We had to walk to another hotel to book in.

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: It was situated at the end of the main shopping road. Breakfast quite good.
Cons: Have staff at hotel to greet and book in.
Location: Not far from train station, close to shops and easy to find.
After being dropped off with taxi we found we could not get into our hotel. We had to walk with all Our luggage to another hotel about 10 minute walk, book in and then walk back, no staff at hotel in any shape or form. We found our own rooms and when we went out still no one at the hotel to ask anything.

All we needed

A lovely hotel for the independently minded traveller. You get a key to the front door and your room and off you go. Good fresh continental breakfast. Great location not far from the tower in one direction and the river in the other. It's clean, everything worked and a comfy bed. All we needed.

Clean and tidy hotel and room! Very close to the leaning tower of Pisa, 5 min walk if that! Breakfast buffet was not extensive but adequate enough! Only issue was Internet was broken but they were trying to fix it. Would happily use it again :)

Upgraded to Hotel Ralais Dell Orologio 5* sister hotel closeby. Very impressed with this hotel which was peaceful and relaxed in centre of city. Room, Breakfast, Cleanliness, Location - excellent. Would return to what must be the best hotel in Pisa. Thank you.

We were booked in to the Relais dei Fiori, but were accommodated in the 'Orologio' when we arrived to check in.The hotel was nice, well kept and clean and the staff very attentive and helpful. Our room was quite dark (overlooking the street), but comfortable. The location was fantastic, although there was a lot of 'street noise' throughout Saturday night / early Sunday morning.....

Better than we expected.

Pros: Pleasant staff at dell'Orologico and they didn't treat us like poor cousins just because we were staying at the down market "B&B".
Cons: Fix the rain leak and recaulk the tub.
Location: It is well located for visiting Pisa sights. An occasional market is nearby, good restaurants, Roman ruins, leaning tower are all an easy walk.
We stayed here two nights in early October 2013 after making a reservation a couple of days before arrival. A Pisa friend said another friend has stayed there recently and enjoyed it despite the peculiarities of checking in at another hotel and then admitting yourself into this building with no permanent staff on site. We checked in two hours early and the staff at the Relais dell'Orologico welcomed us with a pleasant drink, gave us the room key and good directions to the dei Fiori, and we schlepped our bags a couple of blocks to the Fiori. A key admitted us to the building and a separate key admitted us to our second floor room. The elevator was useful, the room was remarkably pleasant, more than adequate for our needs and exceeded our expectations. The tub had a little grungy mold stain on the caulking and the air conditioner leaked rain water a little but otherwise the room was great. Breakfast could be delivered to the Fiori but we elected to walk to the Orologico both days and service was exemplary. The hotel location is near a university and we happened to be there for the first day of a new semester and a bunch of frisky kids decided to party on the tables and chairs that the hotel had placed in front of the Fiori for guests. It was a little more noisy than we would have liked but I doubt that it would be a frequent issue. i would not hesitate to stay there again but I'd check the weather report. Rainy scheppling might be a downer.

The forgotten hotel

Posted Jul 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
We arrived at the hotel from the website directions and map to find it locked with a intercom. It was very difficult to hear what the guy was saying but we discovered we had to walk to another hotel a few hundred yards away with our bags to check in. Then were sent back with our bags to let ourselves in so we weren't very impressed. Once inside we found that the bar and reception were all locked behind metal bars and there was no staff. When we checked in we were asked to fill in a form of limited breakfast options which were brought our room in the morning and placed on the bed. As the room was particularly small this was quite uncomfortable and not what we would have expected for the price. All in all the hotel probably was ok in the past but I wouldn't recommend it.

GREAT LOCATION for VISITING LEANING TOWER

Posted Jun 11, 2013
Pros: LOCATION AND ABLE TO USE FACILITIES AT THE MUCH GRANDER SISTER HOTEL
Cons: HAVING TO CHECK IN AT SISTER HOTEL
Location: PERFECT
The staff were very few but of those we met they were very helpful and polite. We were pleased with our room and loved the marble bathroom although a slight leak from shower. We had breakfast at sister hotel which was buffet style and met our requirements. We loved the al fresco atmospher the garden was lovely.

good location

When we finally turned up in the hotel there was not noone how could check us in cos the hotel was locked ,we weren´t informed beforehand we have to check -in in another hotel. There was only a small poster with information about where we must to go for check-in on the door. After half an hour of wandering in the area we found the place for check-in and then we went back to the original hotel. Unbeleivable ...The gentleman at the front desk promised us a few things in the room which weren´t there and charged us the second time for fee although we already paid for everything. In totall the location was great but that´s all. This was my worst experience with hotels.
