Decent stay

Everything about the hotel is great except for the massive hill you need to walk everyday to get into the main streets of patong.

Needs improvement

Posted Jan 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Daily breakfasts were too cold. Air Conditioner didn't work properly for 2 nights causing uncomfortable sleeps. Cleaning staff knocked on door while 'Do not disturb' sign was on. A particular staff member was rude. Staff allowed young children making noise and disturbing guests to continue at 4am, caused a lot of frustration with others as well. The main ingredient for the 'Cocktail of the month' was not available. On the other hand, Courtesy bus was great with 2 drop off points. Pool staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make guests happy. Amenities were sufficient. WiFi was good with sufficient coverage and speeds.

Decent hotel, can be better with some fixes

Posted Jan 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is quite close to patong beach, the room is quite large and well done. The pools are nice, though a little plain. Overall a decent property but can be better with some attention to the following details: 1. Breakfast is a bit of let down, definite room for improvement. 2. No shower curtain with bath tub, and the leveling of the edges allows water to accumulate and flow down at the sides, making it a wet bathroom. 3. The approach to the hotel, which is on a hill is daunting for walking up/down. A shuttle service up down would be great. 4. The shuttles to patong are a great addition though they didn't adhere to timings always. 5. The wifi is advertised as free, which it is...but works only in lobby, please tell that up front at booking stage.

lovely :)

Lovely hotel, friendly enough, had a couple of language barriers but no more than you expect anywhere in Thailand. Room was nice and relatively well cleaned but the bed was pretty hard/springy and uncomfortable, tho I hear now I could have asked for a pillowtop to be put on. The main worry is the steep hill to get up to the hotel. Which is fine if you are fit and well but if you are elderly or unfit and had planned on a leisurely stroll in to Bangalor rd this is probably not your best bet. Mind you they do run a free shuttle 6 or 7 times a day that goes to patong beach and jungceylon shopping centre which are about every hour with a few exceptions which is good. We had no problem with the hill and found it good daily exercise. Overall a good stay, good brekky range and lovely pool!

staff frirndly at times and very unfriendly at other times. located on a cliff very difficult to climb by walk. but they have shuttle at regular interval. if planning to travel by bus to bagkok, the booking center is just half a km away (no need to take a cab and go to bus station)

not given wat was promised

We reached there and were given the most dreadful room even when they jad same category room empty. Wifi was not given as promised. Will not recommend at all. Someone cracked the windscreen of the car which I had hired and the hotel was not ready to share with us the cctv footage of the parking lot.

Baan Yuree, Thailand

Pros: The pool
Cons: The beds
Location: Up a very steep hill
The staff at the hotel were very nice, the pool was awesome. The beds in the hotel are the most uncomfortable I have ever had, it was like sleeping on springs, that was all you could feel. Position wise, being at the top of a very steep hill is awkward for older people, it was a very slow walk down and impossible to walk up, a lot of money was spent on taxi's to return each day, especially if you went out for lunch and dinner. I would not recommend this hotel to friends.

GOING BACK TO BAAN YUREE

Posted Mar 13, 2013
From as soon as stepping foot into the lobby the staff were always welcoming no matter where we were within the resort, coming, going or exploring. The breakfast buffet was more than superb and the rooms were cleaned perfectly every day while we were out. The tour help and Pamper Spa were all great

true value for money in relaxed atmosphere

Posted Mar 10, 2013
Pros: Quiet comfort
Cons: The dreaded hill in the heat to access entrance, but discounted accordingly.
Location: Monster hill to access hotel, beach a distant trek
Overall extremely good value. Unfortunately poor access to the beach which is inconvenient and means money on taxis. Staff very very friendly and on the ball. POOL nlce and clean. I have traveled to Thailand many times-this hotel is not perfect but excellent value for money and no dud rip offs.
