We showed up at the resort about 5:00 PM, (normal check in time is 2:00 PM). We had to wait for about 1 hour, as our rooms was not ready yet. They were nice to give us a complimentary drink as we waited. Other than that, our stay was fine....

Good hotel away from Patong
This property is back off the main road before you reach the township of Kamala, it is sign posted but it is easy to miss (if heading to Patong and you get to the Phuket Fantasea area you have gone too far) Very well appointed and well maintained this hotel is a great base if you dont want the noise and hustle of Patong. The room was fine with a large living area, a small well appointed kitchenette area and two comfortable bedrooms. Bathroom was a little small but was usable. The pool area was great as was the main restaurant area. Overall a good stay.

There are no elevators, my niece had a leg plaster, she was assigned third floor. This hotel is not handicapped friendly and the desk staff is rude.

The hotel is ok for family with kid, the interior is dated, at times the music in the pool is too loud, should have more than one swimming pool, one for the kiddies and one for adult, the room bar prices is outrages.

Not a 5 star hotel
It’s not a 5 star hotel , probably a3 star at best. Rooms shabby but the location is terrible. I was looking at a building site and the opposite view was a shanty town.. truly awful. We booked a 3 bed suite at 3k for 5 nights. When we arrived we didn’t even unpack- we demanded to be relocated to a sister hotel. We were moved but they charged us £500 for the night ( we didn’t stay there that night). The relocated hotel was much better. The hotel is not as described and the one day cancellation charge left a sour taste.

Absolutely love that it is sucha kid friendly hotel. Ala club med. A lot of activities for children and adults. The kamala beach is within 3 mins via hotel buggy + 5 mins walk. It was a pity that the pool slides was under maintenance..so we couldnt experience that. The hotel staff was rather flexible with checkin time, as they got us our room as early as noon. Nong at the reception was helpful. The spa was also a bliss. Koi the therapist is god sent!

We have a 2 bed rooms units, both rooms are quite small, however they made the space for living and dining areas. I felt that the bed rooms and the bath room should be bigger instead. The room is due for refurbishing. The unit is kept quite cleans. The chairs and side table at balcony facing pool side need to refurbish.

Property is very close to the beach (just across the road - just be careful when crossing since it’s a busy 2-way street). There are restaurants along the beach which you can walk to - since the resort only has one restaurant. Resort room/facilities are a bit old and worn but it has all the basics and rooms are clean/spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Area is relatively quiet (but there was construction behind the resort) compared to the busy Patong area. Most taxis have fixed/flat rate - usually about Bt500 to/from Patong and Bt800 to/from airport.

The resort is well equipped for families with a kids club, great pool, and other activities such as table tennis, pool and other planned daily activities. The rooms are lovely and spacious with most of them having a pool view. It is set back from the beach (5 min walk) and at the other end of the beach from the town centre (10-15min walk along the beach). So if you have young children you might consider a stroller, or be willing to pay for a tuk tuk to get into town. We loved our stay at the Swissôtel Resort.

Mostly it was very nice and buffet breakfast excellent! We would say rooms although very clean do need upgrading and painting, shower door wasn’t good and after every shower water would leak out of shower door and side panel all over the floor. Pool very good great for children facilities good. Overall very satisfied.

Give this one a miss !
This is really nowhere close to being a 5 star hotel, shabby and tired rooms, bad location and badly run. Pool water murky, breakfast buffet terrible and staff who were unable to provide anything gluten-free for one of our family. There are a couple of nice looking hotels (really) on the beach in Kamala, Novotel & Intercontinental - book there instead !

The Swissotel was a great hotel, well placed - just a 10 minute walk from Kamala beach and a 20 minute drive from Patong and Bangla road. The staff there were more than willing to help you out, special mention to Falada on the front desk who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best it could be, booked all our excursions and sorted any mini problems we had. Breakfast buffet was great, more than enough choices to satisfy you every morning, some freshly cooked there and then. There's free water replaced daily in your room. The air con worked very well cooling your room down. The cleaners were a bit inconsistent with the times they came to clean your room but don't take that away from the brilliant job they did! The prices were a bit much for our liking, they had a ++ system which we didn't know about until we were charged more than we're thought we're should have been and asked about it! Whatever the price was, add another 10%, then another 7% for service charge and government tax. Try to have the right money because sometimes we didn't get our change which was a bit naughty. There's a bar/restaurant 2 minute walk down the road called Baan Mai which was fantastic and had good prices, if not walk down to Kamala Beach and go to Lillo Island, another fantastic place to go with plenty of choice at great value! Evenings entertainment was more focused at children with this being more of a family hotel so not much for the adults.

Regarding to the issue mentioned about billing process, all of the hotels in Phuket must include Vat, Provincial Tax and Service for the business process. NICE HOTEL BUT NOT A 5 STAR BUT A 3 STAR FOR THE MOST. POOL AREA NOT CLEAN VERY NOISY ALL DAY. Not so good experience in Swissotel Phuket
Below par service at Swissotel Resort Kamal Beach, Phuket. Room service was reactive...they wont replenish toiletries, bathroom essentials, wont replace bath towels, bedsheets until i asked them. We reached and checked in late, around 9.45pm local time, went for dinner in their in-house restaurant and the service from restaurant staff was as if they were doing us a favour...they switched off fan even though we were having dinner. The resort location is also not that good, it is not that convenient if anybody wants to roam around Phuket. Overall, i will avoid Swissotel resort if i ever come back to Phuket for another trip.

Facilities were tired/worn out and need a refresh. Pool was dirty/water cloudy. Waterslide was worn out. Balcony in room was rusted and unsafe. PowerPoints in room not fixed to wall securely. Lounge room inadequate for 5 people and only 3 chairs at dining table. Bathroom was ridiculously small. Smallest I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Certainly disappointing for a Swissotel. We have experienced much better at other Swissotels.

It was wonderful. Staff is the best so friendly and helpful. Pool had a problem with the cleaning system and after 10 days it was still not fixed. Thats a real petty but for the rest all was great

Absolutely no regrets. This place was very welcoming. Alessandra, one of the customer service mangers, and Nong, a front desk receptionist, were absolutely wonderful people. We are a German / American family; Alessandra came up with the idea to put an Independence Day gift basket in our room on July 4th. Not a big deal on its own, but this is just an example of how thoughtful the staff is. They also stood up for me when I felt slighted by an external company. They called the management of the outside company and made sure our family was properly represented. They really went the extra mile. I already miss the hotel staff and Thailand in general. Oh, the kids... they were in kid heaven. The staff has scheduled activities and the pool is warm and super kid friendly. They have movie night every night, a kids only special menu in the awesome restaurant, special kids drinks they call mocktails, and, most of all, the staff let the families play - never emplacing a bunch of rules in the attempt to control, rather leaving parenting to parents. This place made for a truly memorable family vacation.
