Beautiful beach and quiet neighborhood

Posted Jul 23, 2014
The resort is so beautiful, and the staff was so nice to us during our stay. We did enjoy the beautiful and clean beach. However, it is just somewhat inconvenient because it's far from the town.

Beautiful resort for couples and family

Posted Jul 21, 2014
This was an amazing resort and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was prepared safely and had a variety of options. Breakfast was a winner! Lots of activities to keep us occupied peppered with a few trips to patong and the surrounding area. This hotel is isolated but that was a great perk and being on the other side of the island to patong the water is flat in this secluded bay. Patong during offseason can be very rough but this place was quite and tranquil. If you need to save a bit of cash then just across the road is a restaurant, minimart, massage and tour/taxi area which is always significantly cheaper than the hotel. The staff were so great with a special thanks to Bee who was exceptional.

Great place to 'wind down' away from the crowds

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Recommend the 'buffet breakfast included' deal.......great coffee! Friendly staff. Really tasteful decor in the rooms and reception. No beach hawkers
Location: No nearby shops of note in walking distance. Recommend the little restaurant beside the ' Fiji Palms guest house down near the Port.
Beach front resort is in Makham Bay(south east side of island) which although tidal, is a welcome tranquillity away from the west side of the main resort beaches which we found was prone to strong prevailing winds. Is close to old Phuket town and very close to Port of Phuket, from which boat tours to the Phi Phi and other islands depart. Facilities are excellent and cannot be faulted. Paddle boards and kayaks are available at cheap rates, Great swimming pools. We found this resort to be a great base from which we could explore the whole island in our rental vehicle so for our 9 day stay, we hired a car for 5 days. Driving is ok and good fun for the confident driver. however we recommend getting a taxi shuttle to and from the airport especially if you have not been to Phuket before as the hotel is a hour's drive away in the opposite corner of the island.

A truly beautiful place to relax

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Beautiful surrounds.
Cons: A facility to exchange at least small amounts of foreign currency into baht at a reasonable rate would have been helpful.
Location: A little far away from some of the activities we chose to do. The little shopping centre over the road was helpful.
Really enjoyed staying in such a beautifully appointed and landscaped hotel. Staff were friendly and always willing to be helpful. Rooms were clean, neat and spacious. Only small drawback was that the hotel seemed to be quite a distance from some of the tourist attractions, necessitating some fairly long van trips. An excellent and well-priced hotel.

Exceptional quiet and comfy hotel.

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The quality of the in room dining was great, personally. The food quality is there. Spacious toilet, comfy bed.
Cons: More foreign drama channels on TV, food in fridge, clean then pool more regularly. Music in the main corridors. More gym equipments. More shuttlebuses
Location: Is quite remote, suggest you stock up food. There a local restaurant Opp. Need a taxi, anywhere you go. There's in house free water sports to do.
Phuket Panwa beachfront hotel, used to be known as crowne plaza. So it have actually inherited a lot of the good genes, yet following through the former's path, so it's really unexpected to see such a level of hotel, in the more remote area of Phuket. Beach view is great, just that the sand on the beach is not the typical kind of fine sand and all that you've imagined. As it was a lull season, not much tourists was coming, that's in end of June to beginning july. It was quite quiet. Sometimes, you've the whole pool to yourselves.

Everything was great! Staff has been very helpful and friendly. The only improvement the hotel needs is having hot a water for shower.

A last minute break that surpassed expectation

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: The overall feel of superb facilities, great food and excellent staff.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: I liked Phuket town best, with live music bars and the locals, who I found to be very friendly. I did not go on any trips, so cannot comment there.
I stayed for 12 days in June, which is a quiet period in Thailand. On arrival I was met by very friendly staff in a lobby that told me I had picked well immediately. The room was superb, with a large very comfortable bed, TV with news and movie channels; well the best I can say it is 5 star all the way, which I had not known when booking via a poor internet connection on a ship. Everything was great, which was only further enhanced by the friendly nature of the staff - all of them! They knew me by name very quickly, which makes a world of difference. the facilities are superb, the pools were quiet so there was no problem getting settled. The menu included both Thai and European dishes, whilst even room service at 3am maintained high standards after a night out. I found no fault whatsoever, I just enjoyed it and made some new friends.

Everything you ever wanted in a resort

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: The wonderful, attentive staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. Gym equipment was new, happy hour rates good, buffet breakfast amazing.
Cons: The gym could do with a rowing machine, otherwise all my boxes were ticked.
Location: This resort is a place to chill, away from surf beaches and shops. Taxis and shuttle buses can take you to these things about 30 minutes away.
Panwa Beach Resort is a physically beautiful place. The two pools are clean and large. The views are picturesque. The reception area and common areas have a spacious, relaxed feel and the staff are just lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. Any request is dealt with promptly with grace and charm. We were really sad to have to leave. My wife cried a little.

If you want some quiet time this is a great place.

It's my first time to phuket and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Phuket Panwa Beachfront Resort. If u are looking for a quiet place this is a great place. As I did not plan to do any city tour etc so this is perfect for me and my husband. Tho the beach is not really swimable coz it very swallow but the pools are great. I stayed at the loft suite so we had our pool just outside our balcony. Food at the restaurants are great and the staff are all so friendly. I would go back again.

Friendly staff at this resort hotel

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Helpful staff; restaurant very good.
Cons: Air conditioning seemed a bit damp. Would be good if they had frequent shuttle service to Phuket town and to the airport.
An enjoyable 3-night stay; nice facilities; friendly staff; very good Thai massage; beach and water pretty good at high tide.
