Maid tried to claim my room at 945am. Told them to come back later. I left room at 10am. Put up please make up room sign. When I came back at 11pm. Room was not cleaned. Most of the staff couldn't speak English. Breakfast was not great. Would rate this a 3 star hotel

High view and top seclusion
Our second stay at The AspasIa was just as luxurious as the first time when we were amazed by the views from the large full height patio doors and furnished balcony over the Andaman. Sounds of jungle below in the morning is something not to miss. Very friendly and helpful staff who brings a smile to all. Simply perfect !

Excellent resort
Huge suite's with big balcony and fully fitted kitchen, friendly staff, reasonable breakfast, beautiful view over jungle and sea. Got an upgrade from deluxe seaview to 1 bedroom suite without asking for it. Very good value for money (in July that is). Stayed 5 days longer than initially planned. Only minus is the steep climb to the hotel.

Massive rooms with ocean view
We had a 3 night stopover between flights. The suite was amazing. 'Milk' at the front desk was wonderful, she went above & beyond call of duty to assist us, thanks again so much Milk. Access to most rooms requires negotiating lots of stairs, and hotel location is on a very steep hill so not ideal for elderly or disabled. The hotel is showing its age, with a makeover it could be amazing!

This hotel was better than my expectation.
This was one of the best Resort/ Hotel that I have ever stayed at. The staff and the location of was the best. The people was so helpful in helping me plan my activity. I can't stop talking about how GOOD the view and the people at this Resort was. This was the best Birthday/Vacation I have ever had and that was because of the STAFF kindness and addressing any question that I had. The people at the front desk and their Staff made this possible.

Nice place to get back to after a day of touring
Initially, we were looking for a nice comfortable, intimate place to stay. However, not spend all day in the hotel. And so we found it!! Spacious, great view, comfortable, furnished, has everything you need for rest and relaxation. Helpful staff, welcoming and warm atmosphere.

This was our second stay at The Aspasia and we were in a Deluxe Garden View Room. I was again pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. It was huge. The pool area is really nice and the breakfast menu is plentiful. Maybe not as big or varied as what you might expect at a larger resort but quite sufficient. We were again disappointed with the Reception staff. On arrival I don't think we were even able to manage a smile from the lady on reception. We also then had an issue as we were going to go to The Boathouse Bar & Grill one night for my birthday and so my husband asked Reception two days before to make a booking for us. Needless to say we arrived for our dinner and no booking!!! :-( I was furious but luckily The Boathouse were able to accommodate us and provided us with a table. We will be coming back in August to Phuket and as much as we like the location of The Aspasia and their rooms, we are unsure if we will stay here again.

Great to stay in the resort to chill by pool view
I booked this using the Expedia phone service which was great. It takes around 1 hour to get there from the airport. Upon arrival we were greeted by super friendly staff and fresh coconut drinks (and a great view). Unfortunately the 'Garden View' room we booked was not available (not sure why), but they did 'upgrade' us to the 'Ocean View' - A much larger room, with great in room facilities and large bathroom. There was a water leak on the bathroom floor, and upon notification, staff were quick to address the issue. We pretty much stayed within the resort area, chilling out by the pool and enjoying the view as we were at the end of a scuba dive trip. I have a feeling it might be a fair walk from the resort area to the shops outside (if you wanted to explore and eat outside). Late check out was fantastic, and they will also organise a private driver to take you to the airport.

Nice cozy hotel
3 night stay to relax and rewind by the beach. Nice place we can recommend. A short walk from the hotel to the beach, was perfect for us, a bit away from the noise from the beache and nightlife. Just outside the hotel, a taxi place and motorbike rental made it easy to commute when we wanted. We got a perfect view from our room, seeing the see and beach as well as the nice flowers at the hotel.

