“Ramada not what it used to be”

Two rooms for black friday shopping. Both left a lot to be desired. One room had dirty socks under the couch from a previous customer. The other had continuously blinking lights in the bathroom and the refrig frozen shut. Lobby is still very beautiful but does not mirror what is going on in the rooms.

“Not Impressed”

We stayed during the Thanksgiving holiday and the majority of the hotel staff was on vacation as well. They should have closed if they did not have the staff to service the guests. For example, we could not get extra towels because no one was there to do laundry. They did not clean our room the second day because the cleaning crew was on vacation. The smoke detector's battery was low and had a continuous chirp. The front desk did not have any batteries so we had to remove it from the wall to get some sleep. Not to mention how dangerous it was to be in the room without one... If you did need something from the front desk you had to go down and get it yourself considering only one person was working. Lastly, the front desk workers had on street clothes so it was hard to tell if they were employees.

“Should have been better!!”

Pine Bluff is a rural town, a placeone just wants to visit but not stay there forever. There was a little mall for shopping, a few restaurants for dining, no crime, or bad experiences - again, nice place to visit. The hotel wasn't that bad either, at first appearance. However, once you closed the door behind you it left a lot to be desired, an awful lot. The staff didn't appear to care much when problems were reported. I encountered that leaky bathtub faucet another guest wrote about in their review of the hotel - only it had grown much worse by the time I got there. It leaked continually, and was quite disturbing. I reported it twice, and neither time caused the maintenance guys to come knocking at my door. I'm a relatively light sleeper, so it kept me awake all night. Reported it to Expedia and asked to have my money returned, but when they contacted the hotel to determine if in fact I had reported the problem - the hotel claimed they had no such complaint. It's not nice to distort the truth.

“Great Clerk bad hotel old dry cereal for breakfast. No hot breakfast as advertised. Very nice pool”

Night clerk was very nice and helpful. He really tried hard to o ergo E the condition of the hotel. It took 4 rooms before we got even close to what we reserved. The indoor pool was very nice The heating and a/c worked well and was quiet. The room was worn and dirty. The hotel store was reasonable priced. There was nothing fit to eat for breakfast even though a hot breakfast was advertised on Expedia! I give this hotel a 1 because of the night clerk that checked us in really worked to get us in the best room that matched our reservation.

“WOW”

For the rate this hotel charged, I was SHOCKED at the amenities and the overall value for the money. I would have expected and have paid 3-4 times this amount for the same type of setting. The staff was very friendly and the location, although just off the beaten path, was within minues of shopping and dining. Very safe location.

“Front Desk was an Angel--total hospitality!”

From the moment I walked in, "Angela" at the front desk took care of me as if I were a treasured guest. She made the stay wonderful. No one has ever taken better care of me anywhere (in 47 years of living & travelling) than Angela. ps. loved the clean, heated indoor pool. Wow! Awesome!

“Not Impressed”

The hotel was in a good location for my meeting. Room had ants present, asked front desk to have it sprayed, don't think it was because I still encounted ants daily around sink and refrigerator. Good rate for price but a lot to be desired................

“From bad to worse!”

The floor in front of the elevator was so sticky my shoes made that crunchy noise as I lifted them up. We got to the room to find that the pullout was in the same room as the bed which I had called the hotel before I made the resv. and was told that these two would be seperated. I thought we will just deal with it for now. We pulled out the sofabed and there in the middle of the filthy, ash ridden sheets was an old Twix candy bar wrapper! Nasty! So back down to the lobby we go. Seven rooms later one which had a blue-green slime like substance coming from the bathtub and leftover human feces in the toilet we got two rms which were cleaner but by no means clean. It was about 12:30 at that point. The next day before we left I marked all of the sheets and pillowcases with a red lipstick to see if they would change them while we were gone. We went to our rooms and I initiall checked my daughter's linens and found no red marks on the pillowcases and I felt relieved until.....my daughter pulled the sheet and comforter all the way down to the florr and there it was......the maid had taken the fitted sheet off the bed turned it so the more was on the opposite end not the upper right corner where I put it! That was it for me, I told them to pack it up and lets go! We had taken pictures of everthing and I made sure to let the manager( that they had to call on her cell at home) know this. The pictures that are posted do not reflect what this hotel really looks like. REALLY BAD!!!!

“great value here”

Hotel Review: I have seen reviews of this hotel that indicated excessive noice. I have stayed here 2 times now with no complaints. I can imagine if the motel was full and people partied alot, it may be so considering the open atriam with bar and swimming pool and rooms lining the area. It was quiet for me. The breakfast was very very good....hot food and very nice cook. Carpets and bedding were not very new but clean. I recommend this motel.
