Although the single room is very small, there is everything needed. Owners and staff work hard to ensure everyone has a pleasant stay. The food served is very very good. There is a large and very pleasant lounge to relax in. WiFi throughout the hotel.

A very enjoyable and relaxing anniversary break for us. The staff were so friendly and polite. The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast excellent. The only negative was we asked for our tea and coffee to be replenished in our room during our stay which didn't happen, but a small thing.

We were pleasantly surprised with what this hotel has to offer - grand history and building, a nine hole golf course, tennis courts, a lovely Roman style pool / spa area, lovely walks eg to the magnificent Black Spout waterfall, games room etc. Breakfast was a bit crowded but it wasn't a problem waiting in the nice sofas; we didn't try dinner.

"Peaceful stay with fantastic views on Loch Rannoch"
We had a fantastic stay at the MacDonald Loch Rannoch Hotel. We had a good rate through expedia so I wasn't expecting the greatest room, but we had two double rooms with huge double beds and a view on the Loch. the swimming pool, sauna and steam room also offer great views on the Loch, and it all made it a magical stay. I would just warn that if you are not planning to eat at the Hotel, you might want to eat out in Pitlochry before going there. It is quite a long drive, and very isolated.
