Hotel is in very central area. I would stay here again. They only downside is the shower has very weak water pressure and the window in the room has very little sunlight because it opens onto an alley way.

The only thing I like is the location of he property. Unfortunately all other services such as hotel reception, pool, gym, restaurant etc. are located across the road at the other hotel; i.e. The GIG Hotel. This should be properly communicated!

Great location and average room with problems.
Hotel is in great location. Easy walking distance to Bangla Road and the beach. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Can hear any noise in the hallway and there was a lot. Shower had some mold/mildew in between some wall tiles. Air con control was not adjustable. Full blast cold or had to turn off when room was freezing. Ate at Gig Hotel buffet breakfast (across the street and part of same hotel complex where the front desk is located). Got sick and felt bad all day.

The hotel has two name GIG and GU Hotel, which is confusing. Essential things like toothbrush not provided. Very good thing was that the hotel near bangla road and patong beach. The hotel below have massage and surrounded by restaurant

Great hotel, it’s owned and operated by GIG hotel, just opposite the GIG hotel. Great Staff , attend to your needs promptly. Sauna, Swimming pool and decent gym. 2 mins walk to Bangla, but quite inside. Overall will stay here again. I even used their swimming pool and sauna services after checking out. Also checked me in early with no extra cost in the peak season.

Best hotel that ive ever stayed in thailand
Excellent hotel I was really surprised when I got to the hotel staff where so nice and friendly on check in got my key and my dream vacation started at the gu hotel.the gig is there main hotel and gu is just a short few steps across from each other. The highlights of my vacation was the gym and the pool on the roof which has such amazing views across patong beach and the nightlife area.in my opinion if your thinking of the staying in patong/bangla area try the gig/gu hotel you wont be disappointed what a fabulous hotel and a very well trained hotel staff always smileing and happy.

No no no!!
The one and only good thing about this hotel staff was the tour/ticket lsfy who is amazing! The phone, tv, shower all didnt work properly ir at all. The sheets were in fact dirty. The desk staff is not only incompetent but just lazy and rude. I stay at hotels in Phuket and atound tmThailand at least teo months every yesr and this is the secibd worst stay ever.

Very bad hotel not worth the money
My wife and I checked in and noticed right away that they had not cleaned the room. The pillows smelled like sweat and the room was very small. My wife complained to the staff and they changed our room. For over $100 a night it is not worth the money. The free WiFi is terrible. We went to Starbucks every day to use our laptops because we could not get online inside the hotel. Three years ago we stayed at this hotel and it was great but not now. Also there are a lot of people yelling on each floor until about 5:30 am from drinking and the hotel says nothing. Do yourself a favor and check around before you book at this hotel.

Great hotel
The best 3 star hotel I have ever staye in, position was perfect , walking distance to shopping centre, to Bangla rd, many restaurants and bars, but not too loud with music during the night, as everything doesn't close until the early mornings. Amazing pool and sauna. Super helpfull and friendly staff, don't be fooled buy the cheap price highly recommend to anyone

They are stealing!
The room had a window with a wiew to another window - 1 meter away. The pool is NOT in the same building! The worst: The maid is stealing!! When I checked out, I forgot 1 liter of White Bacardi Rum, and 2 x 1,5 litre bottles of Cocacola zero. The manager looked in to it after my second return to the hotel(forst return was the same day I was missing my bottles). The room was still free and the bottles was gone after the maid had cleaned the room(in so many ways). When I returned the 3. time, the reseption had 2 bottles of coconut oil(?????) for me! What?? This is the worst hotel. NEVER book this!! And another thing: They charge 1000Bath for guests that haven`t been registred at check in. What other hotel in Patong would do that?

Decent hotel, excellent location.
The WE hotel is a budget extension of the much nicer GIG hotel. You even check into the WE at the front desk of the GIG hotel. This means, all the amenities of the GIG come with your WE stay.. however, the rooms are vastly different. Personally, it was fine for me.. however, I was expecting a nice mattress to sleep on, and the mattress I had could be confused with an oak table. Hard, unyielding, and gives sleeping pleasure to no one with a pulse. Other than that - the food was good, the electrical outlets compatible with euro & US power adapters, the location was central and the gigs amenities (other than the bed) were very nice for a 3 star hotel half a block from Bangla Rd.

Great spot , not far from everything, room was cleaned spotless everyday,the use of the pool and facilities of the Gig Hotel was fantastic. We the staff were exceptional and accomodating , will go back again as this was my 3rd time at the We Hotel and will recomend to my freinds!

The hotel is conveniently located. Not far to shopping (10 min walk), close to nite life but far enough away as not to be too loud. Close to restaurants.

Stayed 02-Jun-2015 3-nights in Deluxe room 703. (Good experience from previous stay in May-2014 when checking out, coincidently from the same room, a massive powercut hit the whole sub-district. The porter carried our 3-bags down 7 flights of stairs for us). Large, well furnished room with electronic key-card entry. Good shower & bath. Swam in the rooftop pool. Stayed here to do Thai boxing at the nearby Nitah gym (as last year), however it had since closed down. Good night market 5-minutes walk one way, nightlife 5-minutes the other way. Good selection for breakfast, with chef for eggs, however one day they did begin to clear away breakfast but re-instated everything when I arrived at 10:10am. Only a tiny balcony for drying wet clothes, no room for sitting. Late checkout, even 1-hour has to be paid for.

As a hotel manager, I could not believe that this hotel had no Irons or Iron boards on offer to guest. and when calling the front desk for extra hangers, the answer was straight "No extra hangers allowed" .... seriously! Overall the staff was friendly and helpful but do not expect anyone to speak English. I asked front desk three days in a row to speak to the hotel general manager, he was in hiding......

Hotel is located very close to walking street and patong beach. Staff is trained to charge exhorbitantly high from tourist and making calculation errors. Be careful to get your deposit back from the staff. They denied us to return our deposit with reasons that we are checking out 1 hour late and so our 500 baht deposit is forefieited.

Top notch Hotel and staff definitely stay again
Excellent hotel,everything i was expecting,very clean,extremely friendly staff and excellent location for me,in the middle of where I wanted to be,a short walk to Bangla road or a short walk to the quieter and more relaxing bars on Nanai road,jungceylon just a short hop away as was banzaan market,ideally located and no need to rent a Motorcycle..highly recommend it

location plus superior rooms equal good choice.
Great location . The hotel is divided in two blocks one for standard room, the other for superior. The difference exists. Still the standard rooms are ok..some renovations right now. Should be really good in a couple of months. For the price good ratio.
