Convenient, but wouldn't stay again

Posted Jul 9, 2014
We arrived for a late check in, which went smooth, and unloaded and went to our first room. Neither key got us in the room, and there was clearly a party going on next door. I went back to the desk and after some confusion on their end we got a new room. The room was "updated" but the bathroom was so small it was almost non functional. For example to turn on the water in the shower/tub, you literally have to be in the tub or reach over the sink. Things were just not well thought out. While the staff was friendly, the hotel was a hot mess as it was under construction.

Great value, close to Kennywood!!

Posted Jul 6, 2014
The drive was not too far from Kennywood, and the hotel was massive, clean, and well taken care of. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay again?

Not worth the money.

Too many levels and stairs. They used the ramp to store furniture do guests couldn't use it. The bathroom was too small and crowded not as clean as it should be. Food in restaurant was terrible

Adequate and under renovation.

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: The staff was quite courteous.
We stayed in a room that had not been renovated. The renovated spaces are sure to be cleaner. Sound carried very well from adjacent rooms, and although the rooms were non-smoking, smoking in adjacent rooms did not set off smoke detectors.

I sat at the bar for dinner. The appearance and cleanliness of the bar made me lose my appetite. So did the food. The lettuce that was part of the salad was brown at the edges indicating that it was stale. I do think that the hotel has potential and that the renovations will help. But, please re-do the restaurant.

Nice for the money

Pros: Renovated.
It did what I needed, however Pittsburgh traffic is horrible when it rains, so staying at this place and trying to get to a meeting in the city is an exercise in futility.

Nice hotel outside Pittsburgh, & Monroeville.

Stayed here a few times in the past. Definitely not the Sheraton, but good enough for dance competitions and going to the zoo. They are finally doing some remodeling.

Hotel undergoing renovations

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: nice pool
Cons: decor
Location: on the side of a huge hill.
The rstaurant, bar and hot tub were all undergoing renovations. This hotel was a huge disappointment. It was outdated (which I expected). Beds were comfy and clean. I just could not belive that they didn't have a disclaimer that said it was undergoing renovations.

Nice place to go for a Steelers game

Posted Jan 20, 2014
Pros: Price
Cons: A little bit outdated, but doesn't look like a very old hotel.
Location: Steelers games
We went to a Steelers game and didn't want to spend a lot of money in the hotel, this hotel was good for the purpose. Breakfast was included and the pool was indoor in case you want to swim a little bit in the morning before the game.
