Wonderful location

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Immaculately clean bedding and bathroom. Beautifully decorated. Lively atmosphere in lobby, peaceful in room.
Cons: Would love to have had free wifi in room, but that would not stop me from returning since it was available in the lobby.
Location: Macy's right around the corner, restaurants near by, centrally located downtown.
Beautiful and grand. Lovely lobby and restaurants. Great drinks at bar. Immaculate bedding.

This is a beautiful hotel in the center of town. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The restaurant is also very nice, with extremely attentive wait staff.

Beautiful, historic hotel with fantastic staff

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Location: 5-6 minute walk to Consol, 1-2 minute walk to Steel Plaza subway which takes you to PNC/Heinz for free.
We came to Pittsburgh for a sports weekend, chanced a stay at the William Penn. This place is absolutely gorgeous. The staff we encountered, from the desk staff to the housekeepers were all incredibly professional, courteous, and not at all like other "exclusive/ritzy" places I've been at where they look at a pair of 20-something young professionals and treat them like they arn't the clientele they should be serving. Everyone was fantastic. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. About a 5-6 minute walk to Consol (several street crossings, but not difficult), weekend parking at the deck next door was $5/day weekend self park, also only a block from subway station.

Nice upscale hotel closeby to everything

Posted Jan 17, 2015
Cons: 1) the bathroom in my room had very little counter space, 2) only smoking area was right outside the front doors. horrible for us nonsmokers.
Location: Plenty of restaurants of all price ranges within walking distance.
Thought the stay at Omni was excellent. I did not go to the speakeasy but ate at the restaurant and the Tap Room. Room was always clean, as was everything in the hotel.

Can't go wrong at the William Penn

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Really good restaurants on site, especially the Terrace Room.
If you want a great night's rest, this is the place for you. Super nice accommodations, staffed with people who really care about your comfort. Latest example? We arrived late and were starving but couldn't contact Room Service due to a telephone problem. Called the operator for help and instead of transferring us to possibly experience the same problem, she took our order and forwarded it on our behalf. Now that's customer service!

Great hotel, but bad night

Posted Jan 11, 2015
i love this hotel but when I stayed there Friday night, I won't up in the middle of the night and the room was literally freezing. Our heat had broken at some point in the night. When I told the desk clerk that morning he didn't offer up much of an apology just that I should I have told them the night before. I probably should have but it was the middle of the night!

Hôtel situé au centre-ville près de tout

Posted Jan 10, 2015
