Pros: The staff and the serene and lush green environs and the swimming pool channels adjoining the villas directly.
Location: Calm and quiet location nor far from all of the action of Kata Beach
A really wonderful resort that deserves all of the plaudits it receives. One of the best resorts I have stayed at ever.

Fantastic resort - especially for familiesPosted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: - Spacious - Private pool is a great feature for families (pool side rooms are not bad either) - Great buffet breakfast
Cons: - Hotel restaurant does not offer water at dinner - you have to pay for bottled water (although there's absolutely no need to eat at the hotel)!
Location: Close to Karon beach (10min walk), lots of decent restaurants (Russian, Italian, Thai, Subway, etc), mini-marts, liquor stores close by
This is a fantastic resort! We stayed at the private pool villa and the got a deal on Expedia with 35% off the regular rate plus free breakfast and soft drinks refilled daily. The villa is big so lots of room for a family of four. The private pool is a saving grace for families with young kids with jetlag travelling from far. It was also an easy way for them to cool off during the hot day any time and the adults can chill at the pool side drinking beer and hanging out. Love the outdoor shower - we never end up using the one in the bathroom. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is fantastic - close enough to the beach and yet quiet enough to be away from the traffic. Two great restaurants are just at the end of the street and the hotel even has golf cart service to drive you there. Overall I am very happy that we found this hotel from TripAdvisor.

Close to Kata Beach. High privacy. Nice pool.Posted Mar 12, 2015
I and my girlfriend booked the room with a private jacuzzi pool for our pre-honeymoon. The room was in nice size with a giant bathroom and a private garden. We had the opportunity to make good use (^_* !!) of the big daybed, the king size bed, the luxury bathtub, the spacious shower and the private pool. Not only we had endless fun in the suite, but also we had a very romantic adventure in the nicely layout public swimming pool. We stayed for 2 nights only but we went to the pool for 3 times. It gives you a different experience during different time of the day. We high recommend this hotel if you are on your honeymoon! The suites and facilities in this hotel is considered a bit old but well-maintained and clean. Somehow we enjoy the washed-out look of the hotel. The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast. It is absolutely below average compared to other hotels of same level and price range.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Kata BeachPosted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: Everything!! Ideal for couples and families
Cons: Nothing of any significance.
Location: Center of Kata and close to beach, restaurants and bars.
Just returned from a fabulous 10 night stay at the Metadee Resort. The hotel is set within beautiful tropical gardens and although in the heart of Kata was very peaceful. From the moment we arrived we new we had come to a great hotel in a wonderful location. Completely out of the blue at breakfast on my wife's birthday she received a beautiful cake accompanied by birthday wishes sung by members of the team. Its a relatively small hotel so you get to know the staff and they you also. We are going back next year!!

Fantastic resort with great pool & friendly staff.Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Everything. It's set back far enough inland to be peaceful at night yet close enough to get to were you want to go.
Cons: Bamboo clothes dryer on the balcony, great to have BTW, was a little top heavy when towels were on it to dry and blew over a few times. Small whinge.
Location: Close to beach, shops and restaurants. Cafe Opera, a few minutes walk, had been recommended to us by friends and we loved it! Great food & atmosphere.
My wife and I stayed there for 3 nights to relax after spending 10 days in busy Patong back in mid November 2014. Loved it! Freindly and helpful staff, large clean room with balcony (ours faced the mountainside where the 'big buddha' is. The pool was great. It's a massive, long pool that runs past each room. Each guest 'building' has 4 rooms, and the 2 at the bottom of each, have direct pool access. Even if you're in an upstairs room, it's a very short walk to access the pool. The breakfasts were yummy, had everything you would find at a decent breakfast buffet (and it had bacon!!). The beach is about 10 minutes walk but as we had just come from Patong and being at the beach each day, we were happy to lounge around the pool for the time we were there. Closer than the beach were plenty of dining options for all budgets and tastes.

Close to the beach with private access to poolPosted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: Private access to the pool and breakfast.
Cons: Signage from the main street. The entrance is easy to miss from the very busy street.
Location: Don't expect complete a completely authentic Thai culture; the Kata beach area is a busy resort tourist trap (albeit pleasant and still fun).
Fantastic setup with large pool with private access from the back porch. Although a 10-15 minute walk from the main strip, a quick shuttle service is always available. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is excellent.
