Our first-floor apartment was at the corner of the building so we had fascinating views in two directions, both over water, of the quayside, the marina and the town near the entrance to it, the castle above the town, as well as of part of Tartini Square: all great for photos or people watching from your windows - never boring. It was also situated above a small square with markets and a simple bar/cafe with good coffee. The apartments belong to Hotel Piran, just round the corner, where you'll pick up the keys. Behind the hotel, but a little closer to the marina, you'll find a cafe/restaurant (theatre theme) with free internet computer and with terrace tables overlooking the water and the distant Croatian shoreline. One snooty gentleman from Hotel Piran left a lot to be desired but a female front-office staff member was very helpful. Tartini Square was less than a minute's walk away - plenty more people-watching - and the many waterfront restaurants were very close. The apartment was relatively modern, very clean and well-kept, and had everything we could have wanted including comfortable bed and armchairs, a good kitchen with plenty of space , and a fully functioning bathroom with excellent shower. Value for money.
