“Worth considering if staying in Patong”

Great Hotel, good staff, 10 min max to the main entertainment area of Patong, but taxi etc are plentiful.

“a must stay if you are looking for a good hotel, great room, yummy breakfast and aamazing pool”

we were so excited to arrive in phuket and most impressed when we arrived at the resort. it is in a good spot away from the hussle and bussle and at the start of patong beach! service, food, room, pool were alll great and i would stay there again. breakfast was fresh, delicious and all staff were more than accomodating on doing anything asked! not alot of children when we travelled so great for honeymooners!

“Great Stay”

The Paragon Resort was a great pick, lovely rooms with lots of space, very comfortable pillows and beds. Staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is close to the beach but quite a walk from Bangla Rd and main shopping areas, tuk tuks and taxis are readily available though. This would be one reason why I wouldnt stay here again, not so convenient. Theres still lots of good cheap food available around the hotel, along with 7 - 11s and massage places. One handy thing was they have a shuttle bus to drop you off at the main shopping area, near the JungCeylon, operates 3 times a day. Another reason I would not stay here is because they do not have an iron and ironboard for guests to use, they expect you to send it to the hotel laundry for pressing...this is quire costly. The laundries around the hotel said they dont just iron, you have to wash and iron! Also they advertise free WiFi in the rooms but it does not come with Expedia rate, this had to be bought, was quite dear for internet in rooms. Overall a lovely place to stay.

“nice for 4 star hotel”

The hotel is good. I don't mind coming again The two minuses. 1. The hotel is a bit far from the center, 7-10 min by taxi. Pay more and get more centered hotel. 2. The hotel is not exactly on the beach you have to cross the main street. I think most of the hotels there are not on the beach

“Chinese NY in Phuket”

A solid four-star hotel. The lobby was clean and well maintained. The staff were pleasant, but the times that the room was serviced were a bit erratic - The maid came to repleniish the mini-bar at 6:30pm on one day, which wasn't really convenient for us. The room was huge, clean and nicely decorated, but the showerhead was broken which caused a random jet of water that was really quite annoying. The hotel is close to Patong beach, but not on the beach - There is a very busy road / roundabout that has to be crossed to get to the beach. 7 / 11 store and ATM just over the road were nice and convenient. Paid quite a lot for this short trip (3 nights) so expectations were high - Generally satisfied.

“not really impressed”

actually the hotel is very nice, but not located centrally in Patong (you need taxi or motorbike) and they charge for everything (loundry bag, broken body lotion bottle etc.) and there is some renovation going on the moment and so there was limited electricity during various days.

“HORRIBLE SERVICE”

The set up of the hotel and the facilities are up to standard; however, the actual service provided is shocking for a 4 and half star hotel. The staff at the hotel was slow and incompetent. We had to ask for things 3 times before anything was done about it. One of the days, after we had asked for our room to be made up TWICE, we found bird poo in our quilt cover (in a spot that was pretty hard to miss if you had been making the bed with your eyes open). Our actual bed was brick hard and so were the pillows and we stayed at the deluxe pool access-room, I can only imagine how much worst it would have been if we had stayed at a standard room. The food was terrible, whether it was room service food or food from the restaurant. We asked for peppermint tea one night and they only had one kind of tea available. Even a budget hotel has a wider selection of teas! Also the pool bar was frequently left unattended, we waited to be served for over 30 minutes once and decided not to bother again after that. On our last day we had to do some last minute shopping and advised reception that we might be a little bit late for check out (20 mins top) and they said it was all great and there was no problem. We came back to find our room had been locked, we were already running late to catch our flight and they took ages to check us out and provide us with a new key to have access to our luggage and everything less that we had left in the room!
