Overpriced for the amenities provided, but the service is solid. The breakfast - atmosphere, food and service - is the highlight of the stay. The great disappointment are the rooms: old, dated and without A/C, what made them little hells, specially after 11am. Mattress are not comfortable at all and might be a problem for people with back pain. The sea view is ok, but balcony furniture and size disappoints. The hotel also allows smokers on their balconies, what might be an issue for normal guests depending on the wind direction. There are no business room. For the price paid for the room, cheap toiletries in the bathroom provided and the lack of basic benefits like power adaptors (U.S. standard) are an insult. The Internet is surprisingly difficult to work in multiple devices and high speed broadband is charged on the side, when it should be included on the hotel's rate.

Hotel Piran
Hotel Piran is a quaint family friendly hotel. The staff is very helpful. The food in the restaurant was pretty good. We enjoyed our stay and wished we had spent more time there.

Perfect place to stay for a short trip. Very close to several restaurants and right on the water. You can walk out the door and jump into the ocean. The breakfast had a lot of options and a pretty view from the dining room.

Spectacular little hotel on the waterfront of the Adriatic. You can step out of the hotel and jump into the sea! Extra towels provided. Cuisine was top notch. Location was lovely - on a little peninsula where you leave you car behind and take a private Hotel Piran shuttle to the property. Very much a pedestrian-only town with lovely promenades only the sea walls....

Lovely hotel in a good location
Hotel was lovely and our room had a great view over the sea. The rooms with a balcony are just lovely to sit and admire the view. The staff are friendly and breakfast was good. It helps To know that all visitors park outside the centre of Piran in a parking garage … there is a shuttle that transfers hotel guests but We chose to walk (15/20 mins) there but shuttled when We left. Town itself is lovely.

Lovely hotel, great staff
Our stay was short but great! Staff were friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The hotel is lovely, right along the coast, the rooftop bar is a great bonus! The rooms are clean and we thought the air conditioning was just right even though some other reviews mention it was lacking. No parking near the property, but back up the hill in a parking garage. They provide a free transfer once you move your car to the garage but we would have liked to know to park at the garage before going all the way into town as it was quite hectic. Overall the stay was relaxing and lovely, the only comment for improvement is that none of our Gold Member perks were acknowledged during the stay (late/early check in if available, 10% discount on food/drinks and supposedly two free cocktails. It would be great to actually provide these perks or remove from the listing.

Great pre-arrival communication, easy & fast pick-up from parking graduate, very quick and excellent customer service at check-in…and they upgraded us to a sea view! Room was cute and comfortable apart from the temperature (heatwave stronger than AC). The amazing front desk got us a fan to use and it made all the difference. Best part - jump in sea before eating a delish breakfast overlooking the water. Recommended (with a fan when it’s hot). Also have a drink at the sunset bar at sunset.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We had a car and their shuttle service to the garage was so efficient and stress free. Their staff made us feel welcome, and even offered a complimentary iced tea. The location was absolutely perfect for swimming and going into town. Their breakfast was full of variety and was great tasting. We were in Slovenia three weeks touring all the major cities and would've stayed one more night here if I would have known how nice it would be. Oh ya, bonus points for rooftop bar too, that was excellent as well.

Amazing hotel with the best location!
The best location in piran, right on the sea!, lovely sized rooms, fresh and modern and the reception staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, we actually extended our stay from 2 to 3 nights as we did not want to leave. The food at the hotel Is also fantastic, amazing selection at breakfast, the a la carte lunch was fantastic and dinner was nice too.

Great location in the heart of Piran, nice atmosphere, friendly stuff. Breakfast was very good, at the terace 3-4m from the sea. Parking was at Fornače garage, daily fee 19Eur/ 24 hours - special price for guests of hotel. Shuttle bus was available without waiting, garage is 3-4 min driving from the hotel. Stay at hotel corresponded to our expectations.

The door opening into the bathroom is only 6’ tall. People over 6’ tall are at risk of hitting their head on door frame when entering or exiting bathroom.

Maintaining great hotel service traditions
The hotel staff treated us like old friends and valued customers even though we haven't been back in many years. Their priority during check-in was our comfort and letting us decompress and unwind before taking care of annoying things like parking the car (because Piran is pedestrianized, you have to park in a garage just out of town and have the hotel driver bring you back). You don't get that kind of service in a lot of places and you can tell that Hotel Piran understands that its guests are there to relax. Breakfast was wonderful each day, and the restaurant was excellent the one night we ate dinner at the hotel.

We found this to be an excellent choice of hotel in the beautiful town of Piran. All the hotel staff encountered were very friendly, helpful and efficient and made one feel individual and welcome. The sea-view room was definitely worth paying a little extra for. The buffet breakfast exceeded expectations with a wide variety of foods and drinks on offer.

This hotel is in the middle of the beautiful setting that is Piran's coastline, a short walk from the town center and also from the bus station. For our three-day stay, we travelled by bus from Ljubljana. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, printing bus schedules and directing us to sites around the city. The breakfasts were veritable feasts. One rainy night we opted to eat in the hotel restaurant; the food and the service were terrific. We will book this hotel again on any future visit to Piran.

Great stay in Piran
Excellent location right in Piran. The free shuttle was very convenient, given the restricted access via car to Piran. Reception was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was very good. It has excellent access to the Adriatic, with three piers to swim off behind the hotel. Sitting outside with a drink after a dip in the sea was wonderful. Great stay in Piran

Piran is a lovely little harbour. The hotel looked tired/a bit old fashioned though and parking is a car park 1km from the hotel so not at all handy, although there is a shuttle bus to take you there. The staff were very nice.

The hotel was perfect - fantastic staff & great location. 1) The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, particularly Nik on reception & Milan in the bar/restaurant. 2) The location immediately on the waterfront was perfect. We loved the rooftop bar although a couple of evenings it was closed to guests which was a shame. 3) Our room, although looking over a carpark, was huge & comfortable & when the windows were closed & the AC on we were not disturbed by street noise. 4) Breakfast was acceptable but lacking in variety. 5) The discount on parking & free bus transfer was great. The negatives were few…. 1) housekeeping the first couple of days we were there was unimpressive, but presumably the following days saw a staff member who took their job seriously as we had no complaints from that point. 2) Our room did not have a floor length mirror. 3) The bathroom was large but could do with hooks for towels & a hair-drier that is next to the mirror! Also having somewhere to hang swimsuits & damp beach towels would be appreciated. We loved the hotel & will definitely return.

Amazing location but hotel needs an update
The hotel is very well located, the room.had a beautiful view and is very authentic and charming hotel. However the room are a bit outdated and needs an update ( for example the door couldn't close, the phone didn't work, the tap was blocked...) Despite telling the hotel, it couldn't be fixed. If the rooms had a little update and refurbishment, it would be amazing!

This was one of the best stats I've ever had. The hotel is lovely, Piran is amazing, and the service was great. Special call out to Aida and Dom for being so kind and having great recommendations. The breakfast was excellent and the location couldn't be beat.

After bicycling from Trieste in 90 degree weather, it was pure magic to enter the lobby and see the Adriatic Sea immediately in front of us. The gentleman managing the front desk recommended that we immediately change into bathing suits and take a cool dip. We took his advice and had the most refreshing swim ever! The room was also perfect for us and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully arrange with a wide variety of choices. If you’re biking, they have a convenient bike room. Our only disappointment was not staying a second night. Great hotel!
