Cleaning services every day fresh clean rooms, friendly stuff, scooter rent was 100% sure with passport. Bad thing only you can swim in hotel pool from 7am till 7pm.

The bathroom was too small. Shower was not separate from the toilet...towel rack was loose and small. A lot of standard amenities nit available. It was not the standard of a 4 star hotel. Standard of cleanliness was poor. Staff were not attentive, prompt and quite unresponsive. The room was not part of the main hotel building so had to cross the main road each time for reception or breakfast. Room was far too high on the cliff. Hotel had no shops or restaurants near by and had very limited shuttle service to the beach/market area. They were very stingy with the complimentary items.

Good, views were great ,service and our stay was good .great breakfast. very difficult to get to room with out the help of staff providing a vehicle, very steep climb. traffic crazy .

While the pictures on the website were at the resort they were from very specific locations and raised expectations of overall impressions. This led to disappointment about the actual location of the ‘villa’ accommodation and the condition of the rooms. We had a lot of water come into the room during heavy rain - they provided a towel to deal with it. : (

The hotel has an amazing view. But the service was not good starting at check in to trying to get any services like room service. The restaurant was horrible the one night we went for dinner it took over an hour to get served after we ordered and when we got the food it wasn't cooked and we could see the food had been sitting under heat lamps for a long time.

Quiet Hotel
Hotel in a nice setting and around a 5 minute taxi (300B) from both papong and Karon beach/nightlife. Wouldn’t recommend walking as steep banks with no paths etc. All in All pleasing Hotel for what we paid.

Lovely hotel in a amazing setting
This hotel ticked the boxes for ambiance and settings. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the location along with the hotel itself. The hotel is split into two sections and we were however across a busy road but they do supply a buggy if you wish to be collected and not try to take on the highway crossing. The grounds were spectacular along with the views and the pools were wonderful as well. A few km's out of the heart of Karon and Patong but the free shuttle makes that a easy trip with a tuk tuk costing only a few dollars if you wish to venture during the non shuttle time. Would go back again in a heartbeat

Rude staff.
Rude staff. No apology or refund for hotel shuttle not collecting us. Refused to honor the 10% food discount. Had to cross busy highway to get to room and restaurant. Had to wait long time and call twice for golf cart service up the cliff. 40 min wait to get served at restaurant. Reception staff rude and brush off if you need a taxi booked. Checking out allowed Chinese men to push in and literally step on me while I was in the middle of checking out, I had to then wait 25min until they finished checking them out. Restaurant advertised Thai food, but was Chinese to cater for their Chinese guests only. Restaurant prices more expensive than patong 5star hotels and restaurants. Nothing in walking distance, Very expensive and annoying to negotiate taxi or tuk tuck multiple times a day. Resort only does one shuttle per day to beach.

Great Staff Except One
We had a nice stay in a room with a lovely view. Breakfasts were fantastic as was the view. All staff except one , I think her name was Pat, was pleasant and very accommodating. Pat made our lives miserable in every interaction. We avoided her as much as possible. Ga and her pregnant colleague were beyond wonderful.

Quiet with outstanding views.
Hotel was very nice. Food in dining room was sub-par. Western food was poorly prepared and never hot. This hotel is as the name suggests; on a cliff. Fabulous views but almost all rooms require a golf cart to shuttle you around. Staff was excellent. A perfect location offering options for beautiful Karon beach and nightlife in Patong.

Beautiful view, pool & reception area. Our bathroom had a few things wrong with it (door knob came off, toilet didn't flush properly & hot water came on boiling then went cold. The area is great for a quiet get away & 15 min drive (~300 baht) to Patong. Buffet breakfast & free shuttle were great.

This was my 3rd time staying at the secret cliff. Staff are very helpful and rooms were kept very tidy. Would highly recommend!

Great Location
This is a nice Hotel, set in a great location but disappointing. On arrival, after being greeted by two helpful porters, we were met by a surly female receptionist. No hello, just name,credit card and told to sit and wait. We knew we would not be able to check in until 2pm so, went and had a drink at the bar. From here you have a great view of Karon Beach. We were taken to our room via a golf buggy as it was on the opposite side of the road, a very nice touch. Our room was nice, clean had a reasonable view of the sea except for the corrugated roof but we were happy enough. A few days into our 10 night stay, on going for breakfast we discovered there was very little food. When we asked, we were told more was on the way so, we had our coffee and waited. In total, we waited over 30 minutes but nothing arrived. At reception, we asked for an explanation. This was met with distain until we requested to see the Manager. Again, he was dismissive but finally agreed to give us lunch later in the day. Last comment concerns an extra guest. On returning we told the Porter about our guest. Thinking, they had our card details this would not be a problem. It was like world war three with phone calls and visits to the room demanding immediate payment. Very unprofessional and in the end our guest decided not to stay, we still had to pay. On arrival you signed a form giving authorisation for extras including guests, hence our disappointment. Nice hotel but sadly, we would not return

Enjoyable stay
Wonderful view from the restaurant and an excellent choice of Thai and western food at breakfast Beautiful gardens Room was clean and comfortable, even had a beach bag for your use. Excellent value for the deal we had. Happy to visit again Read the location as the hotel is as the name suggests, cliff top! Own transport is recommended which you need anyway to enjoy the island s full potential

•When we check in we had no hot water and I had to organise someone to come set it up for us. • We asked of one double bed when we arrived there was 2 single beds we pushed them together ourselves but this made our sleep very uncomfortable. •The walls are dirty with what looks like food or vomit on them. •We couldn't use the towel rack because it looks like it's about to fall off the wall. •The toilet water leaked out all day everyday. Very unhealthy. •We had no power for one hole day and was not offered any compensation. •We had no tv for one hole day and again was not offered any compensation. •The beds are very hard and uncomfortable.

