great hotel to stay in very clean & pool was awesome.... but the restaurant that is attached the advertise that it's open till 1 am serving different food & drinks. Truth is after 10 it's pizza & liquor only. I wanted actual food so ended up going to Dennys!

Excellent stay!

The hotel was very clean. The staff was exceptionally nice. My room was very clean and comfortable. The only thing that I didn't care for was the location. It was easy to find. It was just so far away from all of the places we wanted to visit. But the overall visit was excellent. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice

The housekeeping staff was very friendly & helpful especially when the air conditioner would not work. The location seems remote but most parts of Pittsburgh & the metro area was within 20 minutes. There are restaurants & shopping close by. The room was clean, comfortable & recently decorated.

RIDC Comfort Inn - Much Improved

Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Emerson and training facilities. It is also right off of highway 28 so easy access.
Cons: The parking lot needs to be repaired - potholes are huge. The outside doesn't look that much different from 25 years ago when I first stayed there.
Location: Next door to Emerson and other tech businesses. For restaurant variety you need to drive down to the Waterworks area or out 28 to Pittsburgh Mills.
Comfort Inn has revived the old Holiday Inn and it is a huge improvement. Stayed there years ago because it was close for business but did not return due to poor room quality. Stayed at the remodeled Comfort Inn three times and have been very happy with the rooms, two were regular rooms and one a suite. There are no other hotels within six miles and they are not that great so it is very nice to have good accommodations close to business site. The gym was well equipment although I did not use it. Room has very comfortable bed, bathroom was clean with modern furnishings, and carpet appeared very recently updated, as were the hallways. Huge improved over what I remember from the old days. Many of my colleagues still won't stay there but I have no issues with the Comfort Inn. A co-worker has also stayed there twice in the last two months and was very happy.

Pros: Pillows and the rooms are not cramped!
Cons: Hard to find. Should have used the GPS
Great place to stay. Only bad thing is from the direction we were coming difficult to find. Love the pillows. The breakfast was good too!

10 minutes drive from PITT.

Pros: On a positive note the free breakfast was very impressive- hot and cold items.
Booked the room 6 months in advance to attend my daughter's graduation ceremony. First night there was too much highway traffic noise. Definitely ask for a room facing away from the highway. On the second night there was partying noise all around our room due to a large tour bus loaded with a teenage choir group booking rooms in the hotel. It was 2:00am and still there was lots of noise, cursing, and overall immature behavior in the hallway and in the surrounding rooms. We called the front office twice starting at midnight, but that didn't seem to help. The teens didn't listen to their chaperones and we never heard any hotel staff talking to the teens even though the rooms next to and across the hall were housing the teens. In my mind the hotel should have assigned us a room away from the large choir group in the first place. They had to have known that such a large group was arriving.
