Very nice property.. beach access was a big advantage. Awesome spa. Very polite and helpful staff. Kids pool was a perfect spot to let kids have a good time in the shade.

I loved our stay. The hotel is very convinient, rooms are fantastic. Very clean. The gym is the best I have seen and very unique for the hotel. Starbucks with protein shakes is unexpected and very great addition. The territory is cozy, which makes hotel stay pleasant. Only is the food is Ok, Sand restaurant has much to offer but the taste is average, would be great to improve it :) Overall I will definitely recommend the property and will back myself! Love it ☺️

We stayed in this hotel for only two days as a family they are only advertising the villas so don’t trust what you see. Please see the pictures for more reality if you do not mind hearing a rooster every five minutes then this is the perfect place for you, but most importantly, if you’re OK with mold in your bathroom and dirty room and this is definitely the perfect place for your vacation. It was a very tough experience for my daughter who is three-year-old as she woke up with and bites everywhere inside of her crib or you can call it playpen because they don’t give you a crib.. we originally booked a full week but I had to fight with Expedia and the hotel to get reimbursed because originally they refused to reimburse me even with all the ant bites on my daughter. I complained earlier in the morning about the ant bites, and then they came and cleaned. Then on the day I had to call them again for the same problem after my daughter’s afternoon nap, and more bites. OK and the food was somewhat OK as well. Definitely not worth more than $200 a day including everything.

The property itself was everything you’d expect from Marriott. However, there was a chicken and rooster habitat just beyond a wire fence about 20ft from our room’s front door. The rooster’s concept of time was just as screwed up as ours with their faint crowing. When we first arrived there was a very strong urine smell that we determined was coming from the rug under the bed. Once we notified the front desk, they immediately came and, per our request, removed the rug entirely. The staff was very friendly and took care of it very quickly. Once settled in, we took a nap and called the front to see if we could get some coffee delivered to us because it was 5 am before their breakfast opened. However, we were sorely disappointed to be given 2 instant coffee satchels accompanied by 2 instant creamer satchels on a tray. Aside from all this, the room was immaculate with heated toilet seat and a bidet. The bathroom itself was enclosed in a half glass wall with venetian blinds. Our room was always stocked with the complimentary water bottles. And their breakfast buffet was phenomenal! The servers were all on point with taking our drink orders, taking our plates and assisting where they could. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Last but not least, we had friends staying at another hotel next to us and upon meeting them for dinner and breakfast at their hotel, we were grateful that we stayed at the Renaissance by Marriott.

#1- People here are the MOST INCONSIDERATE, we had death in the family sobwe neesed to shorten our stay, but they still charged us with the penalties. #2- Our room is by a MURKY WATER they call lagoon, creepy, jurassic park feels with baby crocodiles (or whatever those creatures were) floating around the black water. Dark dark, ambience, limited staff. #3- Mai Khao area is a tourist trap and can be your worst vacation nightmare. Would never reccomend this.

We had such an amazing stay here!! The staff are so unbelievable helpful and accommodating to anything you need and are so beautiful. The buffer breakfast is the best I’ve ever had. The resort is so relaxing and luxurious and the location is amazing, it’s right on the beach! The cafes and restaurants were amazing! Loved every minute here and am already missing it ☺️

I have had the pleasure of staying at this amazing property a number of times over the past 11 years and it has always been a superb experience every time. This year I have stayed twice, each time for just 3 or 4 nights and I cannot wait for the next opportunity to stay again. The staff are incredible and look after all their guests as VIPs. The hotel rooms and pool villas are out of this world - it doesn't matter what type of room I've stayed in here they are all incredibly comfortable - although the pool villas are definitely my favourites!! The facilities are top class, the choice of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner is superb, the Sandbox beach bar looks fantastic after its' makeover and all these things, combined with being right on the beachfront in Mai Khao, make the Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa experience a delight - every single time. One of my absolute favourite hotels to stay in anywhere in the world. Many thanks to all the staff that work so hard that have made my stays so enjoyable.

We had a fabulous time at the Renaissance, the Quan Spa was great and my daughter enjoyed herself at the kids club and kids pool. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel - and the food was great (although we did have to wait about 20-30 mins for our food to be served). The room was clean and comfortable. We will be back :)

Extremely dirty beach
The stay was great overall but the beach with plastic bottles, old bulbs, old shoes right in front of the hotel was very disappointing and dangerous with a child. I can believe that hotel like that doesn’t have a budget to clean up the beach at least in front of their property.

My family and I were really impressed with the hotel services. I stayed at the hotel during my birthday. I received a surprised birthday cake and a decoration "Happy Birthday" sign at the pool villa. This made my trip wonderful and memorable experience. The hotel facilities are also great. Beautiful beach and nice swimming pools.

The resort itself is beautiful; location is excellent, the grounds are beautifully maintained, pools are simple but gorgeous and the beach front position is perfect. Whether on honeymoon or with children, this hotel caters for all. The rooms are fantastic, particularly the private villas which are another level! All of the above make this hotel 5 star and class however, without question this has been the best team of people I have had the pleasure of staying with. The hotel colleagues are attentive, caring, meticulous in their approach and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere with their consistent friendly attitude. During an uncertain and anxious time for all, this team ensured that I was relaxed, taken care of and went out of their way to ensure I had the best possible holiday.

Resort is really superb. Beautiful landscape, excellent environment, professional staff paying attention to guests all the time. Breakfast amazing in terms of variety and atmosphere. Perfect beach and facilities. Spa excellent.

Great stay
It was a really relaxing stay and just what I was after. Amazing gym and really good breakfast too. A little far from the nightlife, but it’s a great location for a quiet getaway on a peaceful beach,

Perfect escape from crowded towns in Phuket.
What a pleasure it was to arrive at this beautiful hotel after not-so-great, disappointing hotel in Surin Beach. When we drove in, there were at least 4 young men — opening our taxi doors for us, swept up our luggage, offered a comfy seat and welcoming drink. Amazing, friendly, respectful service from all staff. Grounds are lovely, as is the beach. Perfect place to watch a sunset every evening. Room so nice and comfy I never wanted to get out of bed. Loved this hotel and the staff.

If you're looking to get away from it all, this is the place to be!! We were under the impression that the resort was fully opened, it wasn't.... but that probably added to the overall experience. It was like having our own private resort and staff! The beach is beautiful though the sand isn't as soft as other beaches in Phuket. The bonus part of the beach is that it's practically deserted!! The hotel is in a somewhat remote area but they will call a shuttle (for a fee) should you wish to go sightseeing, you can also get taxis to and from town (prices are negotiable and not much more than the cost of the shuttle). On any given day, after sightseeing or a day of snorkeling it was wonderful to return to the peace of our hotel. I highly recommend the upgrade to a villa with private plunge pool for a romantic getaway.

Great stay at Renaissance Phuket
Overall great experience - resort could use a spruce as things looked a bit tired and worn. Beach/pool area is great, spa treatment was great and the gym is one of the best and cleanest resort/hotel facilities that I have encountered. Brunch buffet is off the charts great and Takieng Restaurant is a must.
