“Great views and well appointed”

I stayed for the first time after several visits to Phuket and was very impressed with this boutique hotel on the hillside overlooking the Andaman ocean. The staff is very friendly (as all Thai's are) and although it is on a hill, they have a buggy that picks you up from your hilltop room or from the lobby before you can blink. Local Thais are in the park near the ocean at night and you can hear fireworks but it is not obtrusive. A great place to stay for a couple or family. The pool is great as well. Suggest having a rent a car to get to other areas of Phuket if you need to. Would absolutely stay there again without hesitation.

“Great stay at Ayara”

My husband and I went to Phuket for a long Easter weekend to unwind at the beach. I honestly don't have enough good words to say about this hotel. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety to suit any taste. The staff were gracious and attentive to our every need. There is a buggy service to take you up and down the steep hill to the beach - never did we even wait two minutes for them to arrive after we phoned. Every suite has its own jacuzzi on the balcony. Surin beach is peaceful and uncrowded with many lovely places to dine. Thumbs up all around.

Extremely friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure our needs were met and our stay was wonderful . Rooms where secluded and luxurious. Surin a much quiter option to Patong.

“Great Resort”

It is a lovely resort. Even the basic suites are enormous and the views are terrific. Lots of steps up to the rooms but you can get a lift if you are feeling lazy. Otherwise why not walk and use up some of the calories from the wonderful breakfast?! Beach is close by and a buggy service takes you there. Nice beach but sun umbrellas could do with renewal (resort doesn't own these, it is a beach club). Lots of good local restaurants there as well.

“Fantastic service, accomodation and value for money”

Spent a fantastic week at Ayara Hilltops in November 2010. The service was perfection and the rooms (courtyard sea view) were amazing. Everything in the room/bathroom/courtyard was clean and and appeared new. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, cheaper and better quality than other Hotels visited. The service and food was so good that we ate in on a few occassions. Be prepared for steps up to your room and a walk to the beach (which is sandy and not too busy) although a cart is only a few minutes away to take you. Overall a relaxing stay in real luxury, well worth spending a little extra to stay here.

“A wonderful experience”

The suite was big and comfortable. The outdoor tub was a very romantic feature of the room. The staff was friendly and service was excellent.

“Superior Service, Fantastic Facilities in Beautiful Location”

The staff at Ayara were friendly and welcoming and took a genuine interest in my holiday experience. The room was beautifully appointed, well maintained, clean and much more than I expected. Fresh flowers, fruit and little parcels of biscuits left on the pillow and a bottle of champagne on second last night all made the experience more memorable. The location of the hotel to Surin Beach, one of Phukets most beautiful, is another reason why I would go back and recommend it to my friends.

“Excellent Option on Phuket”

The rooms are beautiful, quiet and quite comfortable. Surin Beach, down the hill from the hotel, is a quick 1-2 minute shuttle ride away. The beach is simply stunning. If you want to relax, this is the place for you. The insanity, crowds and noise of Bangla Beach are far enough away - 20 minutes by cab. If you want to go you can, but you can certainly avoid it. Downsides: service is well meaning but a bit slow and the internet access can be sketchy. There are quite a lot of stairs between the lobby and the rooms, so if handicapped access is an issue for you this hotel is not a good option. Bottom line: we highly recommend if you are looking for a tranquil spot to unwind.

“If you need to relax - this is the boutique resort for you”

This was our second stay at Hilltops and I'm happy to say the staff, service and amenities are still excellent. The gardens are very well maintained as is the pool area - although I think it might be time to buy some new fluffy pool towels! The pool area is very relaxing. Most rooms have a spa on the balcony which is great after a day at the pool or a trip to the beach - make sure you visit Laem Singh beach close by. We normally stay at 3 different hotels when travelling to Thailand and the breakfast at Hilltops is a little short of variety however the eggs which are cooked at your request are fantastic as is the bread they just need to work on their hot food assortment and perhaps include bran and natural yoghurt in their cold section. The have a great gym. The business centre is very out dated and I think its time the computer screens where updated but in saying that the internet is free of charge. Overall we would totally recommend this resort to anyone who needs to unwind in a very short period of time, who don't have children and enjoy the finer things life has to offer. We will definately be back!
