Quiet, off the beaten track accommodation

Posted Mar 8, 2015
Despite the uphill walk away from the busy commercial centre of Karon, the rewards are worthwhile. The noise of the buzzy mopeds ebbs away and the temperature drops a notch or two. There is often a nice breeze as well, so location for us was preferable. The staff have all worked there for many years and are cheerful and helpful, and affectionately remember repeat visitors, of which there are many. The rooms are not those of an urban 5* but are large, clean, well appointed and the mattresses are PERFECT. (American King sized) Towels & sheets changed daily. Free room service too! Each room has a hairdryer, cable TV, and a small kitchenette with kettle, and fridge-freezer. WiFi was good in all areas, including the bedrooms. Pool towels available, but also beach towels which can be collected from reception. Oh....and the breakfasts are really good, with an egg station for any type you like, including Eggs Benedict. Asian options also available. In summary, a home from home, cosy type of independent hotel. We are more than happy to recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Nice hotel

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: It was not too big that it had a ton of guests staying there causing many problems you get at larger hotels.
Cons: They included breakfast with your room which they gave you vouchers for. Unfortunately they closed the breakfast at 10:30 am.
Location: Karon is a nicer place to stay because it is quieter than the Patong area
This hotel was nice. It was simple and they did not hound you like many hotel staff do. You could have visitors without any problems. Having a fridge was nice since you could buy local alcohol and food and have a place to store it. They did provide a microwave and a hotplate which was nice if you wanted to heat up food. The hotel was just out of the way enough that you did not hear noise all night from the busy street life or partying going on. They included breakfast with the room. They provided vouchers for the breakfast but if you did not get there by 10:30 am you did not get the meal. Some nights I did not get home until 6 am and missed the breakfast. The only draw back to the hotel is that it is located on a hill and I did get tires of walking to it three or four times a day. If that is the only complaint I have then I can say that it was well worth the stay

Convenient location.

Lovely hotel, lots of character. Plenty of room for a couple except the bathroom is a wee bit small, but the shower was wonderful. We had to walk about ten minutes to either the beach or the night markets...not a problem at all. We would happily recommend this hotel.

Decent hotel in Karon Beach area

Posted Jan 7, 2015 on Hotels.com
The good: Location of the hotel is very good. Walking distance to the market and many restaurants and bars. The beach is a bit of a treck, but still doable if not too hot out. The staff are friendly and efficient. The rooftop pool is absolutely beautiful and I'm sure has one of the best views in the area. We also got foot massages and I opted for a pedicure. The pedicure was awful (nail polish came off within a day) and was badly done, but the foot massages were very nice (and we've had many in Thailand). The staff there is very nice, especially Lily. The bad: the food in the restaurant is not very good. We had lunch there (Thai food) once and vowed not to eat another meal, other than the BF buffet which came with our room. The BF buffet was decent. The rooms are a bit tired looking and dated, but clean and have plenty of closet space. It is a bit of a steep hike to get up to the resort (if walking), especially if it is hot out and definitely if you have any mobility issues. Overall, decent resort for a short stay. Take advantage of the pool and plan your beach trip well as you cannot run back to the hotel easily. If you can get a view of the beach on the higher floor, you can really enjoy the time in your room. Price is reasonable, especially given the time of year we were there (Christmas holidays).

2 night stay

Nice room with small balcony, most have large ones though. Lovely pool on rooftop. 5-10 mins walk to centre and beach. If I had one minor criticism it would be that the room did smell a little damp, but nothing major.

初めて行く場所で、ドキドキしながらでしたが、フロントの人も優しく安心しました。 部屋も快適でエアコンは、日本メーカでした。