This is a great place to stay. I know a lot of reviewers are complaining about the hill this hotel sits on and the walk down and up to get to the restaurants and such, but to us the view from above is truly amazing and worth it. Plus, when you get full of Thai food, the walk feels good!!! A very clean, large room with enough space for anything!!! Bigger than I ever expected!! Full size kitchen and fridge, great TV channels for ending the day while napping, great food and buffet... Nothing but positive thoughts about this hotel!!! Oh, and the shower?? Magnificent!!!! The wifi here was better than most other places we've stayed. I wish there had been a TV in the bedroom to fall asleep by, but that is no complaint, just a wish... We would stay here again in an instant...

Perfect Holiday, that couldn't have been better !!
I have been to Phuket 8 times this year; this was by far my best hotel!! The staff were friendly from the start, the room was perfect (although they did upgrade me to a 1 bed room suite overlooking the ocean) the rooms had a Jacuzzi and very large balcony, the room was very clean and comfortable. They daily breakfast was perfect; they had a small buffet, but a station you can order your eggs, pancakes.. ect that was doe to perfection. They did give me a complimentary dinner which was simple but hit the spot. The only negative if any was the distance to the beach, for me it was okay, 5min walk down the hill and you get to a very quiet beach (remember you need to walk up the hill to get back). Many vendors selling drinks, food and shade on the beach so it doesn’t really feel that you are away from the hotel. Plenty of food outlets around the beach are or on the opposite side. It’s very calming and relaxing holiday… which turned out to be perfect.

Good experience, may go back next time.
The overall experience is good. Nice & responsive staff, clean room, good sea view, convenient location (a few mins walk to kata beach). The hotel design is quite unique and beautiful as well. The only flaw is that the soundproofing is not that good. Two people from Hong Kong living next door kept making super loud annoying noises even after midnight.

10 days in Phuket
The hotel is a bit away from the main town, but we are in our 60's and walked it easy. It is quite close to the beach, but there is no access from the hotel to beach. Long way around. Not a hotel for children or infirmed, many stairs and pools have no barriers. If you should stand on the edge of the pool it is about a 100mt. drop into scrub.

Quite a hike up the hill, but we enjoyed the challenge. The hotel is awesome. Huge rooms, excellent breakfast, fabulous pool and stunning views. Short but steep walk to beaches resteraunts and shopping. Staff are very top notch and attentive.

well i gonna start with the good first if you are lucky enough just like us you ll get a wonderful sea view from the balcony breakfast buffet is really good the bad the hotel is on top of a hill.after a long day at the beach under a hammering sun it is very painful to get up there our room was on the 3rd floor so even more to climb because the hotel is in the middle of the jungle you can expect to get spiders (big one tarantula size) lizards, ants and other bugs in your room we got bitten every night waking up with big swollen bits all over our body the worst thing is that each room or apartment in the hotel is separated with a large wooden door you can hear absolutely everything from next door (tv,people chatting,stepping eating) our neighbor were up by 6am so we were awake too ive been complaining but the there is nothing the hotel can do about it i dont blame my neighbors as they were just enjoying their holidays and not noisy at all but that wooden door is so thin this is ridiculous and last but not least room service was done for us around 4/5pm

Lovely hotel, unusual designed, close to beach
Spacey large bedroom with a view to beach from balcony. Lovel bAtheoom but needs some updating. Wifi excellent. There were lots of steps everywhere and some area were bit dark, needs take care, not suitable for anyone with walking problem. Lovely breakfast buffet with a chef who will cook freshly of your choices from the board.

Beautiful tropical retreat.
Been here before and keep coming back. I love it here, it's a tropical retreat off the beaten track but still near to Katas nightlife. A big hill to acclimatise to but I hired cheap motor bikes from the hotel. Upgraded to sea view apartment and got room 1609 right on the lower pool. It was so quiet it was almost like having a private pool. I find spa treatments expensive, massage etc compared to the village of kata. Only ate breakfast here for a similar reason. The staff are always very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Only here 3 days as I stayed 3 days at the Pacific club resort and 5* Mandarava in Karon beach. Out of all of them I still much prefer Aspasia.

