Great hotel in SurinPosted Dec 1, 2013
Pros: Great service, jacuzzi on balcony, spacious room.
Location: Catch Beach club which Ayara provides free daily membership with hotel stay.
Got upgrade from Expedia Elite Plus which was great. Hotel is walking distance from beach. We stayed in Patong for a few days before going to Surin and liked this hotel and area much better.

Nice hotel, good locationPosted Nov 15, 2013
Pros: Front desk staff very nice & helpful, buffet breakfast was great.
Cons: Make the breakfast area non smoking. Get trained staff in the Spa, massage was the worst ever!!!! More towels in the room would be nice.
Location: Location quite good, Surin was one of the better areas that we saw in Phuket, beach quite good. Next time I would probably choose a beachfront hotel.
Overall a pleasant hotel, nice well kept grounds, very pleasant front desk staff & manager. Rooms are very nicely appointed. Although our impression was severely let down when housekeeping put stained sheets on our bed one day, when we asked them to change it we saw that the mattress protector underneath was also very stained. they then proceeded to flip over the mattress protector & put new sheets over the top ( nice!!) of course I refused to accept that & had them go & find a clean one. I was shocked that they don't change the mattress protector after each guest checks out. There were also ongoing issues with a leaky smelly toilet. I think housekeeping needs more training. The day spa is hugely disappointing, I have regular Thai massages but this one was the most unpleasant & unskilled massage I have ever encountered. You can get a great massage at the beach for only THB 400.00

Exceptional views @ the beautiful Surin Beach!Posted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: Clean, friendly, beautiful, relaxing & private... what more could you want?
Cons: More days in Phuket!! :)
Location: Ayara Hilltops is north of Patong at Surin Beach - its on the island of Phuket (not to be confused with Phuket Town).
Ayara Hilltops is a luxury escape that any traveller would dream of! - Whether relaxing in the beautiful hilltop suite or taking a hotel run buggy down to the beach and enjoying the sun and sand; you'll love your stay at Surin Beach - just a short tuk-tuk ride north of Patong.

Exceptional resort at Surin BeachPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: Suite decor and outdoor shower, tropical gardens, swimming pool, food, spa massage
Location: Beautiful hill setting across the road from clean beach. Easy 30 minutes car ride from Phuket city and Festival shopping mall.
Just about everything about our seven days stay at Ayara Hilltops was superb. Excellent service at exceptional property. Enjoyed our suite comfort and outdoor shower, well maintained tropical gardens, swimming pool setting, spa massages and Surin beach. For breakfast there is generous choice of meals and a la carte menu offers first class meals. There is no need to leave a resort at all as all your needs can be met at the resort at the very highest standards. And all the staff providing exceptional service are a big credit to this outstanding resort.

SuperbPosted Jul 6, 2013
Pros: How we were treated by the staff. A credit to management. So friendly and helpful.
Cons: Having to leave.
Location: - hillside overlooking the ocean - architecturally amazing - beautiful gardens and water features - first-class resort - meticulously maintained
We recently stayed at this boutique resort to celebrate my 50th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed at reception by the Office Manager and her capable team. Finishing touches in our room such as super soft quilts, beautiful floral arrangements, an outdoor shower, fragrant bathroom products, and some home made cookies included in the nightly turn down service add to the ambience, not to mention the most comfortable king size bed we have ever slept in. The staff and management of the resort went above and beyond their respective roles to ensure that we had a most enjoyable stay and a birthday celebration that I will always treasure. My husband, in conjunction with the staff, arranged a beautiful candle-lit dinner on the balcony of our suite, and spoilt me with gorgeous red roses, a birthday cake and french champagne. The staff had also decorated our balcony with candles and filled our whirlpool balcony spa with an assortment of flower petals. Everything was perfect, and the two staff that served our meal were lovely. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the picturesque pool. We tried a number of dishes from the restaurant menu during our stay and each and every one of them was delicious. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone. We will definitely visit again.

Incredible servicePosted Jun 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
The rooms were amazing! We had 4 rooms full of friends and while they were all different, we were all thrilled with our rooms. We had the best view because we were at the top but all were good! Incredible breakfast and the banana bread is a most try! The buggy rides up and down the hill were incredibly prompt to arrive just minutes after requesting a ride. We absolutely will return again. Not much in the way of shopping close by but the staff arranged a car and gave the obscure destination of some wood carvings and I was delighted with treasures found there! The only negative was the recommendation to see PhantaSea... Hated it! Not the American taste at all but I recognize the draw for the Asian culture... We were looking for more authentic Thai dancing and this show is a variety show with magic, tigers, comedy and absolutely every other thing you can possibly cram into 90 minutes. Every other recommendation was great!!!! Simply an amazing staff that had a common goal to fulfill our every need and with the courteous Thai greeting.....simply charming experience!

relaxing get awayPosted Apr 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a beautiful property in Phuket. perfect if you want to relax at the pool or walk to the beach and just relax. The restaurant at the hotel has amazing food and the prices are reasonable . There are numerous restaurants on the beach if you want to walk to them. They are only a short walk away. The only issue we had with our room was that the little jetted tub did not have the jets working and although we told the front desk was done or we did not receive an explanation during our 3 nights there. There is no shopping close by if you want to shop and you must go by shuttle or take a cab to shop if that is what you want. We had shopped in Bangkok and at Kata beach so were not looking to shop.
