Nice hotel in the city, close to everything.Posted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: The bath tub needs a shower curtain to prevent the water spill out to the bath room floor.
Cons: Need to install a shower curtain around the bath tub. The bath room light could be brighter.
Location: I love this hotel. It is centrally located in the city. Everything is in walking distance to Bangla street, Shopping mall, restaurants and beach.
It is quiet and peaceful hotel in the middle of noisy city of Patong Beach of Phuket. The staff are friendly and attentive, daily breakfast buffet is good with wide choice array of western and Asian food. The room comes with a complimentary mini bar or wifi. The minibar is replenish daily with 2 beer and 3 bottles of soft drink. The restaurant offer daily special menu for two about $10-12. In the evening, the happy hour drink special cost about $3-4. Good value for your money.

GreatPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was a pleasant stay as the location is near to everything but yet quiet enough for a good rest. Hotel is spacious with a good layout. It would be better if the curtains are changed to blackout curtains instead. Hotel staff are not very service orientated and they can only converse basic English. Overall, good experience.

Decent hotel, good locationPosted Aug 29, 2013
Pros: Clean, confortable, good location. Good breakfast
Cons: No elevator in one building, pool closes at 7 and should be open later.
Location: Walking distance to good food, massage, shopping and nightlife
Close to the main road but far enough back to avoid evening and daytime noise. Pleasant place, nice people, rooms are clean and in good shape. Walking distance to nightlife, massages, and popular restaurants. Food at the hotel was good, the breakfast was well above average with a good variety. At US$60 per night it is well worth it but if you want to be close to the beach it is a 10 minute walk. The closest best restaurant is called No 6 and there is a waiting line from noon-close very good authentic thai food at below tourist prices. The best massage is a 3 minute walk Bua Thai massage (they wear the orange shirts), ask for Ang. At US$7/hour she is amazing, very strong or how you prefer, good english, and very pleasant. The pool lounge chairs are comfortable and the water is clean. It is not a 5 star place but worth it if you want to play it safe and not risk your stay.

Convenient locations but lacking personal touchPosted Aug 22, 2013
Pros: Location is really near the beach and many good eateries
Cons: Facilities especially the shower n adaptor
Location: Beach, food ,shopping or basically just chill out in the sun
Location is great as it's fairly near main road and Patong beach. However, there's quite a number of disappointing details of which made me never want to stay there again. Firstly, there's the hotel policy that you can only refill water bottle once in the morning per day. Can't domore than once. But i hguess you can always get mineral water out side. Secondly, hotel has no adaptor or they will keep telling you that they might have but not at the moment when the truth is they will never come and you just got buy one yourself from 7-Eleven outside. Thirdly the shower is a bad experience. As the shower head is fixed on top also water is basically splashing outwards with no control of direction. he water direction and concentration at all. So i had to literally put a face tower around it for the water to be more focused in order to wash my hair in an efficient manner. If not you can expect to take twice your usual showering time to just ensure you are clean after that. And lastly there's no lift to the side building which i was staying at 2nd floor. So it really depends on your luck as to which building you are allocated to. Not to mention there's this weird noise about the door which was fixed fortunately after our feedback on the first day. Honestly hotel staff are not particularly friendly as well. So other than location i really can't write much about the good points. But for the price i paid and the relatively expensive alternative options i still enjoyed our st

Saving grace on PatongPosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: Beautiful resort
Cons: The Wifi connection isn't very good
Location: Centrally located on Patong, although the beach itself is pretty scummy.
This was a wonderful hotel. I must say, choosing to stay on Patong was a mistake- the beach has become pretty nasty. This hotel was an escape from the chaos of Patong whilst still being near enough to venture out and experience the madness. The staff were so nice and helpful and arranged all of our adventures for us. The room was comfy, large and clean and the pool was great. While I don't think I would stay on Patong again, if I did I would definitely stay here.

Pleasant SurprisePosted Aug 17, 2013
Pros: The staff were lovely and I hope management look after them
Cons: No gym!! this was a negative for my husband didnt bother me lol
Location: Location handy to restaurants and shopping but still quiet which is what we want
We found the R-Mar Resort to be a very pleasant surprise. Having stayed at many resorts in Phuket we choose the R-Mar for location and price. The staff are wonderful and I would have to say the best I have found at any resort, from the front desk staff to the cleaning ladies to the restaurant staff, all were friendly, courteous and helpful. Well done to them all. The rooms were more than adequate with a lovely size balcony to enjoy pre-dinner drinks on. Air Con was quiet and worked well. Bed comfortable with lovely pillows. Location is great and although only walking distance to rat-u -thit road and all the hussle and bussle it was quiet. Two lovely restaurants just in the alleyway as you walk in, both very good quality and great choice of food, recommend you try both. Breakfast at the R-Mar was good and selection more than adequate. Cant think of any negatives and I would definetly recommend staying here.

Would stay again!Posted Aug 14, 2013
We really enjoyed our stay at the R-Mar. The staff were very kind and even allowed us to change our booking dates last minute free of charge. The room was nice and comfortable and the breakfast was reasonable. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to stay in the Patong area!

Nice family resortPosted Jul 10, 2013
Pros: The location was great 2 minutes walk to shops, restaurants and pubs/clubs. Resort was quiet so always had a good nights sleep.
Cons: The shower in the bathroom would flood the floor when you showered.
Location: Extremely close to everything but still a very quiet location.
We stayed in 2 deluxe rooms on the lower level looking out to the pool. we did feel that if the rooms could have access directly out to the pool area it would definitely improve the experience more for guests. The hotel is well positioned next to restaurants, shops, bars and clubs, anything you could want. The bathroom is a bad design as when showering the water overflows the tub rim and runs onto the floor which takes a couple of hours to dry. It's manageable but still a bit of a pain. The resort is very quiet which is nice. Hotel staff are friendly and most speak English well. The pool area is a good size and well maintained as are the gardens. The only real down side was the buffet breakfast as we found it a bit basic plus they didn't refill items once they ran out eg cereal and yoghurt. Overall we enjoyed staying at this resort and would recommend it if you can get it for a good price.
