“Looking for R & R, this is the place!”
Outrigger was amazingly peaceful and the staff were highly helpful. My wife and I at first glimpse of the hotel on arrival knew we'd have a pleasant time here. The hotel is somewhat away from most other resorts and it fairly new. When I arrived at the airport many taxi drivers didn't know exactly where the resort was, but we managed to find it with no problems. Just keep in mind since the hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of other resorts and tourist areas you have to taxi to those areas which wasn't really a problem since just outside the hotel gates there is a waiting taxi service (recommend renting a car). Across the street you'd find a 7-eleven and laundry service if your looking to save a few baht. Great local chicken soup across the street at the street vendor if your adventurous. We found the area of the hotel to be safe and everyone is very nice, from hotel staff to the local people. The rooms we clean and the showers are great.
“I'd go back again in a heartbeat”
The staff and accommodations were excellent. I liked the cosiness of the hotel and that it was a smaller resort. The area was perfect as it was away from the busier Patong Beach. The only downside was if one wants to be out late there are not taxis or ways to get back to the hotel. The hotel gave me their card and said to call them and they will send a taxi. They didn't ask how late I thought it would be. As clubs are open very late (or early) they should tell guests if/when taxi service stops. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay.
“Truly first class and relaxing”
Hotel was excellent, staff great, pool great to swim in and relax around, sunrise in the morning while having breakfast was fanastic.
“Exceptional in every way”
My 2 girls (13 and 9 yrs) and I have just spent 8 amazing days at Outrigger Serenity and I can't fault it. From pick-up to drop- off I was totally impressed. The staff are gorgeous, the design and functionality of the resort first class, both a Thai menu and Western menu is available and the food was fantastic from both. The kitchen will prepare anything requested if they can off-menu. The breakfast is extensive and we were there in their fruit season so totally spoit for selection. The Spa, the gym, the rooms, the activity service, the hotel driver were all wonderful. Lying by the pool, looking out at islands and water, reading a book in totally stylish surroundings and having an icey cold, lemon-grass scented flannel brought to me on a tray with iced water to drink... is my kind of heaven !
“Definitely Coming Back”
Amazing quiet resort in picturesque Rawai. Away from the chaos of Patong, but still close enough to take a taxi or hire a scooter there at your leisure. The staff were polite and helpful to extremes. My only qualm was a private party that was scheduled for Thursday night, canceling the weekly Aquaterra event, that played quite loud music and took over the pool, bar and restaurant areas. The music was loud, but a quick phone call to reception resulted in it being turned down to a more reasonable level straight away. A perfect place to relax, be pampered and order some room service after a busy day jetskiing, paraseiling and elephant trekking in the busier (and noisier) neighbourhoods. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
“Great value for money”
We booked in with an Expedia special and were very happy with the hotel considering the rate. The service and conditions were excellent and staff happy and helpful. It is not very close to the swimming beaches however the setting and view are beautiful. It was easy and reasonable to get around to nearby beaches by taxi but if we went back we would probably look at hiring a car for the stay or we would stay close to Nai Harn or Karon Beach.
“The Outrigger is Phuket's Best Kept Secret”
This hotel is 5 Star all the way! The location is gorgeous, the buildings are new and clean, the layout of the resort is warm and inviting. There is a free breakfast buffet in the open-air restaurant right off the ocean (as in, it's only about 10 feet away!). The food is wonderful with a wide selection. Don't forget to order hot dishes from the menu too (it's included). The resort offers a happy hour at the beach bar, and several activities each day. The staff will coordinate anything you'd like to do, from excusions, to boating, to bike rides to personal chaffeurs off resort property. It is a little out fo the way (45+ minute drive from airport) but it is far from the craziness of Patong Beach if peace and quite and waterfront is what you want. We were truly impressed with the staff and the quick response to all of our requests. If they say they'll be at your door in 5 minutes, they'll be ringing the door bell in only 90 seconds! Truly 5 Star Service!
“Beyond our expectations”
We were spoiled by our experience at Serenity. They were able to upgrade us to one of their sea view suites after we arrived for just a few dollars more per night. Spa was excellent, food was superb. What a pleasurable experience.
“Heavenly....”
On arrival we were given a very welcome cold fruit drink and a cold towel to refresh. The check in was fast, efficient and friendly, then we're of to our room. Golf buggy transfer! The room was lovely, very clean and spotless but it was small, the bathroom again very clean but didn't have a bath tub only shower and his and hers wash basins. No view either only the room in the next building. We only booked a standard room so we weren't unduly disappointed, but my husband thought he'd ask if there was an alternative. The staff were very helpful and offered to upgrade us the next day as at that time they were full. We were delighted with the solution and spent a very comfortable night in the standard room. The restaurant was beautiful, fantastic views and fabulous food. Run very efficiently and professionally. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Always interested in your day. The breakfast is superb, plenty of variety. The pool area is kept very clean and the pool guys were excellent in keeping everything smart and comfortable. You do have to be on your toes if you want a front line bed, we were never up early enough! The pool towels were always fluffy and fresh. Our room upgrade was fantastic, we had a pool villa townhouse, stunning. Our whole time there was perfect, so good inI fact we have booked to go out again! Book this hotel and you won't regret it!!
“GREAT FAMILY RESORT, LOTS OF ROOM”
Booked this stay at the last minute and wasn't sure about it since I have traveled around Southeast Asia and know what surprises are out there as far as hotels go. I traveled with my husband, 3 yr. old son and our helper. What a pleasant surprise Serenity Resort turned out to be!! I had booked a 2 bedroom suite and was told we had been given an upgrade upon arrival to a 3 bedroom suite. The 'suite' turned out to be an apartment with 3 levels. First level were the bedrooms, all with private baths. Second floor was the kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen was complete with coffee maker, toaster, oven, full size fridge and dishes, silverware, pots. There was a balcony off the master bedroom and off the living area. The balcony off the living area had stairs going up to our own private rooftop jacuzzi, barbecue and sun loungers. The resort is only a couple of years old, so everything was in working order and tastefully decorated. The staff were extremely helpful and polite the entire stay. Breakfast in the restaurant had a wide variety to choose from, our son was pleased to find pb and jelly. Room service was delivered quickly. We did use the resort taxi, which is a nice car with wi-fi. Our son enjoyed the playroom and the pool, which has an area that is shallow for the little ones. No beach area to play on, which could be a drawback for some, when the tide is in the water is close to the pool, but the view was stunning. I had no complaints and would definitely return.
