“Yigit”
Nice hotel, with beautiful beach Small complimentary services was lacking for this level Like picking up from airport and lifting back... In general, transportation is a way of "lets take more more money from these guys" method. Shouldn't need this "clever" approach... Shame on Le Meridien...
“excellent spot for those who want to chill out in the hotel and beach altho drinks+ food over priced”
lovely location and beach but hotel transport costs and isolation make it expensive to 'escape' which is necessary as drinks and food at hotel are over priced...I expect hotel prices to b higher but I am sorry to say the 'add on' costs here are way 'over the top' ..this includes i/net in rooms..drinks..food..transport* telephone..mini bar.....parts of the hotel are dated but maintenance and service levels are hi..I would not go back ( this was my 2nd stay) as there are far better options now in Phuket... it has become popular with Russians and I believe this has also lead to some of the over pricing....recently dropped out of the Le Meridien Hotel management group and altho still recognising SPG(Starwood) it no longer recognises Priviledge membership...
“A dream resort in the heart of Phuket”
It was simply an amazing experience for the entire family!
“We'll be back for our 3rd trip to phuket and Le Meridiem. Fantastic!!!”
Excellent Hotel and the people wonderful
“Great Hotel”
We had a week's stay at the hotel. Good facilities, nice room, recently refurbished. The large pool area is worth a visit alone. The beach was ideal, clean, white sand, safe for swimming. The staff are polite and happy to serve. There are a number of small shops in the complex but they're expensive. The only drawback for us was having to take a taxi or mini-bus to get into either Patong or Karon, its too far out for walking. Even if you decide to walk there are no paths/pavements making it unsafe.
“The perfect Phuket hotel”
This hotel is great, the new rooms are good the service excellent. It is just far enough away from the 'delights' of Patong that you dont even know its there...but if you wish to vist then its a short 200B taxi ride away. The free wireless in the public areas is fast and reliable, just wish there was wireless in the rooms too, only pay for use wired in the rooms. We had one problem on our stay, with the AC...it was fixed in 10 mins from a telephone call....excellent service.
“Lovely Resort and Grounds, but Old Rooms”
Le Meriden is a very nice hotel and resort. There are 5 pools, perfect beach access to their private beach, 10 restaurants and lots of activities for guests to do everyday, for both children and adults. I especially liked the 3 times daily fitness classes. Te staff is very friendly and helpful. The only negative to our experience was that the buildings themselves are quite old and could use an update.
“Great Beach”
Great beach right at the resort (many you have to go across the street to a public beach).... great food, beautiful resort. A bit exspensive for the area but worth it compared to other hotels. Dinner and show every night. And plenty of different food choices, italian, seafood, Thai, Japanese, French... the spa was great (highly recommend). Overall great experience.
“Excellent location”
Excellent location. Definitely would go back to the same hotel.
“Short but Awesome Stay”
The taxi ride to the hotel from the airport was about an hour long. My wife and I couldn't stop smiling after we saw the hotel's sign. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They actually made travel arrangements for us to get to our next hotel which required a couple of rides by coach, a flight, and a trip by speed boat. They also made our reservations for a boat trip out to Koh Phi Phi. The restaurants on site were all great. Breakfast was complimentary and they had two separate buffets for you to choose from. The dinner buffet had a nice selection of western and traditional Thai dishes. We were very satisfied. We also ate at one of the small restaurants that was walking distance from the hotel and it was delicious. The price was also very affordable and much less than restaurants in the hotel. My wife and I also got traditional Thai and foot massages near the restaurant. My wife and I took $40 and were able to pay for dinner and massages. The resort has a private beach with powder soft sand. It was simply gorgeous. Free wi-fi was offered in the lobby at one hour increments. We were only on Phuket/Patong for a three days, but our stay at Le Meridien was extremely pleasant. The facilities are a bit dated, but have a ton of charm and character. We would definitely recommend this place. Patong would have been a bit much for us, so we were more than happy to be a 5 minute cab ride from the neon lights and swanky bars.
