“Great location and OUTSTANDING hotel staff, made it a pleasure to stay there!”

Hotel is in a great location for events at the Consol Energy Center and the hotel staff was friendly and very knowledgable about the city and services available. Everyone that we encountered at the hotel was professional, friendly and very willing to assist in any way to make our stay enjoyable.

“Convenient to Consol Center”

Stayed at the Marriott to see concert at Consol Center. Across the street, very convenient. Downside: no where to eat nearby, very noisy after concert.

“Honeymoon Stay”

My wife and I spent our honeymoon weekend in the hotel and we were impressed. The room was clean, the hotel staff was kind and courteous and the breakfast in the morning was good as well. Would definitely go back again.

“great stay”

I stayed at the hotel for one night and had a good experience. The people at the front desk was really friendly and though I was about an hour early (2pm), they still let me check in. The room size was fine (2 twin beds) though the bathroom was a little small but other than that, I found the stay to be comfortable and relaxing. The restaurant had great food, though it was a bit overpriced but since it was at a hotel, I guess that was to be expected. The one thing I found really annoying was the wait-time for the elevators. They had 3 but it took like over 5 minutes just for one of the elevators to reach your floor. Overall, the place was great. I would stay there again if needed.

Area recommendations

Not too sure. My brother and I only went for a college visit but the UPitt campus is really nice.

“Great Place to Stay Before Pens Game”

We stay at this hotel before going to Pens games. It has many ammenities and the staff is very helpful and courteous. They have done a lot to upgrade the facility since we first started staying there a few years ago.

“Concert at Consol Energy Center”

I would go back if I was going to attend a concert at the Consol Energy Center. The Center is about a block away - very convenient. However, there is one restaurant and one lounge, so before a concert both fill up very quickly and after a concert, it is virtually impossible to get in.

I would recommend the Oakland area of the city...it has a lot to offer, a lot to see.

“Pittsburgh's good choice”

Conveniently located close to city center. Duquesne is 2 blocks away, Consol Energy Center, the new home to the Pittsburgh Penguins is within a block. It's an easy walk to/from the other sports venues and just far enough away from the school down Forbes in Oakland for my taste. Beds were comfortable, staff friendly, valet quick and taxi's accessible. Highly recommended and a good value for center city hotel accommodations.

“Great Pittsburgh hotel”

Great hotell if you plan on going to a Pittsburgh Penguins game. With in walking distance from the Mellon Arena and right next to their new arena. Also, had a great bar and restaurant in the hotel where we had a great breakfast buffet. Would plan on staying there the next time I plan on going to a Penguins game.

Events and shows

Went to the Pittsburgh Penguins vs the Buffalo Sabres game to see the Mellon Arena in its last season. I a great time at the game with my dad.
