Praktisches Hotel Nähe Downtown

Posted Jul 19, 2015

Nice hotel extremely close to PNC Park

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: The proximity to the ball park - wow! Very nice! No parking hassles.
The hotel staff was very helpful and available to answer all questions. The hotel is also close to a number of activities, including a casino, and offered a shuttle service to transport us.

I am happy to know that our front desk was able to assist you with any and all questions you had regarding our city. The complimentary shuttle is a great amenity so you don't have drive around the city.

Right outside PNC Park

Pros: Proximity to the ball park and the shuttle service
Cons: A restaurant that was open for lunch and dinner as well as breakfast.
Location: PNC Park, Walkable trails along the Allegheny River, good restaurants
We came to Pittsburgh for the sole reason of watching the Pirates take on the Phila. Phillies and wanted a hotel that was close to the ball park. I don't think we could have gotten any closer. It was wonderful.

You can't get much closer than the home plate entrance of PNC Park. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and were able to take in ballgame as well.

Great hotel in downtown Pittsburgh.

Posted May 28, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: The breakfast needs to have food available, and a reduction in the parking fee.
Location: The "strip district", Andy Warhol museum, Pirates and Steelers games, and the cultural district.
The staff was courteous and efficient and the room was spotless and comfortable. The location was ideal to attend a Pirates game and then see the sights of Pittsburgh.

The North Shore makes it so easy to get around the city of Pittsburgh with the close proximity to PNC Park, Heinz Field, Stage AE, and the museums, you can't ask for a better location

All good except for parking

Posted May 28, 2015
Pros: The room was great.
Very nice room and hotel in a great location across the street from PNC Park. Just surprised to get a bill on last morning for parking. Hotel staff stated hotel does not own the parking lot. Just a heads up on the website would be a nice thing to include because there was plenty of on street parking I could have used which was free.

I am sorry if it was noted that we charged for parking, but like the desk stated we do not own the lot. Just for future reference the street parking is not available on the weekends when there are special events like a concert or game.

Nice hotel, but housekeeping was horrible.

Posted May 11, 2015
The hotel was nice and the location was good. We stayed here for marathon weekend and it was a perfect walking distance to the race. Hotel staff was nice but for the 7 days we were here, housekeeping missed doing our room three times. We reported it to the front desk each time, but for a hotel under the Marriott name sake, I was very disappointed. When you are paying as much as you do for a hotel in the city, one expects housekeeping to be included in the daily amenities. Hotel staff was apologetic, but as I said, I was very surprised that this happened so many times and disappointed that it did. And even though the staff apologized, housekeeping that came up to fix up our room after it was mixed did NOT do a Marriott standard job. The bed basically just had the covers thrown back over it and towels were, what seemed, thrown on he towel bars. The floors, mirrors and counters were never wiped down (I think for the entire length of our stay). In addition, the drain in the shower would never stay up so the tub would fill every time we took a shower. I am not a fan of standing in water while showering so this grossed me out. While we were in town for the marathon, we did not know the 5k was happening right outside our window the night before. While we love runners and don't mind the actual race occurring, it was not pleasant to be woken up the day before the big race because of music blaring outside our room at 630/7 in the morning. A little heads up notice would have been nice.

I am delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again in the future. I apologize for the issues with our housekeeping department and we will be working with them in order to get the problem remedied. You should never have to request housekeeping service they should be coming to the room every day unless you have a privacy sign on the door.

Running Home

Was in town ro the Pittsburgh Marathon. Chose this hotel as it was within a mile of the start and finish line. Staff was great, the room was awesome and it was close and easy access to go an visit family on the days before the race. A great location if you're in to see the Pirates and Steelers as well.

Nice stay for one night

Posted May 4, 2015
Nice location right at North Shore. Stadiums are in walking distance. Building seems to be somewhat new, which as nice and everything is state of the art. Small setback with the pool as this is very small and can easily be crowded if more than three people use it at the same time.
