The room was well equipped and the bed very comfortable. We had everything we needed in the room including kettle and tea making facilities. The hotel was very central and within easy walking distance of the leaning tower of Pizza and plenty of places to eat. Would consider returning in the future.

Over night stay
Due to flight delay arrived after 11pm. Hotel was locked up had to ring a number and eventually was given the code to get in. Key for room at a closed reception. Realised the next morning hotel had emailed me with instructions but that hadn’t come through night before. Beds not particularly comfortable. Room was very clean. Paid for breakfast but they didn’t have it noted but not a problem. Very small Buffett breakfast nothing explained to you just a lady watching your every move but didn’t help at all. Wasn’t even shown where to take to eat. Eating area cold and uninviting. Tables not set, looked unused. Left our luggage to explore when collecting asked where the toilet was told it was out of use said I was desperate nothing offered (surely there must have been an empty room). Pleased I was only staying one night.

Great value for money
Perfect spot for the Tower and other landmarks in the area, less than 10 minutes away, train station 25 mins away, restaurants etc on the doorstep more or less. The only negative point, the metal bed frame was so squeaky, to a point where you are trying to sleep in same position all night, to avoid waking up the whole hotel if turning around.

Just beside the leaning tower
Fantastic location, only a couple of minutes walk to the leaning tower. Very welcoming staff, good breakfast. Good nights sleep in very quiet area.

Fabulous location. Fairly basic hotel with nice breakfast. Room was on the 2nd floor with no lift. Air conditioning inadequate.

Overnight stay at Casa San Tommaso
The hotel and the room was very good for an overnight stay. It had everything we needed. The conditions were very good and the staff were very kind.

We stayed in the top floor, the room had all the necessities. It was hot and the air conditioner didn’t work, but there was a window that let fresh air in. Staff where very helpful in regards to late check in and a map for a tour of the city. They also allowed us to leave our luggage after check out to your the city. Breakfast had a variety of options, boiled eggs, cold cuts, bread, pancakes, pastries, fruit and drinks. The stay was good.

Excellent location
Simple but very well located. Nice buffet breakfast with a different delicious cake every day! Helpful staff and generally a great base to visit Pisa and nearby cities.

Had a very enjoyable stay. The property is off on a quiet side street but only a few minutes walk from the city's principal sites. Best of both worlds. Excellent buffet breakfast and numerous dining options near the hotel. A bit of a ways from the train station and the airport but the taxi fare is well worth it.

Staff helpful & friendly. Rooms basic but clean, comfy & have everything you need although shower could’ve been more powerful & I wouldn’t rely on the hair dryer if you’re short of time lol. Location fantastic. Breakfast selection pretty good, I personally loved it as have a sweet tooth but savoury options were decent too plus cereal etc. Complimentary coffee/ tea at breakfast with juices etc.

We chose this hotel mainly based on its convenient location - the Leaning Tower and the pedestrian shopping area are within walking distance. Driving is not fun, but the hotel provides on-street parking. The staff is helpful, and the rooms have AC for the hot days.

Very convinient location and super friendly staff. The hotel has a historic charm, too, as it is located in an old building with many period features. The breakfast selection could be better, though. But overall it was a great stay.

It's just couple blocks away from a leaning tower. Great breakfast, very friendly staff. Room had a desk, which I used, WiFi was good. Bed was very comfortable. Five stars in each category.

the hotel is well located not far from the tower, but the hotel is in need of upgrading and the rooms are fairly basic. however the price was fair and the breakfast selection was ok, the coffee from the machine is terrible

Ideal lodging
Pisa is an amazing city, rich in Italian cultural history. Casa San Tommaso is convenient to all the important sites. Quaint but comfortable, with all the amenities, a friendly and helpful staff, and very nice breakfast, it is the perfect place for tourists to stay when visiting Pisa.

Perfect stay!
Casa San Tommaso is ideally located for exploring the grounds of Piazza del Duomo with many eateries and a mini supermarket located nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable - exactly what we needed after a busy day. Breakfast is buffet style with a small covered dining area located outside. Just to note, if you intend to arrive after 8pm, email the hotel reception to let them know and they will send you through the access code for the door and ensure your room key is left at reception with some other useful information. We would happily recommend Casa San Tommaso.

Hotel is conveniently located, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it's just a few steps from the leaning tower. The rooms are a bit dated though, and the hot water in the shower kept turning itself off. Breakfast is good with plenty of choices, but the eating area is very small. Without the the friendliness of the front desk and the breakfast staff, this would only be a 3 star review.

Great Hotel
The breakfast here was amazing! There was a great array of food options. I enjoyed the room and appreciated the size of the bathroom. The room was very clean and the air conditioning worked wonders. Also, the front desk was very accommodating. Overall, it was a berry pleasant stay and I would stay again.

Location, location, location! Casa San Tommaso is inside the city walls, and about 100 yards from the Field of Miracles. The convenience to site seeing was great. We had to pay $9 to park on the street (24 hour permit) in front of the B & B, but that was MUCH better than in a parking lot that lacked security. Our room was on the top floor (3rd floor; no elevator, but that was OK with us). Our room had "character": exposed ceiling beams, plus what looked like brick for our ceiling - the underside of the roof tiles, and a small window that was more like a sky light. The bathroom was sufficient, along with the soap/shampoo/hair dryer. The breakfast was sufficient: cheese, yogurt, cereals, bread, juice, coffee.

A very convenient location for tourist sites and breakfast was a pleasant selection although the eating area was very cramped. Very basic room with sky-light only and extremely dusty wooden roof beams overhead. Rustic feel which had pros and cons. Fresh towels daily and clean and comfy beds which were the important things!

I liked that the tower of Pisa was in walking distance from the hotel. My hotel room was on the top floor, had to carry my luggage up the stairs and my 82 years old mother had to walk up the stairs.

This hotel in in an older building that has evidently been converted. Rooms are small, bathrooms are smaller, and the breakfast was disappointing, particularly after the coffee machine malfunctioned and could not be repaired. However, staff were very helpful and gracious, and the location is superb.
