Simply brilliant

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Location was far south, required taxi journeys. Perhaps the hotel could try lay on some sort of service to phuket town.
Location: Phuket town nearby, a great town to experience what the locals get up to. Old town is the best.
Very good hotel, very good staff. Brilliant for a relaxing break. Outstanding natural beach, complete with fantastic marine wildlife. Good opportunities for Kayaking.

Beautiful beachfront hotel but far from town.

Posted Aug 10, 2014
My wife and I spent 5 nights here in our first visit to Phuket. The hotel is beautifully set up with magnificent views and great attention to detail. For the purposes of quiet relaxation we could not have asked for more with comfortable rooms, beachfront pools, restaurant/ bar and recliners. However the remote location is quite a drawback as the only transportation available to any other parts of phuket is unmetered taxis that are relatively pricey. This makes it difficult to get out and explore and limits checking out more affordable food and services (hotel offerings cost at least double). I'd recommend the hotel set up a regular shuttle service to popular destinations to address this. Pros: quality accommodation, private beach, excellent service, good facilities. Cons: remote location, expensive hotel food and services.

Quiet side of Phuket

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Quality, boutique style resort with excellent, friendly and helpful staff on the beach of a secluded bay. Gorgeous pool areas that are spotless.
Cons: Service in the restaurants could be improved but this is more about their technical ability not their willingness to assist and serve.
Location: Phuket Panwa Beachfront Resort is on the quiet side of the island with access to good golf courses but there is little to do in Phuket town.
We stayed for a long weekend break over 4 nights and found the location and the resort relaxing and easy going. It is close to Phuket Town and ok for a day trip over to the wild side. The food in the resort restaurants is at a good standard and the breakfast is excellent. We would recommend Phuket Panwa Beachfront Resort for mature couples, honeymooners and families with very young kids. It is no Club Med so I would not bring teenagers. The outlook from the sea view rooms is quite stunning and you enjoy a stimulating sunrise. Keep the curtains closed if you are not an early riser. The current value is outstanding when booking in the off season via Expedia. It is a good base for golfers too as several clubs are within 20 minutes drive.

Very peaceful and away from the hustle & bustle

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: It was very peaceful, the gardens lovely and the rooms were very nice and clean, and well appointed. The Spa was great and so were the cocktails!
Cons: I think there needs to be more water sports. Also there should be buses arranged to take people places like the Big Buddha, shopping centres, Kata.
Location: The boat tour from nearby Panwa Port was good; other than that there really isn't alot outside the hotel
It was just right for me and my family because it was peaceful & away from the main tourist areas. However this meant we had to get taxis to go sightseeing etc. which was a bit expensive. I was also disappointed that some of the water sports advertised on the website were not available (eg. Windsurfing). The staff were friendly but some of them did not have a level of English which one normally finds in an international hotel.

Beautiful beach and quiet neighborhood

Posted Jul 23, 2014
The resort is so beautiful, and the staff was so nice to us during our stay. We did enjoy the beautiful and clean beach. However, it is just somewhat inconvenient because it's far from the town.

Beautiful resort for couples and family

Posted Jul 21, 2014
This was an amazing resort and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was prepared safely and had a variety of options. Breakfast was a winner! Lots of activities to keep us occupied peppered with a few trips to patong and the surrounding area. This hotel is isolated but that was a great perk and being on the other side of the island to patong the water is flat in this secluded bay. Patong during offseason can be very rough but this place was quite and tranquil. If you need to save a bit of cash then just across the road is a restaurant, minimart, massage and tour/taxi area which is always significantly cheaper than the hotel. The staff were so great with a special thanks to Bee who was exceptional.

Great place to 'wind down' away from the crowds

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Recommend the 'buffet breakfast included' deal.......great coffee! Friendly staff. Really tasteful decor in the rooms and reception. No beach hawkers
Location: No nearby shops of note in walking distance. Recommend the little restaurant beside the ' Fiji Palms guest house down near the Port.
Beach front resort is in Makham Bay(south east side of island) which although tidal, is a welcome tranquillity away from the west side of the main resort beaches which we found was prone to strong prevailing winds. Is close to old Phuket town and very close to Port of Phuket, from which boat tours to the Phi Phi and other islands depart. Facilities are excellent and cannot be faulted. Paddle boards and kayaks are available at cheap rates, Great swimming pools. We found this resort to be a great base from which we could explore the whole island in our rental vehicle so for our 9 day stay, we hired a car for 5 days. Driving is ok and good fun for the confident driver. however we recommend getting a taxi shuttle to and from the airport especially if you have not been to Phuket before as the hotel is a hour's drive away in the opposite corner of the island.

A truly beautiful place to relax

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Beautiful surrounds.
Cons: A facility to exchange at least small amounts of foreign currency into baht at a reasonable rate would have been helpful.
Location: A little far away from some of the activities we chose to do. The little shopping centre over the road was helpful.
Really enjoyed staying in such a beautifully appointed and landscaped hotel. Staff were friendly and always willing to be helpful. Rooms were clean, neat and spacious. Only small drawback was that the hotel seemed to be quite a distance from some of the tourist attractions, necessitating some fairly long van trips. An excellent and well-priced hotel.

Exceptional quiet and comfy hotel.

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The quality of the in room dining was great, personally. The food quality is there. Spacious toilet, comfy bed.
Cons: More foreign drama channels on TV, food in fridge, clean then pool more regularly. Music in the main corridors. More gym equipments. More shuttlebuses
Location: Is quite remote, suggest you stock up food. There a local restaurant Opp. Need a taxi, anywhere you go. There's in house free water sports to do.
Phuket Panwa beachfront hotel, used to be known as crowne plaza. So it have actually inherited a lot of the good genes, yet following through the former's path, so it's really unexpected to see such a level of hotel, in the more remote area of Phuket. Beach view is great, just that the sand on the beach is not the typical kind of fine sand and all that you've imagined. As it was a lull season, not much tourists was coming, that's in end of June to beginning july. It was quite quiet. Sometimes, you've the whole pool to yourselves.
