Good location, but very dated and tired.Posted Jun 19, 2014
Cons: The bed
Overall, the hotel was not bad. Amazing location, with our room overlooking the Leaning Tower. A bit dated and tired looking, but the staff were helpful. Worst part was the bed. Very hard mattress and pillows. I would not stay here again, just because of comfort.

Good hotel, right next to the Leaning TowerPosted Jun 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel. The location was excellent as we were only planning on seeing the Piazza dei Miracoli and the Leaning Tower. This hotel is literally the closest hotel to the Leaning Tower. You can eat in their breakfast hall and see the Leaning Tower. This also means that it is easy to get to from the Pisa airport or train terminal because there is a bus that runs from the airport, to the train terminal and to the Piazza dei miracoli day and night so you just have to ask which bus to take to the Leaning Tower and you are there. Our room was clean and the private bathroom was very nice. Our bed was a 4 out of 5 in terms of comfort for sleeping. We arrived at 10:30 at night and there was someone there to check us in. They were helpful. The next day, they were nice enough to allow us to leave our roller board suitcases in their TV room while we saw the sights around Pisa. There are good restaurants nearby. I would recommend this place.

Worst mattress everPosted May 19, 2014
Cons: Yes, new management or owner because the present ones looks like they are neglecting it.
Location: It's a step away from the tower n the busses.
Right outside of the Tower, nerver again, noise till 5am. My bed was the hardest bed and it was not flat, I felt like I was climbing to get to the edge of the bed. Probably slept 2 hours. The outside carpet needs a desperate cleaning.

Noisy!Posted May 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed in a ground floor room at the front of the hotel. On the Saturday night it was extremely noisy throughout the night leading to a broken sleep. However on the plus side, the hotel was clean, the bed comfy and the room spacious enough. It is also about 200m from the leaning tower, if you want to be as close as that! The hotel is nice enough, but be aware of the noise issue.

Good, very good.Posted Apr 21, 2014
Walls are a little thin, so you end up hearing everything that's happening next door. Besides that, great place to stay, right there from the tower and the main touristic attractions.

Good quality for the price- it's not a hotel that will wow you, but it was very reasonable, in terms of size of room, cleaniness, decor etc. Our room on the 3rd floor had a big modern bathroom, and we had a great view of the Tower from the room, you can't get any hotel closer than that. Convenient bus stop at the corner of the street that goes to the train station. lots of restaurants around too. Good TV with tons of channels, although wifi works only in hall or lower floor.

Great price for a wonderful location!Posted Mar 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were very pleased with Hotel Ariston. Friendly staff, clean rooms, private bathrooms, comfortable beds. Not to mention the wonderful location. You walk outside the front door and there is the leaning tower! Also plenty of nice Italian restaurants nearby and just a 3 minute walk to the city bus stop which takes you directly to the airport. We would certainly stay here again.
