We got married and wanted to spend a couple of days to relax (taking our honeymoon a few months later). We really had a great time! When we checked in and the front desk realized we had just got married, they sent us complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! It set the tone for a great couple of days. Although the weather was not conducive to any of the outdoor activities, we stayed occupied at the spa and restaurants. The spa was a bit pricey, but if you're looking for a relaxing time, I highly recommend it.
We were there on Sunday and Monday night, so we didn't get to enjoy some of the weekend specials at the restaurants. We had brunch and dinner at the hotel on Monday. They advertised a buffet, but since there weren't enough guests at the hotel, they only had a la carte. The food was good, but not having the buffet was a bit disappointing. The main restaurant was closed for dinner (also because there were so few guests), so dinner was served in the lounge. This was a blessing in disguise because the lounge was probably better... great food (esp prime rib!) and neat environment.
The room was nice... nice balcony, comfortable bed, large bathroom. Our only knock on the place was that we saw a live roach in our bathroom. The room was very clean otherwise, so it was a bit surprising to see that.
