Nice room, but for the price expected more space in the room. And no free wifi. That's a rip off in itself. Not impressed overall.

Extra charges? Really???Posted Nov 5, 2014
Pros: Large room that was clean
Cons: At that room rate, no extra fees for wifi or parking.
Location: Nice location for anything downtown Pittsburgh.
The hotel itself is nice and a convenient downtown Pittsburgh location, but for THAT price you would expect to: 1) Not have to pay extra for wifi 2) Not have to pay extra for parking 3) Be allowed just one extra hour late checkout so you can change after your interview before driving three hours home (which was not allowed) The only reason for paying that exorbitant amount was it was walking distance to an interview and not worrying about finding parking in the morning. This was (by far) the most I have ever paid for a hotel room, so those extra fees and inconvenience were very unexpected and disappointing!

Amazing hotel for a special occasionPosted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Amazing views, luxurious, courteous staff, nice atmosphere
Cons: The price is high. I doubt this can be improved. The view is incredible and it's definitely cheaper than a hotel, downtown in many other major cities.
Location: Market square sits right next door. A ton of fun restaurants to explore.
This was a beautiful hotel. My Fiance and I had lived in downtown Pittsburgh for many years. I planned to propose to my girlfriend in Market square, which sits next to the hotel. To make a long story short, we ended up staying at the Fairmont to celebrate. This hotel was the perfect place to stay in downtown Pittsburgh. Beautiful views, very luxurious, and the staff was extremely helpful. I don't think I would stay there on business or if I was in town alone, but to celebrate a special night in Pittsburgh you can't beat this location. I wish they had made a bigger deal about our engagement, but that's probably a little selfish on my part. All in All, If I could have done it again, I definitely would have stayed at the Fairmont.

Great SpotPosted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Location and Amenities
Location: Go to The Strip, great restaurants and bars. Drive an an hour and 45 min south to see the Falling Water house.
Great location that is centrally located between downtown stadiums, The Strip and right on top of Market Square. Friday and Saturday nights are lively in the the lobby with live music and a pretty busy bar scene. Rooms have Keurigs and well stocked, somewhat affordable minibars. I would recommend this hotel for any long weekend getaway.

Beautiful hotel in a great location.Posted Sep 29, 2014
My husband and I stayed here the night before we saw a steelers game, the room was expensive but very comfortable and clean. The terry cloth robes were excellent and the soaps and shampoos smelled wonderful. Hotel staff was very nice and the whole place was very beautiful and accommodating.

Best Hotel in PittsburghPosted Sep 29, 2014
You get what you pay for. This hotel is expensive but worth it. Location can't be beat. The hotel is right in the center of everything. I walked everywhere and I was never far from the hotel. Nightlife was only a couple blocks away. Some great restaurants are steps away. The ballparks are a short walk over the bridge. The room was amazing. The view from my room was great. I could see PNC Park beautifully. The pillows and bed could not be more comfortable. The TV was full HD. The bathroom was super clean. The room was very quiet too. The staff was warm, friendly, and very helpful. They were just perfect. I asked for extra towels and mere seconds after I hung up with room service, the maid was at my door with numerous towels. Long story short, I'll be back in Pittsburgh shortly and I will always stay at the Fairmont. Well worth every penny.
