We got a room with access to the pool which was worth every penny. The pool is very nice, clean and modern. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach but there is a shuttle available in the mornings to both Kata and Karon beach. Supermarkers and restaurants/bars are all in a walka le distance

The dark wooden floor in the shower room. You could not see whether it was clean or not. One key card per room. The air conditioner would turn off when we left the room and we would come back to a hot room .

This hotel was under par. Our room was a swim up to the pool which was awesome but that's it. The beds...omg, the beds are the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. I can't ...it was like sleeping on the floor. What's the point! The pool however was great. The staff was ok. I asked for ice...don't have, I asked for fries( we were stuck in doors because of hard rain) Don't have, extra mattress topper because the bed sucked...don't have. Taxi? to get to the main area...don't have...So I blew up! Your a hotel and you don't have taxis?? All of a sudden they had someones number and 15 min later a taxi showed up. This hotel looks great in the pictures but its all just a coat of paint. You can tell they tried to make it look new and modern but it's sloppy. The shower boards on the floor actually hurt my feet. Like wth? Arghh.. don't waste your money. This room cost me $140 cnd a night. I stayed in the most insanely beautiful perfect hotel of my life just up a hill in Patong...called Mai House. That one cost me $114 a night and it was the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. Just stunning. Go there. Not here.

This hotel was priced reasonably at $112, but could improve its level of service with some improved offerings. There wasn't any mini bar, and purchases from the reception had to be made in cash, no bookings to the room.

We stayed here for 6 nights when travelling in Phuket. The room: we got a pool access room which was very convenient Had a nice and clean sit-out area for soaking up the sun. Bed was nice and big enough for me, husband and our 3.5 year old who wanted to sleep with us The children's cot was clean and basic and did the job well. The pool: Nice and clean it has enough pool chairs to lounge around the pool The general ambience: the whole place is small enough, but very nice and neat it is close to a main road, so you can hear the vehicles if sitting outside However, the windows/doors to the room are sound proof and the noise didn't get in. Breakfast buffet: Average Access to beach and other places: Karon and Kata beach are about 10 min away by Tuk/Tuk taco ( 200 baht) - there is also a hotel shuttle that takes you down to the beach in the morning. There are some fruit markets and road side cooking stalls for dinner and such. Seven eleven and pharmacy is close by Close-ish ( 30 mins) to Chalong temples, Big Budda etc Overall, its a nice place and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Brilliant hotel, room was a good size, very clean. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was very good, location quiet .... cannot fault it, definitely would stay again.

Decent hotel with great beach and food around
A clean and decent hotel for a few nights stay. Great price near some temples, markets, and sights to see in the south area of Phuket. Beautiful beaches are a moderate walk away with some great food choices nearby. "Hero Bar" which is a few blocks away has some incredible food!

Lovely friendly staff with clean spacious rooms. Pool just off my balcony Close to good cheep food and supermarket Beach about 20 minutes walk away. Thought this hotel was excellent value so have booked again for two weeks next month

Fairly new hotel which is well maintained.
Discovered on the Internet and the reviews were excellent which is not always the case. The hotel is spotless and very well maintained and a credit to the management and staff. My one reservations is the cost of breakfast - 400 bahts is a wee bit steep. The pool is clean but the sun beds need mattresses. I would strongly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Quiet Hotel
We hardly got time to spend in the hotel room due to our hectic schedule. But the hotel was quiet and the silence can be felt in the evenings. My room was on ground floor with access to pool and my wife used to fear of intrusion. They don't have bell boys. poor receptionist had to carry my heavy luggage to room and to taxi. Morning breakfast is very limited, but tasty and well cooked. It is a little far from beach, but while walking down to Kata beach you may end up landing in Heroes Bar which is a superb place to eat and hangout and some live music. Also connected to a local shops with variety of items to offer. Overall, it was a good experience if not great.

Very Pleasant Hotel
Nice, modern and comfortable hotel. Staff speak little English but are friendly and warm. Room is spacious, clean and modern. Loved the Melody branded umbrellas that you can use. Hotel is on the main road, so it takes about 12 minutes to walk to Kata beach; 20 to Karon beach. But it's a pleasant walk with many shops and restaurants along the way. Great little Thai restaurant next to the hotel called Mama Daengs. Serves meals for 50 Bhat - way cheaper and more filling than a lot of the tourist traps near the beach.

Great hotel for the price
Brand new rooms that were very clean. The staff was extremely sweet. It's a 15 min walk to the beach and a simple hotel but it's a good choice if you want good, clean spacious rooms at a very reasonable rate.

Great stay, family enjoyed.
Great stay here. Positioned 15 minute walk to Kata and Karon beaches. On busy main road but short walking distance to restaurants or you can catch a Tuk Tuk to any area within Karon beach for 200 baht. Best beach is Kata Noi. Rooms are very comfortabe. Balconies are a bit small. Pool is nice and very quiet. Don't think it is worth the extra for pool access room as everyone can see directly in to your room and seems little privacy. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels. Unlimited beach towels although they are a bit small. Breakfast is poor. Eggs cold, and very limited choice. Would definetly stay again as great value for money and everywhere is so accessible. Beware on checkout though as another review said about towels, we were questioned about a missing teaspoon!

Overall a pleasant stay. Staffs were very helpful. Located at the Main Street, a bit far from the beach and eateries. We rented a scooter, so location was just nice.

The Melody a great place to stay.
We stayed at the Melody for 5 nights. We paid extra for the pool room as it were great when we got back to our room to be able to dip straight into the pool. The balcony were big enough but would be better if they were sunbeds instead of chairs. Also if there were somewhere to hang your wet clothes & towels.The staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good. About 10/15 minutes to the beach and the centre for bars and shops. I would definately recommend staying here.

