Better choices in area

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Location: Have a great dinner at The Juniper Grill nearby.
Bed very uncomfortable and too noisy since it is located next to PA Turnpike.

Major security concern!

Posted Feb 25, 2014
The room was fine, but double-lock your doors! My wife and I moved our bags into the room, and I left her to shower and get ready for bed while I went out to see a local friend. Shortly thereafter, the lady at the front desk gave our room card out to some guy who walked right in on my wife, thinking the room was empty and ready for him. Thankfully the guy was not a creep and quickly left, went back to the front desk, and got a different room. The front desk didn't even have someone call to apologize. When I complained the next day, only then did the manager apologize and give me an excuse, blaming their computer system. Great... it wasn't incompetence on the part of one worker, it's a computer check-in system that will reproduce incompetence nationally!

fine for the money

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: staff, room cleanliness
Location: located close to shopping and restaurants
This hotel room was $40-50 cheaper than any room around. It is 100% smoke free, had new bathroom fixtures, new beds, new flat screen tv. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. However, the beds were a little hard, the pillows were a little hard, the sheets were a little scratchy, and the towels were small and not too thirsty. Overall, fine experience for the money.

Clean in Cranberry

Posted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: Clean and conveniently located
Cons: Coffee maker in room would be nice
Location: Cranberry Home and Garden Show
Nice clean hotel. Very basic needs. No coffee maker, hair dryer, fridge or microwave. Met my needs while there for business. I needed a nice clean place to sleep and it definitely provided that.

simple but clean

Posted Feb 3, 2014
We just needed somewhere to spend the night as we had to leave by 5:00am. I wanted a hotel that was clean and comfortable. I didn't want to spend money on a bunch of extras I didn't need. This hotel fit the bill. It was very simple but very clean.

Adequate

Chose hotel based on location while visiting family and low cost. Frankly, there was nothing remarkably positive or negative about our experience. Our expectations and needs were low, and this hotel met them without issue. The room was clean and modest but comfortable. The room was cold at first, but cranking the heater up changed that problem. The location offers many restaurants in a short drive (or even a walk). Also, easy access to both I-76 and I-79.

An OK Stay

Posted Dec 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at this hotel years ago. The area has grown up into quite the commercial hub. So there is lots of food and resources available. The hotel is insulate enough so that noise was not a problem and access is great. But room layout of the room is not all that great. You are constantly avoiding the bed or desk or your luggage. This is kinda endemic to Red Roof layouts. The room was cold when we arrived and it was hard to warm it up with their radiant ceiling heating system. That took forever. The bed was large and comfortable though. Shower was OK, but didn;t have great pressure. And that "step up and in and out tub" is a pain! Plus I HATE toilets with no lids. ("oops, there goes one towel.") Had to call to get an extra roll of TP on arrival. The desk guy thoughtfully walked it over. Overall, it was a safe, clean congested room where we slept and did ok. The price was good and we moved on. We'd stay again but probably would look for another possibility in the area first. Red Roof Inns may no longer be on our hotels of choice list.
