“Airport lodging option”

“satisfactory”

the staff was very nice. The room was ok. very basic. The bathroom area was very small. The hotel needs to offer local maps of the area, different restaurants, things to do etc. There was phone phone book in room so it was difficult to look up local things. It was adequate. Breakfast was good

“Great place to stay by the airport-great deal”

We booked through Expedia and found a great price. Hotel was nice, didn't hear airplanes like we thought we might. Very clean -good service. A full breakfast was included with the special summer deal we received and was very good !!! Comfortable queen beds and very spacious room.

Area recommendations

Downtown, the old train station, what a gem, well worth seeing. Pittsburg's downtown has many old beautiful architectual buildings, we were surprised. Some more beautiful newer ones also !!

“Excellent service and great hotel!”

Our family had a great experience at this hotel. We stayed for six days and found the staff extremely polite and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the hotel was top notch. We will definitely return to this hotel in future trips to Pittsburgh.

This hotel is near the airport and about a 20 minute drive from downtown.

“noisey”

Its a very nice hotel, nice pool and jacuzzi. However the room we had was very noisy, there was a constant tapping noice like there was water dripping behind the walls. Breakfast was good, and staff was accomodating.

“Not at airport...”

The hotel was nice, clean and had friendly staff. Unfortunately, it was actually 7 miles from the airport. There was a shuttle, which was helpful. Just be aware you can't walk over to the terminals.

“One Luggage Cart?? Unbelievable!”

Courteous staff and nice ambiance. However, the hotel only has ONE of those rolling luggage carts (unbelievable!). There were two weddings and a class reunion going on, and needless to say, I had to make numerous trips to manually take up my luggage. On top of all this, one of the two (very small) elevators was out for my entire check-out day and it was impossible to get one empty enough to get on with the fiercely commandeered luggage cart.

Pittsburgh's riverfront -- Station Square -- for food and fun will never steer you wrong!

“Doubletree Airport”

Arrived slightly early but room was available. Greeted by a very friendly staff and welcomed to a warm cookie for all in my party. Room was extremely comfortable and clean. Ice machines were out on my floors which was really the only down fall. Staff in the lounge/bar was friendly as well

Close to restaurants,plenty of parking. The warm cookie at check-in made a great dessert after dinner. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

“Doubletree double fine”

Excellent stay. Pool and hot tub were clean and at appropriate temps. No robes were available in the rooms.
