Perfect location

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: room size, cleanliness, location
Cons: no improvements necessary
Location: Macy's nearby, The cultural district, Market square, you name it, you can walk there from here
Hotel was lovely and sits in a perfect location to be within walking distance to the cultural district, or market square. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room size was fabulous. I've never stayed in a hotel with 2 double beds that had that much floor space!

Downtown Pittsburg

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Old but classic hotel in the heart of downtown Pittsburg. Easy access to ballparks, shopping, restaurants, pubs. Rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. The lobby is a relaxing and comfortable spot to hang out with a Starbucks in one corner or bar in the other. The staff was helpful and polite. Great spot!

Centrally located

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Very elegant lobby, rooms were spacious!
Cons: Wifi should be free for guest.
Location: Centrally located. Crossed the street to take subway to stadium.
Every staff member treated you like royalty. Room was very nice. Easy to get to, and local transportation was just steps away.

Corner room layout tight & halllway dirty

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Maybe just our floor & tiny corner room behind service elevators but it was a bad layout - very tight. And while room carpet was fine / updated; the hallway carpet was the most filthy we had ever seen (& that is saying a lot), too bad - everything else was ok & staff were nice. Good lication.

My preferred hotel in Pittsburgh!

Posted Jun 14, 2015
Pros: Convenience, staff, rooms
Cons: Amenities could be improved.
Location: Is within walking distance to almost everything downtown!!!
Have traveled to Pittsburgh numerous times over the past 20 years and this is my favorite hotel by far. It is a beautiful old hotel with character galore. If you are looking for modern go elsewhere but if you are looking for old school glamour this is the place!

Fabulous Hotel in the heart of Pittsburgh

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Clean, historic, convenient,
Location: Point State Park, in the summer, events all the time! Also Market Square with lots of restaurants & seating. A short drive to Strip District shops!
The staff is very helpful and friendly, rooms are neat and clean with plenty of room to work, sleep and relax. Walking distance to many places downtown. And even though the hotel is on a busy street with no loading/unloading space, the staff make it easy. Two options for parking - valet and self. We chose self which was across the street and only $5 a day!