We booked two rooms - Sea View One Bedroom Suite and Seaview Room. The suites are actually in an adjoining residence called 'The Accenta' but are administered by Aphasia. We had significant problems with the A/C so after three days, they put us in another room - a Jacuzzi apartment, which was very comfortable. Generally, the service was very prompt and polite, the breakfast was very good quality too. The hotel is up a steep hill, five minutes down, 15 minutes up from the town!

Booked 3 sea view suites. The rooms were big, apartment-like. However, our "sea view" for 2 of the rooms were views of overgrown bushes and banana trees. You could not see the sea. The 3 room was actually at the Accenta next door with great view and infinity pool. I would recommend staying there instead because it looks like all of the room had excellent ocean view.

One of the largest guest rooms with views over kata beach, private terrace. Very private . Superb cooked breakfast. Really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and amazing value. Beautiful pool area. On a steep hill so getting back to the hotel can be a issue for some people.

The staff was incredibly nice and friendly always with a smile on their face! Food at the restaurant was good, specially for breakfast. Great views and nice quiet location on a hill next to the sea within a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. We will definately go back there when we get another chance to go back to thailand. This hotel was one of the main reasons why our stay in Phuket was so great, definately recommended!

Four days in the Aspasia and everyday I was delighted by the architectural beauty of the hotel and its location. I stayed in a '1 bedroom sea view suite'. The room was well designed - big bedroom, lovely shower, full kitchen, large lounge, and big balcony. I would have been happy to live there. Hotel facilities include two separate pool areas, gym, spa, and restaurant. I recommend the massages after a hard day relaxing. Breakfast facilities, buffet was OK. Im never a fan of hotel breakfasts and this one didn't change my point of view. But the view from the dining area did make it worth the trouble. The hotel is located high above the sea with forest between. Admittedly the sea view is minimal but I was happy. Its located a quick 10minute walk back down to the beach, or the other way, 10 minutes to Kate / Karon. A Big note for those who are a little unfit, the walk back up the hill is challenging. If your not up for the challenge get a taxi. Taxis around the Kata / Karon area costs 200BTH. Buses and taxis in the area make it easy to get around and there's plenty to do. First time to Phuket I went into Patong to see what I was missing. 500BTH and 10min in a taxi. Day time its a busy over developed tourist spot. Night time visited Bangla Road. GoGo bars and Beer Bars. It is pretty amazingly over the top. Glad I saw it. Glad I was staying elsewhere. The hotel is beautiful. The staff lovely. And the Kata / Karon area is busy enough to keep you interested with plenty to do.

Design fault in rooms = minimal sleep!!
Decent mid range hotel for thailand,good location for restaurants, shopping and entertainment and quiet during the evening. However the noise between rooms is unbearable! Had to move twice but the design of every room is such that there is a dividing wall (not just a dividing door!) Great if you have kids staying with you but a major inconvenience otherwise! So much so that my neighbours ensured I never slept later than 0630...not that they were having parties just the mere fact of them talking,coughing watching TV felt as if they were actually in my room it was that loud.

Friendly staff, good basic facilities and a very warm welcome makes u think 'Wow' I made an excellent decision but, your actual stay starts when u get to the room in my case: #1 We ordered a rollaway bed as we had our 2.5 years old with us but they said I'm gonna have to pay 1800baht for it, keep in mind I paid for rollaway bed at the time of booking to Expedia, they said we'll speak to expedia and give u a reply. Solution: After a few arguments n telling them that I'm going to ring Expedia I managed to get the bed for my little one, just over 24hours after we checked in. #2 There's no internet in the rooms, you will be lucky if you get the Internet in the room in fact very lucky. If you complain u get the standard answer we've passed your complaint to the IT manager. Solution: Their promised IT manager never bothered to turn up so there was no internet for my entire trip in the room. #3 There were so many Mosquitos in the room, they don't do anything about it. #4 Hotel is on a very steep hill I mean very steep. Overall it's a very average hotel do not expect anything outstanding. I must mention that the best thing about this hotel is "Breakfast" which was outstanding ...

