Affordable but very comfortable!

Posted Oct 11, 2014
I've stayed at this hotel four times now. Any time I go out for a trip to Pittsburgh I always will use it. Its just outside of the city, so while there is some driving involved its not that bad. The room is always clean, and the bed is more comfortable than my bed back home! I'm picky with my pillows (I like a firm pillow) and this hotel has great pillows. The customer service is top notch, and the grounds are well maintained. If you are making a trip out to the Pittsburgh area, you have to use this hotel!

Excellent stay

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: Very clean.
Cons: Soft towels and wash clothes
The only thing I would like to see is soft towels and wash clothes, other than that my stay was excellent and will be back for another stay very soon.

Good value, good location.

Location: A University of Pittsburgh Medical Center facility is nearby, and plenty of shopping along US Business Route 22, especially the Monroeville Mall.
We stayed three nights over a weekend while attending a family event. The Red Roof Inn is located behind another hotel and is reached by a driveway marked with a large sign. The three-story building is of an older design, with outdoor entry to all rooms and elevator access to the upper floors. A small office is tucked away in a corner at the driveway end, and we missed it at first, finding it only after a few minutes driving around the parking area. Our room, with two double beds, was clearly recently renovated, with a good-sized wall-mounted high-def TV set supported with true HD cable service, AM-FM clock radio with large numeral time display, and in-room wi-fi service for smart phones and tablets. The mattresses were firm, with no sags or depressions, and we slept well every night, undisturbed by any outside noise. While not offering complimentary breakfast, this Inn offers discounts at local restaurants, including a Denny's and a King's Family Restaurant, by showing either the room key sleeve or checkout receipt to the cashier. We booked this room primarily on price, and weren't disappointed.

Loved the hotel.

Pros: Everything! Remodeled room. Comfortable desk for computer work. Very clean. Great pillows!
Location: Location is near numerous restaurants, a mall, and just a short drive to the city of Pittsburgh.
I absolutely loved the hotel. The room was newly remodeled and very pleasing to the eye from the moment I walked in. I had the king bed, which was very comfortable. It came with 4 pillows, one of which was the perfect shape and softness. The room came with a very stylish desk and chair which was perfect for my laptop, and although I didn't use them, the room also came with a mini fridge and a microwave. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous and helpful with my every request. Despite it being an outside entry style hotel, I had no issues whatsoever with noise. Overall, I enjoyed every aspect of the room and my stay. The room rate was very reasonable and if I ever need to stay in the Monroeville area again, I'll definitely be staying here.

Recently renovated rooms are really nice! Clean and decorated very nicely. Flat panel tv. Hard wood floors. FREE wifi. Very reasonably priced - I booked on expedia and saved money. Would stay at any Red Roof Inn, especially this one.

One Night stay hotel

Pros: The easy access off the Highway and their where quiet of bit of eating establishments within a mile or two from the hotel.
Cons: Could use a coffee pots and some coffee in the room and not have to go to the front desk if you wanted a morning coffee.
Location: Easy access and loads of eateries in and around the hotel and lots of shopping centers too.
Since traveling for a couple of hours. Getting to the hotel late in the evening was greeted quiet pleasantly by the worker behind the counter. Took no time to get the keys to the room and was quite happy that the room was easily accessible and was also given a choice of first, second or third floors.
