“Great Location but Needs Updating”
Location! Location! Location! Out of my window the first day of our stay I could see an orange tree, the Leaning Tower and the church baptistry. Unfortunately the hotel hasn't been upgraded in years. The carpet is old and dusty, the wallpaper has 1950's sparkle, and there are dusty plastic flowers in the halls. The service was adequate though without friendliness. The breakfast was barely adequate though the coffee was good. The price was certainly reasonable, but I'd pay a bit more to have a better experience.
“Best Location!”
This is kind of a sweet, older hotel that could use some redecorating, but really, how old the wallpaper is just didn't matter to me. The location is fabulous - you can see the Tower from right in front of the hotel. Staff were helpful and kind. I would stay there again.
“Excellent location”
The hotel is old (late '70's...), should be renewed, the room was small, but the location is the best in Pisa! Average continental breakfast. You can see the Leaning Tower from the window.
“Great view of the Leaning Tower”
For the price, this hotel was perfect for us. We had a great view of the Leaning Tower from our room. The location and proximity to the airport/train station was good. The staff was great! They were very helpful. We requested a baby crib for our son and it was setup in the room when we arrived. Overall, our experience here was great - especially for the relatively cheap price we paid.
“Good choice for Pisa!”
Check in was very easy. The staff that met us was very nice and spoke very good english. The elevator is small but at least there is one. The room is basic but comfortable. You have a steel blind that can be raised and then open the windows for a bit of fresh air and a view. The air conditioning works which we found to be a plus even in late September. The bathroom is small and the shower is the size of a phone booth and as easy to maneuver around. There is sufficient wall closet and nightstand storage space for your clothes. Breakfast is typical for the region: coffee, cappucino, cereal, breads, yogurt and juices. The eating area is quaint but comfortable and bright. You are within one block of the Leaning Tower and the Duomo so you could come back to the room and rest after climbing the Tower (we did!). There are multiple ticket locations in the Duomo area and I recommend you buy your tickets in one purchase. We took a taxi from Pisa airport to the hotel which cost about 8 euro. You could take the train from the airport to Pisa Centrale and then take a taxi but the cost would be about the same and you would have to drag your bags up and down the steps at the station platforms. Just pay for the taxi and make it easy on yourself. There is usually a taxi waiting by the entrance to the tower so it's easy to find one to go back to the airport or train station. We would definitely stay here again.
“Needs major updating”
Great location! We had a view of the leaning tower of Pisa. It felt like you could almost reach out and catch it. Unfortunately, the room was a little small, which wouldn't have been so bad, but the decor was so out of date! The sconces on the wall were 60"s plastic and the carpeting was stained. The bathroom was very small and there was no room to put your cosmetics out, or hang the towels. The breakfast room was so hot, it was hard to enjoy .The front desk staff were not very friendly or helpful, except for one. I would definately stay in this location, but not at this hotel for more than one night,
“short stay in Pisa”
I picked this hotel because it was the last one available on a holiday weekend and I was worried because some of the negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has a great location and the service was better than you see in most of Italy. The breakfast was fine, cappuccino excellent and the restaurant next door very good with outstanding service. If they would cut down the tree that blocks the view of the tower from some of the rooms it would be even better, maybe wait for a convenient windstorm and step outside with a chain saw.
“Good tip”
The hotel is nice, but the staff is not friendly there. The breakfast is ok, but if you need internet, forget it. I spent one day in the hotel and the internet, which is paid separately, was not working. The hotel is close to the most interesting attractions in Pisa!
“Close to attractions!”
The hotel staff was helpful and pleasant. The Leaning Tower and Duomo were across the street. The mattress and the hair dryer left something to be desired, but the room was clean. The air conditioning worked well.
“Location, Location, Location; unsurpassed”
This hotel is fantastic and the location is unbeatable. It is so close to the Tower plaza that if the Tower fell over, it would almost hit your room. Great continental breakfast with more than just bread. Ask Sylvia at the front desk as she knows everything. Easy transportation modes right outside the front door. Very relaxed atmosphere. Clean and quiet.

Area:
Pisa, Italy: Many churches, bridges and fading palazzi adorn this ancient maritime city, but most visitors have eyes for just one building. Pisas famous Torre Pendente (Leaning Tower) seems to defy the laws of physics, which Galileo tested with weights dropped from its summit. Even without its recently stabilized tilt, this marble bell-tower would be an architectural marvel. Two ornate pulpits are highlights of the Duomo and Baptistery nearby.
