Not Children FriendlyPosted Nov 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Unfortunately we were mislead about this place. How it can be called a resort is beyond us. It has minimal facilities and is very difficult to navigate with an infant in a stroller. Upon arrival we were told that "there was an arrangement with the hotel next door for access to the kids club so 'noisy kids' would not be heard at the Chava" Hardly family friendly or welcoming. The hotel is located away from the beach which is not accessible for a stroller. SInce we only arrived late afternoon we had to stay for one night out of a planned 4 and spent half of the next day seeking alternative accommodation. Not a relaxing way to start a break in beautiful Phuket.

Chava ResortPosted May 13, 2010 on Hotels.com
This was an absolutely gorgeous resort with very spacious apartments and wonderful staff. The hotel is conviniently located by the shops and restaurants and a very short walk to the beach. I absolutely loved my stay there.

Great spot for a quiet, family holidayPosted Nov 12, 2009
The Chava Resort is located near Surin Beach, smaller and much quieter than some of the more popular beach areas in Phuket. The beach and surrounding area offer a good selection of restaurants, masseuses, loungers, and activities like jetskis, parasailing, waterskiing, etc., but also a good spot to chill and enjoy the tranquility and pristine beach. Great if you've got small kids. The hotel is a short walk to the beach, across a small park. Some of the suites were still under construction, but the disruption was minimal. We were there at the end of low season (late October), so occupancy was very low. Service was great. Our unit was a 2 bed / 2 bath apartment, with full kitchen, liviing and dining rooms, laundry, and our own plunge pool. Again, great for a family. Overall the hotel facilities were nice but not extensive. Only complaint: no on-site gym, although you can use the facilities at a neighbouring hotel for a daily fee. Better yet, just go for a swim and a walk on the beach.

Will be backPosted Nov 7, 2009
Had a fantastic time at The Chava. Stayed in 4 different hotels during our stay in Phuket. This one was by far the best, and we will come back again.

A home away from homePosted Jan 31, 2009 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very comfortable. The staff are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The surin beach is a short easy walk away, and has a large number of chairs and umbrellas to rent, and places to eat. We will certainly go back.