An old and tired hotel
When I booked this hotel I was looking forward to a nice property. I was disappointed. The room was old and tired. The bathroom had hand prints on the wall. The toilet didn't work. The internet was unreliable and inconsistent. I would have to call the front desk up to 4 times to get a problem fixed. I am normally not a problem guest, but I ran into recurring problems. The location was not good, as you had to cross a major highway to get to the front desk, which was a bit dangerous. The ocean views were distant and included electric lines. I would not stay there again. There are better places for less money and better value.

Great hotel and friendly staff
This was my 3rd visit to the secret cliff and I absolutely love it. Staff are friendly, facilities are great and also a great location. Your not in the busy area of Patong but yet its only a 5min taxi. Will definitely be back next year!

If we had paid full price for this place we would probably have complained and left, it isn't up to standards. We managed to get a last minute deal so we weren't as bothered. Hotel is 90% Chinese tourists, and we found them to be very rude and loud. Pool is small and crowded, I caught a man actually taking photos of me whilst I was in there so I didn't go again. There are ants everywhere that bite, they even managed to get into the bed.

I was with my Fiancee for a short holiday. It was a great choice that we booked in Secret Cliff Villa. The food was excellent, staff are accommodating, efficient service. The pool is fantastic. What i like most is that its vicinity its almost near to the beach and the shopping area. I will definetely recommend this hotel and will be booking the same hotel when we visit phuket again.

Incredible view of the ocean. However, the deluxe suits are extremely noisy. You hear every movement that happens at the restaurant above, which starts at about 6:30am when breakfast starts...and ends at around 12 midnight. So Good Luck. We stayed at room 149...

this was nothing as described, we had to find a new hotel after 9pm on our last night - it was awful! This was awful - the photos made this place look incredible so we increased our budget and booked our last night holiday here. When we got there, looked amazing, reception was gorgeous, restaurant looked lovely, then we were asked to hop in the golf cart to go to our sea view villa....the golf cart then crossed the busy high way into a dodgy property behind a wrestling ring. we were led to our "villa" which was the most minimal box room you could imagine, the decor seemingly not updated since the 60s and the bathroom was a hand shower attached to the wall with a basin and toilet, no actual fitted shower. the room was tiny, the balcony old, dirty and gross. The sea view? If you call tiny spots of blue you can hardly glimpse through the wall of trees just over the dirty rows of roof tops a sea view... then it might tick your box, but it was nothing like the listing. We complained and were offered an "upgrade" which was to a room exactly the same but with twin beds instead of our requested king??? Completely unimpressed. We were fortunately fully refunded and managed to find another hotel at 9:30pm thank goodness. The room was booked through Expedia which is where the incorrect description was, where they apparently never made it clear that this resort has 2 different sections, nice like the photos, and really bad without photos.... make sure you check which one you're getting.

Really good, perfect for the price, the people working there are very nice. Good service. Good breakfast, the restaurant was really good as well. The only one negative thing I would say, is the road because it gets a bit busy sometimes. But overall, it was perfect for the price.

Friendly staff. Resort needs tidying up. Rooms clean and staff helpful. Courtesy bus only runs twice per day to Karon and Patong. Taxi and tuktuks cost around 200 Baht one way.

no access to hotel on foot.
Firstly,the hotel is very secluded and cannot be got to by foot,you need a taxi everytime you leave or ideally rent a scotter.also its very very steep getting from your room to the main reception and the complex is seperated by the main coastal road,making it very difficult to gain access to either side.some breathtaking views especially round the dining area and pool,although the later was having a refurb during our stay,which meant a lot of noise and the place looking like a building site at times.rooms where big and clean,although looking a bit dated.

We stayed in 2 Seaview rooms across the road from the main reception. Above bush and trees, so peeks of a bit of the sea, but nice to wake up to. Golf cart shuttles could be called to drive us down, or the walk down was short. Its on a main road into Karon, so crossing the road sometimes was harder. Unfortunately some construction going on, (property upgrades? Nov 2015) so a little noisy, and we had to step thru muddy dirt and straight into our clean rooms. Otherwise comfortable. Restaurant is well located to see the whole of karon beach :)

There arent enough words to express the incredible experience we had with Secret Cliff. The staff were beyond helpful and friendly! They made a huge impact on us. The hotel situation was 20/10.. spectacular! Seeing is believing so i highly reccomend them. YOU.WILL.NOT.BE.DISAPPOINTED! P.s you must try the boiled banana in coconut cream for dessert ;) breakfast was delish.

Night mare on cliff top
arrived hotel advised us they did not have our reservation put us into a golf buggy and took us across the road up a big hill wallked down 3 flights of stairs down a steep hill with no hand rails expected us to walk down a muddy path and entered a room which was just so small i couldn't believe my eyes we rejected the room and went back to reception and advised room and access to room was a joke they offered no solution .thank goodness hotels . com operator sorted out another hotel for us
