We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was welcoming and the room was very clean and beautiful. Thank you for everything. The only thing I would change is the food is not very appetizing. We chose to go to the commener for a late night snack

Beautiful hotel that I would recommend to a friend

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: The decor was beautiful.
Cons: The mattresses in our room were not very comfortable.
Location: We were in town to see a show in a nearby theater. On walks around the hotel, there was plenty to see and do.
The lobby was beautiful as was our room. The only drawback was a bed that was not very comfortable. The staff was excellent and very helpful.

Beautiful Hotel

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: Very elegant. It seemed like you stepped back into old Hollywood.
Cons: There was a wedding in the hotel the evening we were there. Unfortunately, the neighbors across the way were a bit loud at 2 in the morning.
Location: My daughter and I visited Duquesne University. It was literally walking distance from the hotel.
We only stayed one night but thought the hotel was absolutely lovely. The beds were fabulous and so comfortable. The headboards even had built in reading lamps. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Great downtown hotel experience

Posted Feb 23, 2015
We stayed on the 8th floor in a suite with a king sized bed. Although the view from our window wasn't much, the hotel as a whole made up for it. The staff was accommodating and friendly, the room was pristine and comfortable, and the terrace room restaurant was delicious. We also really enjoyed the speakeasy bar- the bartender was incredible! We will definitely return to the William Penn every chance we get.

Excellent service but facilities needs improvement

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Classic, elegant
Cons: improved services. Restroom /toilet was tad bit tiny.
Location: great
Excellent staff, cleanliness and centrally located. However, I didn't see a micro Owen inside the room. There is no free continental breakfast. One has to pay for it. No free shuttle services within downtown

Pros: The absolute best hot shower I've ever experienced in a hotel!! I didn't want to get out We had breakfast in your "Terrace"
Cons: The light fixture over the sink in the bathroom....very dated...not clean
Location: We were in town to visit our son who attends Duquesne University.
From the moment we pulled to the curb, your employees were so nice and helpful!

Beautiful hotel, love the 20's theme

Hotel was beautiful, clean but older. There is base board heating which made it very dry and uncomfortable to sleep.

Great hotel. Right where we wanted to be. Downtown Pittsburgh. Clean room. A little noisy at night from outside traffic

You don't always get what you pay for.

Posted Feb 12, 2015
Pros: We enjoyed everything about the hotel except for the room.
Cons: If someone call and requests a room with some kind of a view honor it if at all possible but don't say , you can deliver if you can't.
Location: Location was perfect for the amount of time we spent there. Pittsburgh is a really neat city that we will revisit.
As soon as you walk into the William Penn. You are immediately taken by the beauty and obvious history behind it. The staff was nothing shy of outstanding. When we arrived to our room, the air was immediately released. Small and very dimly lit the bed alone took 3/4 of the room. I was asked to call the front desk in advance to make sure that I got a room with some kind of a view. So I did that. "TWICE". The view that we got was the rest of the building. Even though I don't stay in a hotel to sit and look through the window. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was. The bathroom was almost the same size as the bedroom. And why would such a nice hotel HAVE TO charge you 10.00 a day for WiFi when every where else has it free? The Omni William Penn Hotel is truly a beautiful place to stay but make sure that you know exactly what room you will be staying in before you commit.
