Dirty rooms, unclean, wouldn’t recommend.
We were supposed to stay 6 nights here, but every room we were given had hair or blood stains in the beds. We had to change 4 different times to 4 different rooms, each room either had sheets with blood stains, hair everywhere or just over all dirty rooms... The staff was extremely nice, obviously it's not the receptions fault, so they then switched our hotels to Surf (their sister hotel in Kata). We are staying here now but this hotel is even run down.. Pool is murky/unclean, definitely won't be getting in. We're happy to have a clean room though, but wow... Super disappointing situation. Wouldn't recommend staying here. To the manager or whoever the higher up is reading this, please do a quality check on your rooms, linens and beds.... 4 rooms all with hair, blood and over all

The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful, the male staff in reception friendly too, but the more senior lady staff in reception seemed mostly busy on their smart phones, seldom looking up to actively ensure a good stay for the customers or even extend a smile or friendly gesture. I think this hotel has a general feel that they do not have to make any efforts because clients are coming anyway. Hotel is functional, not dirty but just about delivering minimum expectations of cleanliness, nothing more and nothing less. Active information about facilities, services and things to enjoy, including proper information about transportation options across the area is almost non existent. Environmental responsibility and helping customers spend less single use plastic by eliminating bottles, using water tanks instead, remove plastic from waste bins etc. is non existent. Here the hotel management should step their game up. There is room for improvement and perhaps I would after that stay here again.

1. Thanks to all staff for birthday surprise during breakfast, we were really surprised even myself ( I guess my requested was denied but finally it happened with surprised also myself over my expectation) 2. We are really happy with your room even we don’t spend our time to access to the pool. 3. The overall of staff were very friendly and professional even with us (Thai). 4. Improvement point are breakfast food were not variety compared with other hotel what we use to spend in same rate, I am not sure if you have 2 stand lard for high and low season, but I would recommend to improve it asap.(especially the bacon(my favorite) but we never touched it due to really thurible appearance and dry). Last point: again thanks for professional team in the hotel and look forward to see some improvements with my future visiting! See you soon!

Great return stay.
We stayed here back in 2014. Was good to see it was still good. Location was convenient 10 mins walk to Kata Beach. Room was clean and cozy. Staff was warm and friendly. Would stay here again.

I like location - Kata beach. But it is not resort 4 star, maximum 2-3 star hotel, very noisy. Friendly and welcome staff mostly does not speak English.

Kata Stay
Just an average place to stay in the hustle of kata beach. Good VALUE for money. I had a swim out room and sadly the room next to me was being repaired / painted so when I had air conditioning on my room filled with pain fumes. People congregate by the small pool waiting for taxis and day trips smoking. Breakfast was adequate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Short walk to beach. Kata is over run with Russian tourists do stay away as there are much nicer parts to visit.

A pleasant place to stay with a 4-minute walk to the beach. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good amenities and a great full breakfast. Basically clean, but they need to work on spiff and shine and beefier towels.

Lovely Hotel
A lovely hotel with great staff. Breakfast was worth getting up for. 5 minutes walk to the beach only draw back was walking directly out onto a road with no sidewalk especially with kids. 10 minute walk to beach if not walking via the beach, again on a fairly busy road but drivers are aware of pedestrians. Was a little disappointed that we didn’t get an upgrade even though the booking offered this as part of the deal and our room was at the road side so a little noisy with traffic in the mornings. The staff did try to accommodate by offering a quieter room but the room was smaller and the view was not as nice. We did get a sea view room so not so bad. Overall myself and 2 children had a lovely stay and would stay there again. Although I would like to try the Sugar Marina Resirt - Fashion next time as it was more convenient for the beach.

Pretty decent
It's pretty comfortable for it's price. The floors are a little bit oily, presumably from the type of cleaning agent used to clean the floors. Felt like stepping on dried up oil. Sheets were not changed daily and after room makeup, they did not replace the bathroom mat. Apart from those, the room was reasonably clean, and both the room & bathroom was spacious. We were lucky to get a room with a view of Kata Beach and Big Buddha atop the hill but my friends were not as lucky as their room's view was of another private housing facing a dark road with trees so there were mosquitoes. WiFi isn't great but we had unlimited data so it wasn't a problem. Hotel staff were friendly. Overall, not bad for the price.

Decent Hotel with room for improvement
I have stayed in this hotel previously and have always liked its proximity to the beach and modern comfort. However this time the hot water in my room does not work in the evenings when I most needed a hot shower and this problem has persisted throughout my entire stay. Their engineer could not fix this. And internet was working probably only 50% of the time. Hope they will get these basic things sorted out soon.

