Close to the beach but far from the town. (1 km)

Very nice hotel, the best amentity of the resort is the pools. Great promity to the beach, which means you can swim right in the ocean which is also super close. The worst amenity is probably the gym, super dated and is in need of a renovation. front desk staff were great, they posses a good command of the English language , better then most of the locals. If you want to stay closer to town stay at the sister hotel novotel the phuket village. Its about 15 minutes walk closer to bangla road. Also its not situated on a super steep hill. However I assume it will also lack the ocean view. Hotel taxi to airport is real expensive. 9990 THB where a private cab is 700-800 THB

Very steep with lots and lots of stairs.

Pros: Location
Cons: Beds - very very hard. Beauty spa not up to standard - better one at the bottom of the hotel on main road
Location: Good location - walk or tuk tuk to the heart of Patong but liked it as it wasn't in the centre of everything
Too many stairs - no ramps and few lifts - good location and excellent views. Breakfast buffet OK but nothing special. Pool service not very good.

Nice hotel with nice view

Nice hotel with nice and pleasant staff, very helpful and willing to resolve ur problems. But be careful when u hire a taxi from airport and some travel agents, they like to cheat people. Better go through Novotel for airport transfer and site seeing and move around.yes being on hillside, think before u book this hotel if u Hv small kids or elders with u. However hotel staff will help u by providing transport internally also.

Pros: The Swimming Pool was amazing and great too relax after a big day of shopping. They have a great variety of food to order without moving and affordable
Cons: The Resort has everything I cannot find anything that has to be Improved.
Location: Shops are close by,try the seafood restaurant across the road the food is amazing and very affordable.
The Hotel was beautiful, staff were very friendly and helpful. The Resort offers a free bus shuttle to the shopping centre and they also pick up you up from the shopping centre and drop you off to the resort once you have finished from shopping.Close to the shops and restaurants close by.

Most UnComfy Beds!!

Posted Jun 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week to celebrate her birthday. I book a twin bed room only to find that they had put two single mattresses on one bed base. We asked for a room with twin beds and the staff were happy to comply. Unfortunately the beds themselves were the hardest I have ever slept on. I much prefer to sleep on a hard mattress, but these were just ridiculous with no give in them at all. When we complained we were advised that all the mattresses were the same quality but they put mattress toppers to "soften them" for us. No discernible difference and when we discussed this issue with other guests we were told that they also found the beds extraordinarily hard. Then we come to the issue of the air conditioning unit which badly needed replacing. It was so noisy that even at the lowest fan speed possible it kept us awake all night. While the staff were as helpful as they could be, I was very unhappy with my stay at the Novotel due solely to the fact I had NO sleep for a week! I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

Pros: The friendly staff, location and facilities.
Cons: Some of the decor of the room was looking tired and the bed linens were wearing thin.
Location: Set high on a hill, but there is a shuttle service from the road up to reception. Quiet location, with hotel bus service into town.
Returned for a four day visit. Last here two years ago. The staff had made the connection that we had stayed before and gave us a complimentary basket of fruit for the room. Bathrooms had been updated since out last visit, the bath had been replaced with a walk in shower with a view into the main part of the room, although there was a blind that could be pulled down for more privacy. We had an ocean view room a short walk from reception, very quiet, no road noise. Huge bed with robes and slippers provided. The room has a small fridge, with space to put extra drinks in, tea and coffee facilities and two complimentary bottles of water a day. We had a package with breakfast and wifi included. Wifi a bit flaky, especially in stormy weather, and an occasional power cut, again during a storm, but it was quickly restored. Wide variety of food available at breakfast, something for most nationalities. I tried the batik painting one day and on another we did a Thai cooking course, lots of activities for everyone and there is a spa on site, which although we didn't try other guests did, and they were pleased with the service, I would visit this hotel again.
