Good location, fair price

Pros: Location, price, and the pleasant workers.
Cons: Getting into the hotel parking lot, depending on the direction you are coming from, and lighting in rear of the building.
Location: Location is great, I am not aware of the things to do in the area, I just go home in Clairton,
Things got off to a bad start. Since they are renovating the hotel, there were a shortage of rooms, and they wanted to put me into room 117 on the basement floor next to the door, and the room was terrible. I of course complained and ended up in room 223 on the main floor, which was a room for the handicap, but it was clean, and not smelly. other than that it was a good experience.

I regret that your stay got off to a bad start, or so it appeared, until our staff recognized that there was an issue and responded quickly and swiftly to ensure your satisfaction. As you mentioned, our great hotel is currently under renovations. As you can expect, there are sometimes minor setbacks that we have due to rooms being closed for the project and such. Even so, we have been trying hard to ensure that the we leave no inconveniences to our guests. We are glad that the staff and most the guests are excited to see the new look and it will all be complete by summer! I want to invite you back to enjoy the new look. Please stop in and see us this summer, we would love to leave a good impression again!

Good hotel

The check-in staff were so welcoming. I love that this hotel has 2 queen beds rather than 2 doubles. The room was nice. We had a problem with our sink not draining but we didn't call anyone's attention to it until we checked out. They said they would take care of it right away. The breakfast was awesome. It was a good experience.

Tired Hotel in Need of Renovation

Pros: Desk Clerks were helpful & nice
Cons: New Furniture. Bathroom sink larger than 12" wide. Replace Onionskin thin Toilet Paper. Broken Towel Rack.
Location: An area absolutely void of charm & character, dominated by Chain Restaurants, Car Dealerships & Malls. Visit only if business requires you to be there
Across from Allegheny County Airport, where I had business. For some strange reason the maid turned the heat up to full blast, every time I turned it down. The desk staff did inform me the hotel was scheduled for renovation, which is why maintenance was deferred.

Thank you for letting us know about your stay. I regret that the housekeeper was over zealous with your heater. I am going to speculate that she was trying to ensure that your room was warm and cozy. I will talk to our housekeeping department and ensure that this does not happen again. Sometimes here in the Pittsburgh area we are misled by the clouds and the brisk in the air to believe that we are due for a great cold front when it turns out to be not so bad. Nevertheless, we will make sure that housekeepers are mindful of our guests desired temperatures. you are absolutely correct in that our hotel is quickly embarking on a super makeover! Our renovation project is set to begin at the beginning of the new year! We are very excited about our new look and we would love to have you come back and enjoy it with us! Room were very clean and the breakfast was good. Very nice bed and bathroom. Not far from restaurants and shopping.

Return to Holiday Inn

Amazing....I stayed at this hotel back in 1971 on my "wedding night"....it has been maintained and upgraded over the years and is still a quality place to stay. Front desk Staff were exceptional...making me feel "at-home' when I arrived. The hot breakfast was a nice touch to start the day.

Comfy but dirty

Super friendly staff, comfortable bed, dirtiest holiday inn express I have stayed in , carpets stained, bathroom was not cleaned properly.