Nice little hotel near the quieter kota beach with a lot of restaurants around. Breakfast buffet is ok nothing fancy. Front desk stuff are mostly nice except 1 girl with glasses who maybe in bad mood that day show no smile at all. But room is clean, will stay again.

Hotel is a little dated. However, our room was a reasonable size, clean and comfortable. It was on the 2nd floor at furthest point from reception so was quiet. Breakfast selection was ok, not the best but not the worst. Hotel is within walking distance of beach and restaurants. Personally, we found Karon beach a better place to stay than Kata and closer to Patong if you are interested in what that offers. Whilst the hotel was ok next time I would go for something a little newer. Very limited parking.

Pleasant stay in great location
If you want an affordable, friendly, hotel located close to Kata Beach, this is a great choice. Only a 2 minute walk to the beach, the hotel has incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including free mini bar (water, coca-cola, snickers bar, can of beer, and orange juice) restocked daily. Room was turned over daily, and the housekeepers changed the bed sheets upon our request halfway through the week. If you have B&B option, breakfast is a buffet of both hot and cold food options, including continental but also thai food (fried rice for breakfast was unusual at first but became a normal thing for us!!). When checking out, we had an 8 hour wait before we were due to be collected from the airport. During this time, the hotel looked after our bags but also allowed us use of the pool area and even access to showers before we left, which was a huge help (didn't fancy getting on two 7-hour flights after a day in the heat!!). It isn't luxury, but if you're looking for something affordable, where you get a lot for your money, this is a great place.

The location of the hotel is good near of the beach, the buffet breakfast was good but juices too sweet. I requested room service for dinner and next day the dishes and glasses had not been removed.

A good compromise
The hotel is in a great location, very close to two beaches. The areas is also very well served and not as crowded as other areas in Phuket. The only drawback is related to the cleanliness, as it did not meet very high standards. It’s acceptable, but I would have expected more. I have to say that it improved over my stay, as I was more disappointed at the arrival. Overall, it’s a good compromise, as the quality price ratio is ok and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is average.

Does what is says on the tin...
The hotel is well located next to the beach and local amenities. We stayed for one week and were immediately welcomed by the staff and invited to join in with a local tradition which was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself was a bit of a let down - looking a little tired and unkept. The cleaning of the rooms was done with pretty minimal effort and unfortunately our room had damp problems with wet bedsheets and a dank smell which the hotel tries their best to cover with air fresheners. Obviously the Thai climate has a say in this, so I can’t totally blame the hotel. The room itself was very spacious and the design, pleasing to the eye. One issue seems to be wardrobe space...there is none. Also - a safety deposit box that Was not bolted down to anything or Infact wired so it worked - sort of defeats the object of it really! The pool area was rather non descriptive. Open to the main road and car park it’s not really a place to enjoy the day but it looks pretty at night time. Staff were very polite,helpful and had a smile. Overall - the hotel pics advertised were obviously when it was first built so looks nicer than reality. However it serves its purpose as a 3 star rated hotel.

Had a great time here. Only recommendation is to have the mini bar adequately stocked and re-stocked. The minibar was only restocked with 1 beer per day, should be at least 4 beers and wine and more snacks included

Great retreat from crowded beach
We feelt very comfortable at your hotel. The pool was great. The breakfast enormous! We had been to Kata 13 years ago. Unfortunately the beach is now so terribly crowded- but this is not possible to change. The community could put up clean toilets along the beach.

Upon arrival we were greeted by their bubbly and friendly staff. I really love their warm hospitality ^^ ! The room were reasonably cleaned although there were a few rust here and there but it is overall acceptable :) ! The bathroom comes with a lovely tub and a separate showerhead + rainforest showerhead. They even have things like a beach mat, umbrella, towers and slippers that you can bring to the beach !!! The pool was pretty and reasonably sized too. For the price you paid, I would say it was a very good deal. This is not some 5-star hotel so do not expect so much. My boyfriend and I loved it so much and we would definitely return again :DDD !

Sugar Marina Nautical has an excellent location. Not too close nor far from restaurants, massage parlour n beach. Lova you can.just walk to all these places. The room condition can further be improve though , for example the curtains n sheets. Other than that, a great hotel.

Stayed a few days to go diving with Super Divers. In general nice hotel with a lot included at a fair price. Freindly staff. Used pool and shower before going to the airport on the last day, very convenient.

Couldn't praise this hotel and especially the staff. I went to the desk one day to make an inquiry and all the staff switched off the lights and brought out a birthday cake and sung Happy Birthday, they had got the date from my passport. Amazing !
