Pros: Staff were friendly.
Cons: Everything except staff.
Location: Nothing nearby. $10 trip to mall and they were 30 minutes late on pick-up time.
Unless you are broke, better to find an alternative to this hotel. Staff were friendly but wifi wasn't working and a trip to the mall was $10. Nothing nearby so you must go to mall in order to eat something.

The Airport Suites hotel is located near the airport, very convenient !!!! The room was nicer that we thought. Great swimming pool and quiet place.

Worst hotel ever

I booked this hotel on my arrival into Trinidad on a week trip to Tobago and for for my return travel to the U.S. in advance. I will never book a nonrefundable room again with Expedia. I'm terribly disappointed that Expedia even featured this hotel. The pictures are terribly misleading. The room was filthy. Worn thin carpet- the kind at bad sweaty gyms covered the room's floor; smudge marks of dirt and handprintd on the walls; the front door didn't even close properly with light from the hallway coming in. We had to hang clothes over the door to block the hall light. I've stayed in hostels, hotels in third world countries and beach camps and this takes the cake as the most rundown place I've ever stayed. The only thing good was that the stay was short and they offered a transfer to and from the hotel as part of the price. If I could cancel the room for the return portion I would- but I accidentally booked it nonrefundable. I'd rather lose the money and stay elsewhere than stay at this place on my return portion of the trip. I say this as someone who hates to waste $$$ more then anything!

Close to airport but very dated

Pros: Four minutes shuttle drive from airport, and in a quiet area.
Cons: All aspects of decor, and do all required maintenance.
This hotel was a former hospital or something like that. The rooms need a serious makeover, and some sorely needed maintenance as well. It had a bare light bulb in an old tiled ceiling for the main light fixture, garish bright yellow paint on the walls, a section of wall hiding pipes falling away in the bathroom, and a flimsy hollow core wood room door with a residential bedroom door lock. It's best features were the free shuttle to the airport, and that it was also very quiet. It's not real cheap either as would be expected for such a place. The beds were fairly comfortable and the towels were clean, white and fluffy.

We call another hotel and paid $975.00 out of our pocket. I was disappoint in Expedia for booking this hotel for us. We didn't feel safe walking outside of hotel. Stray dogs and strange looking people around the hotel. Hotel was located in run down area. I will call main office on Monday

You are basically getting a place to sleep. The room furniture is dated, had problems connecting to wifi and worst of all I found hairs in my sink. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and helpful. The shuttle service was good but I guess they were never trained formally to open doors and help with the luggage of guests.

This hotel is located close to the airport and has a nice outside pool and lounge area. The hotel staff( particularly the female attendant) were quite friendly and efficient and she went out of her way to address our needs. The meal was mediocre but substantial but required a 45 min wait. A wake up call and free transportation to and from the airport was a plus. The bed was quite large and comfortable with a small fridge and freezer and large window. The AC was quite efficient.

The airport shuttle arrived within ten minutes after calling for it to pick me up. Check in was quite the experience. My room was already paid for through Hotels.com, yet it still took twenty minutes to check in. Incompetence? Bad customer service? I don't know why it took so long. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and the airport shuttle the next morning was on time. I would definitely recommend this place if you need to stop in Trinidad overnight, but not as a vacation spot.

Clean and close to the airport but...

It does not fulfill the minimum comfort expectations of a frequent traveler. The staff is very attentive though. I stayed there as I was doing an overnight stopover on my way home, and for that might be enough if you want a cheap hotel, close to the airport and with its own shuttle to it. But that's it