Amazing view, great swimming pool, very nice breakfast. Perfect location: away from the noise but not far from the beach and main road. Located in a hill, so you will need a few walk or just rent a scooter/car.. The hotel provided everything we needed. Nice staff. Small gym to not miss the work out if you need. This hotel is not for children. I would recommend it and I would be back!

Very quiet. Away from party. But close to taxi to party. Great family or couples get away. Good beaches away from crowds. But overlooking beach, not on it. A cardio walk down and up a hill to get to it. Restaurants and store provisions nearby. Motorbike rent rental at hotel was the way to go. Great staff.

Hotel with huge suites and nice view
We came to spend xmas and new year in Phuket. The hotel provided a shuttle from the airport for acceptable rate. We had a nice welcome by the staff. The size of the suite was pretty amazing. And so was the view with flowers on the roof garden and the sea beyond the garden view. We have decided to walk down to the shore. The choices were to go around down the road or by the trail from the hotel. We have decided to take the trail. It is not the hotel's fault but once you leave the hotel's property, the 200 or so meter walk to the beach leads thru some trashy areas with thrown away Styrofoam plates. Back in the hotel we were surprised by the lack of sound insulation between the units that has doors to the adjacent one. We could hear everything from next door. We were warned ahead of time that there will be a compulsory new year's evening dinner. I thought that 150 Euros/person is a bit high, but I accepted it as part of the deal. Well, first avail, I disagree with forcing the guests to celebrate, but if one is forced, at least one would expect the money's worth. At 11:15PM the firework has started. When it was over after about 10 minutes we have turned around and we noticed that our chairs were already being stacked and all the tables were rid of covers. This was half an hour before midnight! Anyways the hotel was nice and away from the noisy traffic. But I would look for another hotel next time with direct access to the beach.

Great Hotel - A Little Away From The Noise
Really liked this hotel, would make a great honeymoon retreat. Very spacious and comfortable room, well catered, breakfast was top notch. I had a 'garden view' which was nice, but I would recommend getting an 'ocean view' if you can as the view from up on the mountain is amazing! I was by myself visiting some friends and it seemed a bit of a waste to have all this space just to myself.

Spectacular view
I am traveling around Southeast Asia with my daughter. We stayed at the hotel only one night, they up grade us and give a suite with a spectacular view. The hotel has an excellent location and in a peaceful area, the staff very friendly. We hardly recommend it.

Nice hotel and good food. Breakfast was provided with small buffet and menu to order from. Food off menu didn't quite represent the description. Overall food was good however at dinner they forgot my son's order, and was rushed to be cooked and arrived after we had finished. He got sick the next day and we felt that may have caused it. Service from waiter Tom and receptionist Joliza(?) Are very nice and helpful. Staff were fantastic. Room was a but run down and the aircon was too noisy to run and night and rooms become very hot without it on.

Excellent Hotel in a Great Location
Excellent hotel overlooking Karen Beach, depending on the tide the beach can be accessed directly from the hotel (as you have to cross a small creek). The staff are excellent and the rooms are very clean and comfortable although a little tired. The hotel has two pools which face south and catch the sun for most of the day; sun-loungers positioned around the pool and offer either loads of sun or plenty of shade. Meals were held under-cover with views of the beach. Breakfast was good although the selection was a little limited, possibly because we were there in low season and there were only a few guests. We had one evening meal in the hotel which was excellent.

Nice hotel away from the crowds
The hotel was very nice and could be really top notch with little effort. The rooms require maintenance and the experience I had was that the air conditioning didn't work, sinks and tiles chipped and generally a worn appearance. First day walked down to the beach via the stairs to end up in ankle deep mud! A little effort and this would be fantastic to get into the beautiful Kata beach.
