We chose the Scandic Rosendahl because it was close to the park where the Sauna Open Air Festival was taking place - it was just a short, 10 minute walk through a wood! If you're visiting Tampere itself, it's about a 15 minute walk to the centre. The hotel was perfectly comfortable. Good size rooms; comfy beds; nice buffet breakfast. The bathroom was a bit tired - fairly manky shower curtain, for example - but it was clean and functional. Overall, I'd recommend it - but if you're staying in Tampere, there are more central options.

Finn Rooms is next to Mango Hotel and is run by the same people. Finn rooms are a series of rooms off a main lounge. Some kitchen facilities are available (microwave, kettle etc). And showers and bathrooms are shared ( there are plenty). I wouldn't especially recommend for single female travellers as, at least for my 2 night stay) all other residents were male. My bedroom door did lock. Some hotel workers more helpful than others. About 15-20 min walk to town

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff was excellent. I took advantage of the great location to see many sights and the wonderful pool/sauna facilities at the hotel. The pool was not really large, but fine for a relaxing swim. It was a very family friendly hotel.
