Great hotel but book away from the freeway ramps

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Clean, well appointed and great staff.
Cons: Location under the freeway, but that can't change...
Location: Right next to the stadium and the area nearby is rapidly gentrifying with some very cool places.
Ours was a very nice king room and hotel has a friendly staff, good breakfast served...we changed rooms when ours was in the corner directly looking at (and listening to) the freeway ramp about 20 feet away. But staff was completely accommodating and no problem with new room at all. Would stay again but make sure where the room is...

Very nice hotel

Rooms was great. We were on a corner so it was a little noisy from the freeway. They charged extra to park your car which I thought was a little redicuilous. Overall a very nice hotel.

Odor

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly
Location: Great location
When we entered our room there was an odor that smelled like mildew. We contacted the front desk and we were moved to another room promptly but that room had the exact smell so we sucked it up and stayed there. When we told the front desk the next morning they didn't charge us for parking. The staff was very friendly but I can't believe we were the only ones who have complained

Great Location

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: We had a little problem getting a confirmation online so accidentally booked twice. But they helped us correct the problem right away.
Location: Heinz Field, PNC park, Stage AE, Carnegie Science center, North Shore walking trail, numerous restaurants and bars and the subway entrance.
We booked this hotel at the last minute and were very pleasantly surprised. It is located on the North Shore of Pittsburgh very close to both PNC park and Heinz field. The Carnegie Science center was a block or two away also. We wanted to go to a venue in downtown Pittsburgh but didn't want to deal with car or pedestrian traffic so we just walked out the back door from the lobby, crossed the parking lot and jumped on the subway for a free ride to Gateway Center/Point State park for the arts festival. The hotel is very new and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely use it again.

Concert at Stage AE

Posted Jun 16, 2014
This was a perfect hotel for a show at stage AE. You can check in and park your car, the concert is a block away, you can walk there in a few minutes. Friendly and fast check in, some things could use updated but everything was clean and comfortable.
