keeping start at 08.30 am and knock loudly on each door yelling "house keeping" numerious times for every room. In addition house keeping carry radios which sound like the volume is on maximum. Water supply to room on 5th floor by pump. Every 10 seconds presure decreases and when increases again get scolding water followed by cold water before returning to desired temp. Pool between buildings gets no sun at all so consequently water is very cold. Better off at the beach. If you are after a comfortable stay at a hotel then suggest you don't stay at this hotel.

- Front desk was very unpleasant. - The pillows & bed sheets had horrible smell as if they have not been washed. - Shower did not work properly. - WiFi was very slow. - Elevator was out of service and almost fell taking my luggage down the stairs.

Hotel is within walking distance to everything. Hotel Hallway,the room and bathroom is on the dark side. Higher wattage lightbulbs would really help. Otherwise l really like the two swimming pools.

I requested for change of pillows as they are smelly. Staff are friendly and had them changed, but the changed ones are still smelly. In the end I didn't sleep well.

This is not a 4* hotel, ive stayed in a lot nicer hostels than this. The room was poorly lit and in need of some work to bring it up to date. The wifi was poor and the tv non existent. I know i didnt come to thailand for wifi and tv but as its raining thats what i was looking for. The room was cheap but everything about it was also but should not be advertised as 4* the staff were very nice but i ended up leaving and finding another hotel.

Nice hotel
Have just spent ten days at the Andatel,I read the reviews before going and was sceptical but after going there was pleased I couldn't see what others were not happy with. Check in was easy,staff were friendly,pools were good tuk tuks out the front to go anywhere 7-11 close by rooms clean and tidy, needed to do late check out no problem for small fee Only drawback no shower curtains to keep water off bathroom floor really think management should install them

Great hotel in Patong in proximity to everything
This hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to bangla road but far enough that you hear no noise. It isnt a 5 star but for the price you pay its definitely a bargain. Room size is great and the rooms are clean...yes there is wear and tear but trust me the rooms are definitely cleaned well. That being said my friends room had problems with the toilet flushing the entire time she was checked in (but in Patong you cant flush toilet paper down the toilet because the sewage system blocks up and she kept doing this despite housekeeping fixing the toilet and telling her she shouldnt) There was also one day when housekeeping didnt clean properly but this was recitified. Some reviews say they have had rooms with a damp smell...to be honest thats Patong for you..the sewage system is horrible so its hit and miss depending on the day. We were lucky to not have this issue at Andatel on both occasions we have stayed (we orginally stayed two nights then came back again after a week or so and stayed 5 nights). The staff are lovely...smile and be nice to them as there is a language barrier but they are always willing to help. Room service is quick but basic and the breakfast isnt anything special. We opted to get a room without breakfast the second time. Pool is nice...perfect temperature! Honestly speaking I'll book here again..for the price it costs compared to other places in Patong its bang for your buck.

Don't be impressed by pictures!
Hotel is not according to its description and pictures. So disappointing, room is not clean when we arrived had to call front desk to clean up. Reception staff is grumpy.

Close to Beachfront.
Older hotel, needs some renovating. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts, while not a lot of choice were always fresh and the egg station was great. The pool access room was very nice.

I emailed Expedia about the hotel but no responses... promising. Anyways, hotel was a 1/5.. shower was terrible, shower head was broken, water goes from freezing to scalding as it pleases. Breakfast was literally disgusting. Mayonnaise was kept outside in the heat for hours. Location was terrible, it was too far from everything. Stay away from this hotel.

Would not recommend!
Location is ok. We had a king pool side room. The lock on the outside door was dodgy, stepping out to the pool on slippery tiles with no outdoor mat. Room cleanliness is digusting. My husband is 6ft and the bed was barely long enough for him to lie straight. The bathroom was covered in mould, the sink in the bathroom was barely hanging by a thread and there was no shower curtain for the shower, therefore water ended up everywhere, every time. The water temperature ranged from scalding hot - after taking around 10 minutes to heat up, to freezing cold - nowhere in between. We didn't even dare to visit the breakfast buffet which was included in our room price as we ventured past the kitchen often enough not to even risk it!