So, so happy
I booked my holiday just 1 week before leaving so not a lot of accommodation options left. I have stayed at Karon/Kata area several times so knew the location of this hotel and on that basis chose it and it was an excellent place to call home for 7 days. My room was superb and I was able to walk through my patio and straight into the pool which was very enjoyable after a day in the heat. The beach was not close but a slow 15 minute walk away and it is always good to have exercise when on holiday anyway. The room was very comfortable including the bed and the only fault I found was the Wifi did not always work well. I celebrated my birthday during the time I was there and the staff kindly gave me a birthday cake. I had included the breakfast option in my room rate and found the choices to be more than satisfactory. All staff always had a ready smile and were very obliging.

Nice small hotel.
We really enjoyed our 10 days at the Melody hotel. The staff were very pleasant, the rooms were good. We especially liked our room. We had one of the pool rooms. There were plenty of restaurants near by and it was about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The only negative comment I would make is that the hotel is called The Melody Karon, when in fact the hotel is at Kata beach not Karon beach. They are two completely different locations. So if you have a preference for Karon beach you might want to be aware of this. Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay at the Melody and would highly recommend it.

Clean hotel but not great
We had a jazz pool access room and it's very nice. Hotel looks new and modern. Bad thing is it's in awful non-diverse Russian-tourist neighborhood and all the restaurants we saw were in European menu instead of authentic Thai food. Hotel room doesn't have rack to dry our wet clothes from pool and beaches. Also the hotel tried to charge me 300 bahts ($9US) for a hand towel that I got coffee stains on.

Decent Hotel
Hotel Melody is a newer hotel. Pros : 1) The staff is very attentive and friendly 2) Breakfast is good with a decent variety of option. 3) Location is decent close to Kata beach a short 10 minute walk and in a neighborhood that is a bit quiet which we preferred. Cons : 1) This is only my opinion but the room requires more outlets. The room itself had only 2 outlets to charge devices and should have had more. 2) No shuttle service to the beach.

The Melody gave a melodious treat of stay
We really had an awesome experience staying in The Melody. All the staffs were really nice, friendly, hospitable & easy to deal with. Its because of the warm welcoming nature of the staffs that has made the stay at Melody a memorable one. Loved each & every second stayed in the hotel. Breakfast was deliciously made to enjoy its each & every bite. Cleanliness of the room & its surrounding was really nice & tidy. Definitely its worth a penny & I would definitely suggest it to my friends & families. Bathroom was also good with 24 hrs supply hot n cold water. Though we didn't have the time to spend on pool but the pool looks nice, calm & clean.

to gaew and mud the staff at the melody. it was a good experience clean spacious pool brilliant. mayb 800 the beach. stayed there for 6 nights and it was excellent. mayb if they could change the breakfast abit. got abit boring after 3 nights. but excellent stay.

clean rooms, great designs in general, great staff - esp the uncle who was holding umbrellas for everyone at the porch on a rainy night. breakfast was decent. pool was clean. shampoo and bath soap are provided but you should probably bring your own (or at least bring along a conditioner, and the bath soap is def not a good substitute for face soap). if you're thinking of getting a massage somewhere, definitely check out the one recommended by the hotel "Kata Day Spa" - same prices but much better services.

As the title spells it all. Great service by the hotel staff, readily to help. Location wise would recommend to rent a bike to travel around. 10-15 mins walk away from the beach. Plenty of eatery around and nearby with 7-11 as well as 24hrs supermart.

We liked everything but the breakfast. We know that during the low season, for the price paid we couldn't expect much more from the breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. The tour and transfer that we booked through the hotel where awesome and very professional.

I'd go back to this hotel everytime
What i love most is their generous beds, very comfortable n plenty of space, very good air con, super fast wifi, beautiful buffet breakfast and very friendly staffs. I would say the bathroom is nice too but the flow of water from the shower could be made bigger and needs more hooks to hang clothes/towels. Neighbourhood while not surrounded by resorts/beaches, it's neighbouring with convenience store, awesome local cafe (gluay nam wa) and one humble restaurant that serves the number1 bbq pork in Phuket(look to your 2 o'clock direction from hotel's driveway). Kata beach is just a 15 mins walk from this hotel.

Everything new, clean king size bed, very comfortable. Long swimming pool, with car park and guard. recommended to short stay for 1-2 days. Simple breakfast, car rental is must.

Music to my ears!
Brilliant hotel! Booked 2 nights at first and ended up adding another 3 nights! All the staff are very friendly and very helpful. The room is kept wonderfully clean and housekeeping are very vigilant with keeping it nice. The bed was great and I slept like a baby. The breakfast is good value for money and the swimming pool is also nice. The only slight thing is that the shower could have been more powerful. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

Accommodating and comfortable
The team at The Melody Phuket were accommodating and friendly. Good location if you like to get around on a motorbike as I did, yet there are still many restaurants and massage salons within comfortable walking distance. As it was low season, the buffet breakfast selection was a bit limited but an awesome restaurant/cafe was opposite the hotel adjoining the petrol station that I attended instead each morning. Must do - upgrade to a pool room as it was so awesome to have a pool at your back door, reasonably priced too. Will come back for sure, thanks Melody Phuket :o)

Nice Hotel Close Not Far from Beach
We stayed at the Melody in April for one week. We were presently surprised with the room. The hotel was just opened December 2014. Facilities were modern and clean. The hotel staff were helpful and there was usually someone on staff who could speak good english. Hotel is close to markets, and within walking distance to Kata beach and Karon beach. Breakfast was included in the room price and there was a decent selection of items. Our room was on the second floor. I would recommend booking a first floor pool access room. Great value for the money we spent.
