Not by the airport, but really good staff

My plane was cancelled and I had a crazy schedule. The staff checked me in, gave me a late checkout, and was really wonderful in my time of need. This hotel is 15 min from the airport. The name is misleading. I was kind of annoyed about that.

Overnight stay

Pros: the hotel offered transportation to and from the hotel to the Pittsburgh airport. Parking our vehicle there was an added bonus.
Location: location was okay we wanted to stay as close to the airport as possible.
No problems. Room was clean, atmosphere was pleasant, hotel staff were friendly.

Pros: close to airport with bar and restaurant
I have stayed in this particular hotel many times and seemed to always have trouble with the internet. I mentioned this to the woman at the front desk. Her reply was not one of apologetic but her comment was "maybe it's the user not the internet" This seemed to be a very inappropriate response. I was told the password for the internet was the room number then my last name. I settled into my room and immediately tried the internet access. Just as the time before it did not work. I then tried not my last name but my first name then room number and it worked. My name must have been switched around in my rewards account with my first name where my last should be and my last name where my fir should be.

Pros: close to the airport. Nice restaurant. Comfortable beds
Cons: The bath room
Nice hotel convenient to airport. Bathroom needed work shower head sticking out of the wall loose and bath tub paint finish coming off inside the tub. A quality hotel would not allow this to happen.

Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean hotel also.
Cons: They should have a complimentary breakfast!!
Location: Lots of things to do very close to hotel! Loved the area of this hotel!
Air conditioner was stuck on in my room and maitnance had to come fix it then second day the heat was stuck on and the room was miserably hot! The temps were very uncomfortable.. Was disappointed this hotel did not have a complementary breakfast either...

Great hotel experience

Pros: Close to Restaurant, Nice Rooms, Great Staff Close to Airport for early flights, Older Doubletree but still a nice hotel
Location: Close to Airport for early flights,
We caught a red eye flight into pittsburgh and arrived at the hotel at 6am. We did not have a room for the night prior because are other flight was cancelled. The hotel staff allowed us to wait in the lobby area and got us into the first that was cleaned. We were exhausted from all day and night of traveling but the hotel staff made for a excellent weekend.

Nice hotel, convenient location

Pros: large rooms, plenty of space for a family of 4.
Cons: bed comfort
Location: very close to the airport and Robert Morris University. about 20 min from the city center.
Very nice hotel, located near the airport and not far from the city center. The hotel and rooms were very clean and the rooms were large. Our only complaint is that the beds are not overly comfortable. The staff was very polite and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was nice, the buffet was a good quality but not complimentary.

Terrific stay!

Jackson's Restaurant in the DoubleTree was the highlight of our stay. Both the bar and the dining room are excellent, and you can get both the bar and normal dining menus in either. Make sure you get June as your server. Terrific food. Excellent value on the wine.

Front desk staff are nice and friendly. Spacious room. The only complaint is the noise from airport maybe could have chosen some rooms further down away from the airport... perhaps hotel to improve some sound proofing.
